This pair followed me around my hike around Krossanesborgir, probably making sure I wouldn't find their nest.

Hanami Pair - Blossom Viewing

Aside from our blossom viewing lady. We had a con-goer in his men's kimono volunteer for the fashion show. He came already dressed, and we thought he'd make a perfect escort for our sakura maiden.

Designed by Don Petitt for Knoll in 1966, these side chairs are of beautiful continuous bent birch wood. The two front legs are of one piece that wraps around the top of the backrest. The two rear legs are one piece that rise, and fold down around the bottom of the backrest. The frame of the seat is made of two pieces, the joint of which is obscured behind the front legs.

These two chairs are dated August 31, 1978. They were originally used in the corporate office of the Playskool company. They both possess Knoll delivery labels, and one chair has it's original Knoll sticker label.

In very good vintage condition, with very minor indications of use to the upholstery. In one chair, there is some separation in the joint where the front and the back of the seat frame meet. This is not a structural problem, just a minor flaw.

When I first created the wedding swan, my intention was to only build the one. But the second thing she said to me after seeing it was "Can you build a second one?"

The Manhattan Hotel in Ringwood was again the setting for the annual American Muscle Car show put on by the good people of the 60s American Muscle Car Club and what a fantastic turn-out it was! More images of this show can be found on my blog site here: capricephotography.wordpress.com/

This was a distant, quick shot of this pair of beautiful Wood Ducks. Caught them just before they rounded a bend in the river and disappeared from sight. I had seen them swimming away from the river bank and thought they would be Mallards, so I got a pleasant surprise when I suddenly realized that these were the first Wood Ducks I'd really seen this year. Though the male is more colourful, I always think the female is an attractive bird, too. Taken yesterday, when I was walking along the Bow River at Carburn Park.

The Lilac-breasted Roller (Coracias caudatus) is a member of the roller family of birds. It is widely distributed in sub-Saharan Africa and the southern Arabian Peninsula, preferring open woodland and savanna; it is largely absent from treeless places. Usually found alone or in pairs, it perches conspicuously at the tops of trees, poles or other high vantage points from where it can spot insects, lizards, scorpions, snails, small birds and rodents moving about at ground level.

This pair of Killdeer were trying to hide...they sure blend in well with their surroundings.
