A pair of White Bengal tiger cubs resting in the grassy patch inside their enclosure. On a warm day, it was a pleasure watching them frolicking in the small water tank and chasing one another under the watchful gaze of Mama Tigress!

Lots of activity today, either spending their resting time on this perch or at the nest. This was taken late afternoon on a bright sunny day. My understanding is that the female is the larger, grouchy looking eagle in the back...
They look to be establishing a nest site or repairing/rebuilding an existing one. This is the 2nd time I've seen this pair at the same location. They were not too happy when a Red-tailed Hawk appeared and they chased it off.

Eggs are laid in late February early March.
Nest construction occurs 1 -3 months in advance.
A pair may have several nests which they often rotate.
Eggs are laid 3 days apart with an incubation period of 35 days.
Eagles fledge after 12 weeks(3 months).

Both Stu and Shizandra spend at least 3 times a day in the backyard. Stu is very dedicated to her and he exercises her faithfully! Both their names start with the letter S!
