Focal piece is dark brown cardstock. Stamped Rubber Soul Tree Tile using VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Rubbed Tsukineko Brilliance Rocket Red Gold ink over top for an embossed resist technique.
The close-up photo is the best example that I have of how pretty the Rocket Red Gold color is in real life. It is a coppery orange that has gold iridescence and I just love it!
Trimmed and then matted onto a second piece of dark brown cardstock. Attached to the card base with foam squares for dimension.
Aqua paper is Bluebird from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie line. Striped paper is Slim Jim from Cosmo Cricket's Wanted line. Fiskars Upper Crest border punch used on striped paper.
Thanks for looking! :-)
rainbow chem trail from the full wing width despite only two engines. all this stuff that the cloud appreciation societies `gavin pretor pinney` talks about regarding irridescent clouds being from naturally occuring clouds is bull, this photo says it loud and clear, in full technicolour. is this where the irridescent clouds come from
Not one of my photos but not easily findable on the web either. This is Dany Bahar's 'company car' while he was with Lotus and it came up for sale when he left. If it had been Alpine White instead of the pearlescent white I might have had to put in a bid.
Reminiscent of the fluid lines of a fountain pen, the Forever Pearl combines modern writing convenience with old world charm. With its pearlescent finish and decorative circles, this pen looks stunning on a desk or in the hand. Comes in a sleek velvet pouch. All Cross pens come with a lifetime...
Amazing paintjob on this classic Karmann Ghia, even showing hints of green and blue in the right light!
Portrait of Sarah Bernhardt, 1876.
In the privacy of her home or in the theatre, Sarah Bernhardt made her life into a spectacle at the service of her talent.
To achieve this, she managed to inspire the admiring complicity of painters, sculptor, photographers and poster designers, who depicted the many facets of her role as a Diva. The painter Clairin, who was her lover and then a loyal friend, remained the official portraitist of his illustrious muse for fifty years.
At the 1876 Salon, all the press noticed the Portrait of Mlle Sarah Bernhardt, Member of the Comédie Française. The singular beauty of this rising star of the French theatre did not fail to move the Parisian critics, who either deplored or admired the slender, sinuous figure painted by Clairin. The 32-year-old actress was enjoying her first triumphs in the plays of Racine and Hugo at the time. As a sign of her social ascent, she had just moved into her new mansion near to Monceau Park, the bohemian splendour of which is depicted in this painting.
This large portrait showing the subject in a white satin dress, with a very studied nonchalance, was one of Sarah Bernhardt’s favourites and she kept it all her life. In 1876 it heralded the Art Nouveau aesthetic, with its sinuous lines, pearlescent tones and the magnetism of a feminine presence that is both seductive and disquieting. When his mother died, Maurice Bernhardt donated it to the Petit Palais, where it keeps the myth of this great actress alive.
Petit Palais, Paris.
No color enhancement at all! Croped and vignetted and signed on Picnik, its otherwise an unadjusted image!
This weird color they start out with disapates as they climb up and pump their wings and new skin full of color! There is a sheen to the abdomen that is pearlescent! After transformation there is no green left at all!

Mixed media painting on maple wood panel using acrylics, gouache, pearlescent acrylic artist's inks, spirograph used for some flowers, alcohol used to create spots on top of very watered down acrylic background, Gelly Roll & Souffle pens used along with Pigma Micron pens and Sharpie accents **ALL ORIGINAL ARTWORK IS THE SOUL POSSESSION OF THE ARTIST & MAY NOT BE REPRODUCED OR USED IN ANY MANNER**
During my visit to the Chatsworth Rally on Saturday 29th Sept, rain interrupted my look around the various car clubs on show. After the rain subsided, i picked this shot up of a smart paint job on a classic Ford Escort Cosworth. I loved the way the Pearlescent paint changed colour in the light. Also liked the effect given by the rain drops.
This time I am painting the whole wall instead of a screen area. I am using a mixture of 70% Behr Silverscreen and 30% Behr White Opal Pearlescent. It looks pretty nice.
Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company, Punch Bowl with Three Ladles, 1900, glass, silver, gilding, copper, and wood, bowl 36.8 x 61 cm, ladle 6.4 x 8.9 x 25.4 cm (Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond)
Exhibited at the 1900 Paris World’s Fair (Louis Comfort Tiffany won a grand prize and received the French Legion of Honor); the bowl was owned by Henry O. Havemeyer and is made of hand-blown iridescent glass that recalls ancient Roman glass which can become pearlescent when buried. Tiffany termed this glass Favrile, after the Latin "fabrilis" (hand made).

I used some watercolour paper to add some Pearlescent paint for my background. I put some pink in the corner where I knew the die cut in the frame was. The frame is a Die cut from Couture Creations. The sentiment is from Quietfire Designs, The butterfly is a stamp and die set from Hero Arts. Coloured with Distress Markers and an aqua pen.
Oak Knoll Winery. Thirteen Miatas; Charles' NC is just to my right. The red Mazdaspeed turbo in the foreground belongs to the tour leaders and organizers, Dom and Mary Anne. You can't see the ghost flames, in violet and fuchsia, that are pearlescently hidden on the nose of that car... but they're there, and awesome.

Deboxing my LE Wedding Cinderella. The cardboard backing has been removed from the inner box, and is free standing. The doll is attached to the backing by wires and plastic ties. The background image is the exterior stairs of the Castle at night.
On my second attempt to get the the Limited Edition Wedding Cinderella 17'' Doll from eBay, I finally got her! I got her with the help of a fellow collector. She is #450 of 500, and was originally sold by the Japan Disney Store. There is a Japanese sticker on the bottom of the box. She was shipped double boxed, and very well packed. She arrived in perfect condition.
She is very beautiful, and has a serene expression, rather than the grumpy pout of the LE Ballgown Cinderella doll. Her lips have a slight smile, which is part of why she has a more pleasant expression than the other doll, who shares the same face mold. She is glancing in the opposite direction of the Ballgown Cinderella, and her skin has a matte surface, rather than the shiny pearly surface of the Ballgown doll. Her pale yellow wedding gown has many differently sized and colored rhinestones enhancing the printed floral pattern. There are also several small jeweled plastic butterflies in the skirt, hidden amongst the flowers. The decorations continue throughout the back of the dress. There are also faux pearl buttons on her sleeves and on the back of her bodice. Her skirt is very full with a long train, and is in three differently colored layers. Under her skirts is a 3/4 length single layer tulle petticoat. Attached to her hair is an oversized pale yellow sheer chiffon veil. She has golden earrings and a jeweled golden tiara. Her wedding ring is a floral design with five golden beads; it is pinned to her hand. She has the old style legs, with fixed ankles. She is wearing simple ivory heels, with no decorations.
I will be posting a full set of detailed photos of this doll. She will be shown boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed, both by herself and with other Disney Store dolls.

Ferruccio Lamborghini founded Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. in 1963 with the goal of producing the best cars in the world. The cars would be handcrafted, use the best materials and be the product of the best engineers, designers and craftsmen available. A few rumors persist as to why Ferruccio entered the market with his own motorcar, which only enriches the whole experience behind the cars, the company and the man. He was born in April 1916, and to celebrate his 100th birthday the company that bears his name built the Centenario.
In keeping with tradition, the Centenario was radically styled using carbon fiber panels and a monocoque carbon fiber chassis. It employed all-wheel drive and offered the most powerful engine available from the company, as well as rear-wheel steering, a first for Lamborghini. Only 40 would be built for worldwide consumption: 20 roadsters and 20 coupes. Standard coloring for the coupe would be bare carbon fiber with yellow accents, while the roadster would appear in a Matte Gray hue, but, of course, customers could order a Centenario in any color they wanted.
Of them, only nine would be destined for North America in 2017, and this is one of them. Having covered only 863 miles from new, Lamborghini of Newport Beach serviced the car in July 2021. The naturally aspirated 6.5L V-12 engine produces 759 HP, which, along with the 7-speed automatic transmission, propels the car from 0-60 MPH in 2.8 seconds and on to a top speed of a governor-limited 217 MPH. Carbon ceramic brakes with silver calipers scrub off speed with ease, with only 101-feet needed to bring the Centenario to a standstill from 60 MPH. With the car finished in Blue Cepheus Pearlescent and Blue Hera, bright silver accents have been hand painted to add even more visual interest, the bespoke two-tone color combination highlighting the body’s nuances. The interior is fitted with carbon fiber bucket seats and interior accents, and passengers will enjoy a touchscreen infotainment center. To be sold with books and two keys, tools, a car cover and battery tender, it also has service records to document its history.
