The Pumpkin Patch is located on Sauvie's Island just 15 minutes northwest of Portland, OR. From Portland, take Highway 30 west towards Scappoose to the Sauvie Island bridge. After crossing the bridge, circle to the left and loop back under the bridge, following Gillihan Road to the farm. Head straight 2 miles until you see our signs.
Market and U-pick: 9 AM - 6 PM, June through October.
Pumpkin Cottage Giftshop: 10am - 6pm.
Patio Cafe: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 10am - 6pm.
The Maize: September-October.

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: Hola! Sarita looks ready for a trip to Spain! As a Spanish major, I was often pressured to make such a trek myself (obviously, it was sort of expected of me since I was majoring in the language), but I never honestly had any inclination to leave New England for any amount of time. But perhaps Sarita (we gave her Shelly's Spanish name from when she was in school) is willing to go see the streets Federico Garcia Lorca (my favorite Spanish writer) roamed in his day. Sarita was a very thoughtful gift, part of the "Barbies and Biggies lot" in July 2024. I love how she has the "sad face"--I know collectors call it "sad" because it has no dimples, but I think it's really charming! To me, she looks like she's ready to eat and is sort of smiling. Even though this, to me, is the most iconic face sculpt (because our first CPK doll has it), we don't have that many dolls with it and, currently, she's our only girl with this face! Although without her factory attire she would just be a 1985 Cabbage Patch Kid, with this dress? She's ready to go to Spain and dance! She is really adorable! These travel sets are iconic to me, I always wanted one, and now--we have one! She's so much fun.

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: In the summer of 2022 (or was it 2023?) I remember seeing a couple of these darlings--lemon locks, one tooth, girl--at our local flea market. However, they were never the right price on the right day. Shelly was ecstatic, therefore, when this cutie literally showed up on our doorstep in July 2024! The two guys who sent us Lanie back in 2020 most generously sent us two HUGE boxes of dolls (which we call the "Barbies and Biggies lot") as a surprise. The first box contained mostly Barbies, but also had our BIG soft sculptured girl and this Circus Kid. I'll never understand the Circus Kid gimmick. I like the classic Cabbage Patch look--normal babyish clothes. I think where the line may have lost its popularity is when they started these gimmicky lines. See, dolls like the Twins are great because they wear nice, normal clothes for Cabbage Babies, but two dolls equals twice the fun! The World Traveler line looks less classic, but still pretty tame and very cute. Plus, the idea of Cabbies traveling abroad is CUTE. But taking an adorable Cabbage child and dressing her like a clown (and clowns are scary), that's just not sensible marketing. That's my opinion anyway, but I never liked the circus (I was scared of the clowns). Anyway, I love that Lenore is from a specialty line, even if it's a weird one! She's absolutely precious, especially with that little tooth! And she doesn't spend a lot of time dressed as a clown. Shelly suggested the name Lenore for her and I LOVE the name. I love the name Lenore in general, and I think it fits this little beauty! She's so much fun and I'm so thankful to the guys who sent her to join our family!
I used the patch tool to remove all of the yellow tags on the shelf by selecting the area around each patch and drag to the side. A few became slightly miscolored so i used the spot healing brush tool on content aware to fix that

We had to walk through the small patch of snow on the west side of Helen Lake and puzzle out how to climb the boulder-strewn hillside to keep on the loop. Fortunately there were cairns set up here & there to help guide us. Also fortunately the snow was not nearly as deep as it was a couple of years ago.
I am usually better than this but this jersey was bought on ebay years ago and while it doesnt look too bad this blue Rimouski jersey is a fake. It obviously has a 2005 Memorial Cup London patch to resemble a Crosby jersey from that season.
Purchased on ebay thankfully for not too much money.
The boys aren't used to being handfed yet, so they ignored the corn and zipped around. Mochi refused to have his picture taken, and Patch consented but moved in the last second. >_>

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: This is Dorothy--She was a generous gift in July 2024, she is AWESOME, and she is in great shape! She reminds me of one of our favorite Cabbies--Joy Irene--because of her golden blonde hair, but she's so much more vibrant! In July of 2024, two packages from two very generous guys showed up at our door two days in a row! (The guys mailed them at the same time, but the boxes got separated in the mail.) Because there had been some strange thing with tracking, the generous senders actually messaged Shelly the day before the first box showed up and asked if we'd gotten anything. So, it was, therefore, not a total shock to find a giant box. Box one had a note saying there was ANOTHER box. Box two had a LOT of Cabbage Patch Kids! Which was AMAZING! Shelly and I had been LOOKING for more Cabbies. (The lady who regularly has more than one at our local flea market wants ten dollars or more each--I think we paid fifteen for Nathan--and most of them aren't interesting enough to pay more than a few dollars for.) But hadn't had success in a while. Suddenly, we'd been inundated with Cabbies! (Coleco Cabbies hold onto a lot of odor too, so the studio smelled a little weird for a couple days.) What on earth were we going to name them all? A few names jumped out at us, then Shelly suggested borrowing names from our guinea pigs! In the end, this girl was left with "Dorothy" because the "gorgeous" one had been named Penelope, the "monkey face" girl Poppy, the "dirty" one had to be Delilah, and the quirky Cornsilk doll was Winnie (our guinea pig Winnie died before we got these dolls, but her name was PERFECT for the Cabbage in question). However, I think Dorothy FITS her. A brunette would've been a more natural choice for the name, because of Wizard of Oz, but I really do think this girl is a Dorothy. She's like our guinea pig--sweet, vibrant, bright eyed, and lively! She's a real charmer! I definitely feel like she cleaned up better than some of the others and they all cleaned up really well! We're guessing these dolls (who I think the guys thrifted with us in mind) all originally (or most of them) came from the same person's collection. Most were wearing attire that was likely original (all the dates checked out in terms of dolls' stamps and years outfits were used) and all had the look of either being owned by a collector or gently loved by a careful kid. No one was totaled--although a few were really dirty (especially Delilah). But sometimes, even if dolls were manufactured around the same time and owned by the same person, some dolls just age better. (Take our childhood GOTs, Angela and Valerie--same home, bought within a month of each other, but Angela aged so much better.) I'm thinking Dorothy is just one of those lucky girls who fared well over time. Her almost forty years have not dulled her sparkle! She's a gem! If only we could all be like Dorothy--wake up, roll out of bed, and still look gorgeous!

Oakwood Public Safety Dept. patch. All officers of the department are cross trained and serve as police officers, firefirgters, and EMTs/Paramedics.
Though this picture doesn't convey the beauty I saw from the plane this green patchwork farmland along side the brown mountain divide was very striking. In fact this patch work came up later in a building I saw downtown for which I'm pretty certain this might have been the inspiration for the design.
Scouts were to wear the official jamboree patch and scarf. Each of the three jamborees held at Valley Forge used image of Washington Praying in the Snow.
