A westbound Burlington Northern freight rumbles through Aurora, Illinois, and passes BN/Metra commuter trains laying over in Hill Yard on Saturday, April 16, 1988. The second unit on the freight is leased Kyle Railroad EMD GP40 No. 3116.
Passing through Oslo Central Station before going to see “Les Miserables” world arena tour in Oslo Spektrum.
From my garden hide, I recorded this passing parade of birds in just two minutes. In order of appearance they are:
1. Willie Wagtail
2. Male Satin Bower bird, very briefly
3. Male Kookaburra
4. Male Satin Bower bird, sees off Kookaburra
5. Female Satin Bower bird, sees off male
6. A second female Satin Bower bird
7. Male Satin Bower bird returns
8. Two female Satin Bower birds
9. Willie Wagtail
There were very few bird sound on the soundtrack, but there was loud noise from an external source, so I replaced it with what I hope is non-intrusive music.

The Iowa Interstate CBBI-01 with a solo unit on the point and a NS Geep along for the ride is eastbound through Grinnell, IA. Built in 1893 by the Rock Island this depot has seen more than 130 years of history pass by its windows.
Passing under the mountains east of El Paso, 4014 and The Great Race Across the Southwest pass a rock cut at Small siding near Sierra Blanca, Texas. 11/1/2019

Although the population of Hoy is now only around 400, there was a much larger population in the past. In 1890 there were four schools on the island and four churches, suggesting a much larger population. Despite the larger population there was no paved road between the north of the island and the south, only a footpath. There was, however, an unsurfaced road between the two villages on the north of the isle; Rackwick and Moaness
Glencoe, Scotland
When you go through Glencoe for the first time, the atmosphere becomes suddenly very particular and heavy of History! The vast landscapes are breathtaking whatever the light or weather conditions. I would definitely recommend that place as a stop over if you are road trippin' in Scotland. This is where happened the massacre of Glencoe in 1692, in which 38 members of the Clan MacDonald of Glencoe were killed by forces acting on behalf of the government of King William III following the Glorious Revolution.
CP H57, nickle loads from Levack, races past the Onaping Falls at right with CP 6259 and CP 5920. The Levack turn is really unique, it's the only nickle ore train in all of Canada!

I was fishing in a shallow bay, on Wolf Lake, in the Yukon, Canada when this cow moose emerged from the brush and ambled along the water's edge.

CTrain 4407 (Springfield to New Haven) passes Berkshire & Eastern train EDPL in Hartford, CT. Amtrak had the B&E crew tie down in Hartford because they wouldn't make Willow Interlocking in Berlin before their maximum on-duty hours were reached, as they were already running short on time. An ED-5 re-crew from East Deerfield, MA was called, and the freight finally departed in the evening.

Day 9. The sunset evolved. Storm clouds began to dissipate, the colors deepened and the blue hour provided a continuing show along the shore of Edison Lake. No color adjustments added.
