The main part of this page came from my art journal, a combination of pearlescent watercolors, water soluble graphite and a hand carved heart stamp. The background components are composited digital elements to accompany a digitized & extracted version of my painting.

Autumn is just around the corner, folks! In anticipation, I thought I might roll-out not one, but two, of my unreleased pieces from last October.
Here we peer out over a broad, rolling valley in Northern Connecticut where wildflower meadows and grasslands sway in the autumn breeze before a backdrop of wooded hills and pearlescent clouds.

MANTARAY is a fantastic pearlescent-finished custom car, built by renowned stylist, Dean Jefferies. In their feature coverage, Hot Rod Magazine termed the MANTARAY a "masterpiece in the field of experimental dream creations". On display at the 2012 World of Wheels Car Show in Kansas City Missouri. Best seen on black background.
I cut some daisies to bring inside and found these lovely golden insect eggs on the back of one of the leaves. They're very pearlescent and bronze/gold in color and tiny, as you can see by the nail head for scale. They appear to be leaf footed insect eggs (but I'm not positive). I feel kind of bad that I cut the plant, wonder if I put it in water if they'll survive?
This San Marco Rolls is something special! The classic look and finish of the semi pearlescent Gran Compe ENE seat post looks beautiful in person.

This figure is of Nono Nekomiya, a character from the eroge Yotsunoha by Hiqo-Soft. She is around 24cm in height. Her sukumizu is the Old-Type with a brand tag.
Her swimsuit, stockings, ribbons and bells are painted with pearlescent paint. There's not much else to say; this is one of the most popular sukumizu figures, for good reason.
There is a variant of this figure available featuring a white sukumizu.
My LE Wedding Cinderella Doll has been fully deboxed. She is posed standing, supported by the included display stand. With her floor length multi-layered skirt she should be able to free stand, but I didn't haven't tried to stand her that way. She is photographed from all angles.
On my second attempt to get the Limited Edition Wedding Cinderella 17'' Doll from eBay, I finally got her! I got her with the help of a fellow collector. She is #450 of 500, and was originally sold by the Japan Disney Store. There is a Japanese sticker on the bottom of the box. She was shipped double boxed, and very well packed. She arrived in perfect condition.
She is very beautiful, and has a serene expression, rather than the grumpy pout of the LE Ballgown Cinderella doll. Her lips have a slight smile, which is part of why she has a more pleasant expression than the other doll, who shares the same face mold. She is glancing in the opposite direction of the Ballgown Cinderella, and her skin has a matte surface, rather than the shiny pearly surface of the Ballgown doll. Her pale yellow wedding gown has many differently sized and colored rhinestones enhancing the printed floral pattern. There are also several small jeweled plastic butterflies in the skirt, hidden amongst the flowers. The decorations continue throughout the back of the dress. There are also faux pearl buttons on her sleeves and on the back of her bodice. Her skirt is very full with a long train, and is in three differently colored layers. Under her skirts is a 3/4 length single layer tulle petticoat. Attached to her hair is an oversized pale yellow sheer chiffon veil. She has golden earrings and a jeweled golden tiara. Her wedding ring is a floral design with five golden beads; it is pinned to her hand. She has the old style legs, with fixed ankles. She is wearing simple ivory heels, with no decorations.
I will be posting a full set of detailed photos of this doll. She will be shown boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed, both by herself and with other Disney Store dolls.

The colours are gorgeous on this one, red with yellow outlining and a dark pearlescent sparkle blue paint.
I've lusted after this frame for years now after seeing Kevin Perez riding it. And now I'm riding it.
This pretty crochet cushion features a beautiful three dimensional pink crochet rose in the centre finished with a pearlescent button and framed with a maroon and pink border detail. It is hand stitched onto a lilac envelope style cover.

Where in Italy can you sit 60 metres above a white sandy beach and watch the sun drop slowly into the mouth of an erupting volcano surrounded by pearlescent seas? The answer lies way down in the south where you will find the Calabrian town of Tropea, a gem as yet unvisited by many.

OE-INC GL5T Global Jet Austria (departing 23 in GVA). This aircraft has a unique pearlescent/iridescent paint coat (ChromaFlair variant probably). Its colours vary from the angle you look at it and from where the light comes from. Stunning!
It currently flies with callsign Gobal Austria 92 November Charlie (GLJ92NC).
Livia’s nails are always perfect. She gets her nails refilled with gel once a week. Pink gel, always, the Prada of nail gel she has been told. Each week she gets a new color. The color depends, of course, on her mood. If the sun is shining and she’s just paid all her bills and has some left over to spare for martinis downtown, then she gets something like Pearlescent Pink or Make ‘Em Yell Yellow. If it is winter and the snow is coming down and the wind is blowing cruelly or her boyfriend has asked for yet another break, she gets something a little darker: Gunmetal Grey, Drop Dead Red.
Livia’s nails are always perfect, filled and drilled down to a curved point that looks almost dangerous if you are distracted away from her smile long enough to notice.
But that is now. Two or three years ago, Livia couldn’t have cared less about her nails, or if she did, she had to forego the pleasure of getting them done. What she cared about then was keeping her nails short, cut nearly to the quick so that if a girl from the other team got in her face, and she had to get her hand in that girl’s face, she didn’t want the girl to have scratch marks across her cheeks that she’d report back to her coach. Not that she was a dirty player, but there were considerations to be made. Livia cared about that, and other things.
She cared about getting a good look at the other team before a game, measuring their strengths, gauging their weaknesses. She cared about keeping the laces on her boots tight and firm. She cared about the feel of her team jersey against her neck and the elasticity of her socks. She cared about keeping her usually coiffed hair pulled back against her skull and keeping it in place with an unyielding rubber band.
She cared about the ruck, the scrum, the line-out, the maul. She cared about who was playing fly half, scrum half, full back, loose head prop, hooker. She cared about her position.
Livia cared about rugby more than she cared about anything else. She cared in a fierce way. On the pitch, she was transformed. She could be as strong, as brutal, as charged with purpose as she rarely was in her regular day-to-day life. She could be a soldier. She could battle. She could slide through mud, thigh first and come up with the ferocious red of an early bruise. She could knock her shoulders against other shoulders and grunt her frustration through her nose. She could rise out of a scrum with a line of blood coming from her lip and lick it clean with a grin. She could beat her chest in victory with the best of them.
After each game, she’d wash her kit and hang it all out to dry on a line strung up in her apartment. She’d ease herself carefully onto her couch, wincing with pleasure at the ache in a knee, the sore elbow. Beer in hand, she’d chew at her nails, keeping them short, spitting them out to land she cared not where.
Then, Livia didn’t think about colors like Pearlescent Pink or Gunmetal Grey, but rather the intriguing rainbow of bruises that spread across her skin—spreading, shape-shifting, and then fading away to nothing, given time.

This cute little bag is crocheted using lilac yarn with a glitter thread throughout giving it a pretty sparkle. It features a heart shaped flap secured with a heart shaped pearlescent button and a short handle for carrying.
This 1935-1938 Parker Vacumatic fountain pen, possibly the "Slender" model, in laminated green emerald DuPont pearlescent celluloid, was a gift from Peter Beck, restored per advice by the Fountain Pen Shop's Fred P. Krinke. Stuart Hawkinson replaced the missing "jewel": the laminated celluloid cone secured by the metal "tassie ring" at the end of the barrel. Greg Minuskin re-tipped the broken nib, and completed restoration: installing a new diaphragm (part of the filling mechanism), polishing the cap and barrel, and re-plating the nib in the original two-tone pattern.
The pen is filled with Noodler's Ink Legal Lapis permanent ink, and shown here with a Seven Seas "Standard" A5 blank journal, thread-bound of Tomoe River paper, from Nanami Paper; "artisanal filler text" is by Hipster Ipsum.
Although I really enjoyed carrying the journal in a cheap plastic cover with an inserted print of one of my Sagrada Familia photos, I switched to a Gfeller Casemakers English kip leather cover. (Thanks, Mom!)

Here she is in her box! I bought her at Meijer this morning for 19.99. They only had two, and it was only the evil queen. I bought one.lol I assume they have already sold out of Ursula. I didn't see any traces of the new disney signature princesses. The evil queen is very pretty, especially for a Mattel play line disney doll. One thing I will have to say is, I think this is a play line doll, instead of a collector doll. It came with no certificate, or stand. It also has the hollow plastic legs, and very stiff joints for sturdy play. Her outfit is made out of a couple different fabrics. Her dress is the typical stiff Mattel satin. Her sleeves are a almost polyester spandexy material. Her cape is a felt like material, that they use alot with velcro. So it's not the nicest. The cowl is the same stiff satin Mattel uses. Her crown is a hard plastic painted in gold chrome. It stays on with plastic pegs, that connects to the back of her head. Her head is a pearlescent peach vinyl, with crushed black velvet lining her face. The crushed velvet goes all around her head instead of half way, so thank goodness.lol her apple is the same plastic as the crown, but painted in red and green chrome paint. It has a prong that specially fits in the queens specially molded hand. Her belt is a soft gold plastic, could be rubber. Her shoes are a hard gold plastic, and have the skull apple embellishments on the tip. All in all, I think for a Mattel doll, she's worth it! Especially if you don't have a evil queen. And I actually prefer this one over the Disney store one.
