On September 13, 1973, this monument in honor of Uncle Pen was unveiled at Uncle Pen's grave, by Bill Monroe at the Rosine Cemetery in Rosine, Kentucky.
Pendleton, IN. - What a day! What a day Christmas was. Christmas in Pendleton, Indiana that is. From early Saturday morning with the crowing of the Pendleton Snow Princess, the measuring of what is probably a record snow by Parade Grand Marshall, Alicia Roman of WISH-TV and then toward evening with the Christmas Tree Lighting and caroling, the entire town of Pendleton was filled with children, parents, and shoppers for a day that will be long remembered by all.
