Newer of Aumasa's pair of Volvo B10Ms was PM-2651-AY. Here she is in Manacor in 1997. The fleet nos for Aumasa's new purchases of coaches had now reached no.50, and were then to revert to 26. (Second-hand arrivals had taken random vacant lower numbers.)

While completing a five-month tour with U.S. Army Japan (USARF), John Carkeet reunites with his good friend, Gary Sanford, in the heart of Tokyo May 22-23, 2015. The pair climbed Tokyo tower, explored the city streets, navigated the subways, shared sushi for breakfast and got acquainted with a couple Pandas.
Carkeet and Sanford first met in 2003 when both were students at the University of Florida. Sanford currently teaches students pursuing certifications in the power generation sector, while Carkeet provides public affairs and administrative support for USARJ's headquarters company.

Folklore has it that birds pair on St Valentine's day. Maybe this pair followed tradition 4 days before I saw them.
Katiebread and I had a dolly afternoon in Fredericksburg. It seemed the logical meeting point when one is coming from Northern Virginia and the other from Central Virginia (as proven by the number of battles in the area).

Finding Coyote was quite easy...finding them in close and paired was a little more difficult. Since the introduction of the Wolves in Yellowstone NP several years ago has caused the Coyote to range a bit closer to the roadways (it has been documented). This is good for the photographers but has changed the habits of this animal, often leading to foraging for handouts and roaming the roadside picnic tables for food.

These gentle giants are one of my favorite animals. Not part of the Big 5, but definitely impressive.
NGC 6939, open cluster and NGC 6946, galaxy.
This lovely pairing of a galaxy and open star cluster lie on the border between the constellations of Cepheus and Cygnus .
10 x 5 minute exposures and the corresponding dark frames and flat frames were shot in RAW and then used to make this image. They were all stacked together and saved as a 16 bit tif file. Final image adjustment was done with Photoshop.
Mist and fog were a constant problem whilst exposing but seem to have had little effect on the final result!
Camera: Canon 350D on a 109cm fl - f6 telescope with lots of other clever stuff and software.
