Barbie® Mermaid Enchantress™ doll, the second doll to debut in the Mythical Muse™ fantasy series, features a sea-inspired look with enchanted details. Fish-scale sequins in soft coral and sea-foam hues cover Barbie® doll’s mermaid tail, creating a shimmering effect from every angle. Accessories inspired by ocean treasures include a coral accented headpiece, peplum and earrings. Barbie® doll’s flowing, pearlescent hair is kissed with pastel pink and blue highlights and features a delicate braided detail.

some test with gradient colours I made using the LegoDots sets and white parts from my own collection. the only frustration is that you'll need a lot of LegoDots sets in order to achieve bigger projects and repeating pattern

6x6. Micron pen on Canson Effects paper. This is kind of an exploration of what I could do with the paper. It has a slight pearlescent sheen, and is slick enough to smudge the ink slightly before it dries.

The line has been discontinued. Too bad. It's nice stuff.

As I was working on this set, the chorus of the Ramblin' Jack Elliot song "The South Coast" kept running through my head: "...but a lion still rules the barranca, and a man there is always alone."

The colors I chose were inspired by the rugged barrancas of western Mexico. My favorite of these is Copper Canyon, really a complex of canyons grander than the Grand Canyon in its size, beauty, and wildlife. The maroon of manzanita bark, the green and gold of aspen leaves, and the blue of the evening sky as the first stars appear all swirl together, embraced by the lions' golden claws. In the lions' domain, you're never really alone.

The pendant was hand crafted from artist-grade polymer clay enhanced with pearlescent mica powders and copper findings. The marbled center is lovingly sanded, buffed, and polished to a high shine, and the outer part was been sealed to protect its pearlescent shimmer. The back of the pendant was textured to ensure comfort against bare skin. The Mountain-Gem Arts logo is on the back of the pendant. The pendant measures 1.6" x 1" (41 x 25.4 mm), and was strung on a princess-length deep brown velveteen cord finished with hand-crafted copper coil ends, a three-step antiqued copper extension chain allowing adjustment from 18" to 19.3" to 20.5" (45.7-52.1 cm) to accommodate higher and lower necklines, and a dainty antiqued copper lobster claw clasp

This figure is of an Elin, a race from the TERA: The Exiled Realm of Arborea MMORPG. She is around 26cm in height, base included. Her sukumizu is the Very Old-Type, with a name tag that has the name written out.

A large and painstakingly-detailed figure, it features a widely popular (and controversial) race from the game. Instead of featuring a particular character, it instead features a potential avatar that the player must customize to achieve. This is very unusual and really speaks to the popularity of this race.

She is a Berserker class and is wielding an axe with the Gargantalon skin, called "cursed death scythe" (呪縛のデスサイズ) in the Japanese version. She has a large oval mirror base with a hidden metal rod that inserts into her right foot. Her massive weapon extends out even farther from the base.

Measuring her actual height - taking account her bent position, extended heel and not measuring her ears - she would be roughly 27cm tall standing. This is taller than my 1/6 scale figures, and even almost as tall as some of my 1/5 scales. Considering the Elin is a small race in comparison to humans, I would estimate she is around 1/5 or 1/4.5 scale.

Her sukumizu has a glossy, liquid quality and is superbly sculpted like the rest of the figure. Even the name tag its own model with varying depth. Her skin has a subtle pearlescent texture, giving it a radiant glow. Her hair is quite detailed with lock carefully rendered and placed to show motion. The axe features metallic paint and is just as thoroughly modeled as the actual character.

This is quite simply the most epic sukumizu figure I own. She features an unparalleled combination of winning elements. For one thing, I happen to be quite fond of the Elin race. They have completely flat chests, large shapely hips and thighs, and large moe heads, a unique body type that I find attractive. As an added bonus this is a mimikko race, and I am very pleased with the choice of bunny for this figure. Not only is her hair style elegant and lolita-inspired, but it's also carnation pink, one of my favorite hair colors for anime-style girls.

Her pose is graceful and dynamic, her weapon is as beautiful as it is menacing. Though subtle, the figure features a rainbow of colors that is instantly pleasing to look at. And her sukumizu being the Very Old-Type has an unmistakable signature from all angles. A glossy sukumizu is usually not my preference, but as meticulous as the wrinkle details are, it is of a high caliber that is rarely seen among these types of figures. For this size and price point, the quality is really astounding. The defects that regularly plague mass-produced PVC figures (seam lines, paint errors, etc.) are very scarce and careful examination is necessary to find any.

There is a variant of this figure featuring a white sukumizu. There is also variant of this figure that features alternate attire (armor) and a different type of axe.

.......This is the current car model that I own right now, a 1999 model year, registered June 1999 in UK, RHD, in pearlescent dark blue, with black leather, and most of the CLK extras. Built by the German specialist coachwork builder Karmann of Osnabrück.

It has the Lorinser body kit as shown here, including 18 x 8inch Lorinser LS-1 wheels, is debadged, although it's a CLK 320 Elegance, and has a black radiator grill. Also has Lorinser exhaust tips.

I took a punt when I saw it advertised, bought it, and have never seen another one like it since.

There are plenty of CLK coupes/convertibles around my local area in South London, England, but nothing like this car.

According to the registration document, it was first registered oversesas, In Nicosia, Cyprus, and the coupe is right hand drive. It then lived in City of Chester, then Tonbridge, Kent, and now lives with me.

As the car seems to have only one Pirelli P-Zero tyre on at the moment, I am saving up for a full set of P-Zero 225x40x18 ZR tyres, as I don't like mixing brands of tyres on the same axle.

Update:

I now have two P-Zero 225x40x18 ZR tyres on the rear axle, and the front two are to be replaced soon.....

There were a couple of challenges that I wanted to enter, which called for pastels. Well, pastels are not my favorite at all (far from it), so I've been dragging my feet on this. Then I thought about using a couple of techniques that I haven't used in awhile but really love...and thus was born this card. I inked up an embossing folder by Cuttlebug with a baby blue pigment ink and Pearlescent yellow by Brilliance. You can't see the yellow very well in this photo but it's scattered throughout the embossing. I then pulled out some really old vellum and heat embossed a wood grain pattern in Pearlescent Pink, using the mini Grain stamp by Winnie & Walter. The yellow vellum is clear vellum that I inked with more Pearlescent yellow..and the wreath is also by Winnie & Walter, and was heat embossed. I added a die cut flower by Ellen Hutson, leaves by Taylored Expressions, and a sentiment by Anna Griffin. With all that texture and vellum I hardly notice that it's all pastels!

Today i have been at the Yorkshire Modified Car Show, an annual event of which has some of the best modified cars in the Yorkshire area, based at Pickering ShowgroundParked outside was around 400 simply amazing cars, everything from modified VAG vehicles (VW, Skoda, Seat, Audi etc), JDM imports and a few Muscle cars. I went with my good friend Jordan, in his beemer.

This absolutely stunning FD Mazda RX-7 was parked up outside, in a stunning pearlescent colour. I wasn't a fan of the wheels, but it looked simply amazing, and sounded even better. Jezza once said that the RX7 was the modern day Japanese E-Type...Says it all really. Plus, the last FD RX-7 i had seen before the show, was back in 2004 in Filey, and them two come at once at this show...amazing!

There seems to be another change in Tescos Realtoy based Mini Series with even more new colours available. Sadly and probably due to cost cutting, a lot of these new colour variations are flat non metallic ones. This Porsche Cayenne previously has been seen in a deep pearlescent white but this new white is just that! Flat white! LOL. Still a decent licensed model which is still noticeably cheaper than an equivalent Mattel product. Mint and boxed.

It's night time so I didn't get the best pics with the magnifying lamp. She has mocha lids with some pearlescent sheen.

Card for Challenge #5 to use embossing - big dots stencil using pearlescent paste and clear embossed mosaic baubles.

I must have been going through a "black" phase at the time cos we had another black car, too.

At Greenwich Cars & Pizza 2017 in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Card done in mostly distress inks. The sentiment was printed from Robo Master then cut on the Silhouette as was the mat, butterfly, fern, leaves and rose. A little bit of Pearlescent paints ont he butterfly and around the edge of the mat.

Used a pearlescent sky blue ink for the sky, Copics, some cork for the road and lots of fussy cutting for this scene.

I read in a magazine about a guy who does underpainting using silver gouache and chinese inks for his pastels. They looked interesting, and I'd never thought of that so I devised a simple test. This test is using Kurateka sumi-e ink, watercolor pans, and pearlescent watercolor paints. The pastel is then done over them with the idea that it'd add interest to the pastel.

some body art that i did this year at burning man; FW Pearlescent acrylic paint and fine tip marker.

The big Enterprise D got an overspray of pearlescent blue metallic lacquer for her next to last coat giving her a bluish metallic look.

Dullcote was then applied for a flat finish.

This particular AC Cobra Replica was in amazing condition when it was spotted as an exhibit at the 2013 Classic Transport Gathering at Crich Tramway Village in Derbyshire, on the 26th August 2013. This particular Pilgrim Sumo was made back in 2003 and it was first registered in the UK, in the same year, on the 1st of April 2003 so presumably has lived in the UK all its life. This one does have its original engine according to the DVLA, a 5.7 Litre (5700cc) V8 engine which runs on petrol. This particular car when seen had been given pearlescent paint, and this is the paint that changes colour depending upon the angle of viewing, this paint costs around £1000 a litre.
