CS5 can't parse 7D2 RAW files so used DPP4, straight to PS, slight rebalance with a quick excursion to Topaz De Noise as shot was in grey/low light. Its sharpen routines don't harden edges as does the Adobe code.

Another from my early morning walk around a foggy Edinburgh this morning, this is Greyfriars Bobby's statue

Whilst en route to Vollen in Norway i traversed the Kiel Canal. I was delivering a V40 Motor Yacht which was a long way to go in such a small boat.

Having overnighted in Rendsburgh I rose early to make the most of the day.

I was greeted by thick fog which slowly lifted as the sun came up.

Looming out of the mist was this large vessel followed by two others. Luckily i had camera at the ready and couldn't resist grabbing this shot as the ever changing lighting created some beautiful photo opportunities.

This scene was captured 10 miles east of Rendsburgh.

It took me a couple of weeks after having the idea for this shot to plan it all out but I got there eventually. Loads of midge bites and a broken flash (note to self: I *really* need to start using sandbags!) .... but lots of fun!

The passing cloud says hello

As across the skies , it does flow

Over the fields of vibrant green

On top of the trees, it is seen

Riding the currents that do flow

High above, all life below

That gazes up at the endless sky

Where a passing cloud, now does fly

ScotRail's 380011 passes the Largs Pencil Monument as it gets underway with the 12:54 service from Largs to Glasgow Central.

The Pencil was built in 1912, to commemorate the Battle of Largs 1263, when the Scots defeated King Haco of Norway's troops on the shore at Largs. It was modelled after the round towers at Abernethy and Brechin which were wrongly thought by historians at the time to have been built for defence against the Norse.

An old light bulb that has been lying at the shed window for a couple of years. Had a play around with HDR Efex Pro 2 for this. Here is the same bulb from nearly 2 years ago... www.flickr.com/photos/mistergc/6840917718/
