Yesterday during a talk by Andrey Polikanov (of the Russian Reporter Magazine and the last WPP jury) he talked about the 10b processing style... Well, I got a look at their portfolio, and I must say that I do not like that look on all except two or three pics, for me it's a bit too, how should I say it? ...to un-subtle!
I prefer the pics to look natural, to breathe by themselves, rather than scream processing, regardless of the amount of work that went into them!
IMHO, if you can see the hard work of the "printer" in a print then that work is wasted.
Measured the weight of all the camera gear to be over 7kg. After this shoot, felt some pain on my back. The next morning persisted to complete the 2 rolls. And then felt exhausted when preparing to go work. Accident happened after that. Couldn’t focus and didn’t brake on time. Luckily, by the time when I received these photos scanned, the car had been repaired and was back on the road.
Lesson learned. Pushing too hard and over the limits might not be a good thing over the long run.
A trio of C40-8Ms with CN 2414, 2416 and BCOL 4606 lead train U752, a frac sand train southbound past JB Tower in West Chicago.
CSX No. 5327 is the Western Maryland emblem locomotive, but I didn't know that until this train was passing me. It is leading westbound stack train No. 157 at Perry, Ohio, passing the rear of an eastbound intermodal train.
What was formerly Le Marchant Barracks in Devizes is now converted into accommodation. Stagecoach West e400 15972 YP14GZB is seen on November 3rd 2018 heading into town from Swindon.
Just before 66101 with 6E30 comes into sight, 1S20, Kings Cross - Aberdeen gets the green light. Timed to perfection I capture the rear of the HST with the front of 66101 at Inveresk. 6/8/14 at 1817
B1 4-6-0 61264 is seen getting to grips with the 1 in 49 gradient just after passing Grosmont Shed. The B1 is working the 1400 Whitby - Pickering service on a lovely 3rd July 2017. It is seen passing here at 1436
JS8167 locomotive is seen reversing past rows of Hutongs with a rake of empty wagons en-route to the open pit at Sandaoling to collect coal for the return journey to the wash plant. The traditional Chinese dwellings that line the Hutongs have largely been abandoned as a result China’s re-housing modernisation policy. Xinjiang Province, People’s Republic of China. ,
We have had small groups of pelicans coming through our part of the Elk River on migration! The pelican scouts came about 3 weeks ago and now, groups are passing through! Amazing to see! Feels like a good omen!
This is passing cars and trucks on the street in Kabukicho.
The red is the light of a truck...and you can see a person through the window of the car on the right.

This picture was taken in July 1984 and it can be seen compared to the previous picture that reeds have taken over a third to a half of the pond's water surface. The valley bottom here collected rainwater that ran off the steep sided valley.
Before the ponds were built to exploit it, this area was the watershed of the valley floor, a marsh drained by what is now Pow Beck that ran (and still does run) both ways, one leg to Whitehaven and the other to St Bees. Viewed from Stanley Breast, an up train of caustic soda liquor tanks (possibly 7F43 Corkickle to Runcorn) are passing the scene behind an unidentified class 25.
All bar the 5 Mercs and one Optare Solo, Arrans fleet is made up of Volvo's. PS 20526 is seen passing Olympian 16864 in Whiting Bay as it heads back to Brodick after completing a round the Island tour.
On the morning of yesterday, I have overslept a little. The reason is because I watched to midnight a great photos of Flickr at night of the day before.
So, I had to go to the office in a hurry. I returned and took some shots because I had a feeling that I was hailed to this flower. This flower is not bad particularly.
But an excuse got longer.

昨日の朝、僕は少し寝坊をしてしまいました。前日の夜遅くまでFlickrの写真を夢中になって見ていたためです。
そんな訳で、僕は急いでオフィスに行かなければなりませんでした。でもこの花に呼び止められたような気がしたので、引き返して何枚か撮りました。別にこの花が悪いわけじゃありません。
でも、言い訳が長くなりましたね。

Passing the closed Ryde & Newport Railway station at Ashey on the line to Cowes between Smallbrook Junction and Havenstreet.
The station building was closed in 1953 leaving just a shelter on the opposite platform. The building is now a private dwelling but the line has been relaid by the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and the platform and shelter on the other side have been restored. 01/10/1965 [GB 223].
