This block is created using a tutorial by Freshly Pieced entitled Hexing Around Block. I love it - it is scrappy and fun.
Made from polo-type shirts first used as temporary uniform items after my transfer from SFORR to OAKOZ in 1988. (Exception is the b&w stripe.)
It's apx 3'10" square, poly batting, tied with embroidery thread. Machine pieced (ugh).
Wow that was a lot of seams to press! I wasn't too sure about the patchwork right up until I sewed it on. I'm having similar misgivings to Rachel when she auditioned her first patchwork panels -- it might be competing too much, but I like it more every time I look at it, so it stays.

Some of my favorites!
This is the little quilted blanket that I have made for my little granddaughter to be. She is due in 3 or 4 weeks and I am so pleased that I finished it in time. I still have to do a little bit of outline quilting and add some eyes until it is complete, but I am pleased at how it looks.
Este "log cabin" lo tenÃa hecho hace tiempo, sólo me faltaba acolcharlo, por fÃn lo he terminado.
Vintage bag
I bought this wonderful handles with wood elements 3 years ago, thought that I do something just for me - how naive was I:-)))
This year I found wonderful vintage look patchwork summer dress and I definitely decided to make my own bag as my Birthday present for myself…..:-)
So here it is:-)) I know, the colors are not common, but it was done to fit to my dress.
I’m happy :-))) and ……. actually I am doing the second one:-))))) This time for my friend Marketa and I love the colors, I choose;-)
ainda falta colocar forro, e outros acabamentosinhos...fiz de encomenda...
