DSLRs are weird. My old S2 had 'supermicro' which involved getting as close as possible to what I was photographing and squeezing the trigger while gently breathing out. (what IS a tripod anyway....)
Doing a macro on a DSLR involves standing half a mile away and using a zoom at full stretch. It takes some getting used to.
I took my cat Patches over to live with Nathan and I at our place. I knew between her and Rajah, that Patches would be the one to settle in better. She has always wanted to be an indoor cat. She would always meow at the door on the nicest days. In case you can't tell, she is loving it here. I had to put a blanket on the bed to protect the comforter from her hair cause she sheds a lot. The lighting in the room made this picture look like a sepia picture.
A patch-in-progress on my oldest son's jeans. This is the evil green-eyed tentacle beast from the planet Marzipan -- it eats almonds, sugar and brains!
Once I get this finished, I'll be doing a flying saucer on the other knee. I'll also be writing up a "how to" tutorial for my blog and urbanhippy.ca. :)

Because I only had one full day in New York I took back to back Hop On Hop Off Buses. Some of the images are not very good as the bus would go over bumps etc,.I have kept them in as memorises of the day. I only got off the bus once so most of the photos were taken as we were travelling along. Sadly I just didn't have time to have a good walk around.
I woke to a lovely sunny day and not too cold with around 16c. As the day went on it clouded over a bit and cooled down. November 7, 2018 USA.
