Yet another shot from the photo walk with Ian RZ68. The tones of this one are nice.
When we are doing nothing in particular, it is then that we are living through all our being. Will is suspended, but nature and time are always active; and if our life is no longer our work, the work goes on nonetheless. With us, without us, or in spite of us, our existence travels through its appointed phases.

Ahh, I should be tasered for neglecting this stream, and yours. I know, it is quite annoying for me to repeat this over and over again on every upload. Anyway, I am in the midst of my Western Art History research. Focusing on the Northern Renaissance, put forth new dimensions I have not explored before.

This is a scene from a foggy morning on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad a few weeks ago. Here visiting locomotive 315 has stopped at Cumbers Pass—elevation 10,015 feet—to take on water after the climb up the four percent grade from Chama, New Mexico. I like the inclusion of the two trainmen, one passing something up to the other. In a greater sense they symbolize the passing along of the skills required to operate steam locomotives from one generation to the next, fifty years after the last of them roamed the United States in freight revenue service.
The semaphores at Sannapos station were still in use in 1999. This is 16DA no 876 and 16E no 857 passing the gantry at the west end of the station heading in the direction of Bloemfontein on 4 July. The engine in the background is 25NC no 3410 waiting her turn to take the train in the opposite direction to Bethlehem.

A moment of low winter sun, a small island and a passing boat. That's all it takes.
I love my bright coloured hairs and even the blondes...but I seem to always revert back to my brunette tones. Perhaps because this is how I normally colour my hair in RL too.

This tiny stream flows into the Afon Garw near Pont Yr Hyl. The Afon Garw was once known as the Black river because of all the coal dust from the five mines which used to be in the valley. Now you can spot trout in the speckled sunlight. The Afon Gawr in turn flows into the Afon Ogwr which reaches the sa at Ogmore
A bright and sunny day found us deep in the woods on Central Maine and Quebec's Moosehead Sub watching locomotives from the new owner pulling a 77-car freight.

I can't find that I uploaded this image anywhere?! I seem to have forgotten it from the thousands and milions of photos I have! It's from last year, but it is the December picture of my 2013 calendar.

We found this Mule Deer buck walking through the Ponderosa Pines in Rocky Mountain National Park. The shot was taken shortly after a strong thunderstorm moved through leaving a coating of Graupel on the ground and a bit of fog/mist/steam rising. For those not familiar with Graupel, Merriam-Webster defines it as "granular snow pellets...also called soft hail".
