This is something I haven't posted yet in my stores. It is a one of kind package. It contains a beautiful and heavy perfume bottle made of cut glass and gold metal with glass beads, and a beautifule red tassel to adorn it. It comes in an acrylic box with a 1/6 oz. real and natural perfume oil of choice (includes Jasmine grandiflorum, jasmine sambac, rose damascena, or vanilla) infused into jojoba and in its own fancy organza bag with pipette tool to place the perfume oil into the perfume bottle. The whole package comes in an organza tote bag.
So many awesome things in this package: squishy yarns (including my first Primo Fingering from The Plucky Knitter), scrumptious treats, homemade jam and pickling spice, coffee, an Orla Kiely bag and more! Thanks Rachel!
Also, I really miss the note functionality on Flickr.
Even products that are released in small batches can be packaged in good designed package, which is produced by using really high quality materials.

The packaging of this sliced meat looks like art in my view. The meat tastes very special It is made of the tenderloin of the Iberian pig, which had a diet based solely on natural feeds such as barley, wheat, corn and soy. It is seasoned with salt, authentic Spanish paprika and garlic before it is inserted into a natural casing, then cured in a controlled environment for several months. Mmm!

For all the packaging thumbnails (book & box) I am mainly just playing around with type placement and a few design element ideas. So I need help on choosing what sort of layout works best or would be most interesting. I do want to keep things clean and simple as far as type and layout, but when it comes to illustration, that's where I want the eye to go immediately. As far as illustrations, they aren't complete, but I have them going in a certain direction to best fit the logo and the plot of each book.

I decorated the lid of the box with a strip of the same patterned tissue paper to keep the packaging in the same theme. Finish with a rich brown satin ribbon.

Most people view a warehouse as a place to #store #supplies, raw #materials, and finished goods. Leading brands, however, understand that this place is much more than just a storage unit. Due to the limited space, high value, and higher costs, it is crucial to utilize warehouse real estate quite smartly. Therefore, companies have to consider the warehouse capacity and projected usage before deciding on the amount of packaging to order.
While comparing conventional printing with digital printing, it is necessary to understand the role of warehousing in the entire process. This understanding will help you understand the type of product you can store in the warehouse.
Storing flexo
In most cases, buyers have to purchase #packaging at the lowest per-unit price. That is why they consider warehousing as another department’s concern as they have to focus on per-unit price. This buying strategy could mean a higher minimum order quantity (MOQ) with conventional print methods. With high #MOQs, you can balance out many costs, including machine and tool setup. This method results in the price getting distributed over a high volume, meaning a lower per-unit price.
While trying to get the product at a lower per-unit price, it is quite essential to pay attention to warehouse storage. Lower per-unit costs are possible only when you buy large volumes, meaning that you will have to have a significant space inside the warehouse. It will allow you to maintain higher inventory levels. Unfortunately, not many buyers consider warehousing and #inventory #management during the process of price estimation and purchasing.
Another risk factor is usually present in form of shortened product lifecycles. It means having large volumes comes with a risk of obsolescence. Brands usually produce new products and move them into the market at a fast pace. In some cases, the packaging can become obsolete even before the product reaching store shelves.
One of the best solutions to deal with the #warehouse capacity issue is to lease additional space offsite. Nonetheless, you have to be careful with this approach as it can add costs significantly. Having multiple warehouses can also affect supply chain efficiency and may require additional labor.
Digitally printed packaging
Most brands preferred buying packaging at the lowest per-unit price in the past, even if it meant the inevitability to go for high MOQs. The latest digital print and finishing innovations have allowed buyers to go for a more responsive supply chain. It has helped them maximizing warehouse real estate significantly.
Since #digital print doesn’t require printing plates, it reduces or even eliminates costs related to initiation and setup. This advantage has resulted in a reduced per-unit cost of even low to medium-sized order volumes. This way, companies can order the exact amount of packaging instead of having to forecast an entire year.
Digital printing, due to its print-on-demand nature, allows brands to get just-in-time replenishments. This way, they can reduce the amount of packaging sitting in the warehouse for extended durations. It is necessary for brands to pursue these advantages to grow their businesses.

I came home from my morning saturday class to find this package at my doorstep. I had no idea what it was, or any hint of what Angel would be sending me. The second I opened it, I automatically burst into tears. Angel, one of the most amazing women in the world, put together a beautiful and brilliant care package for me. And doing this with a theme is asking a very important question! Every single item included in my package is something I would see in the store and fall in love with instantly. I love you, Angel. You are kind beyond words, and loving to the point of no comparison. And of course, the answer is YES! I would love to be your bridesmaid! A thousand times yes! I can't wait to help make your big day a perfect memory you will cherish for a lifetime! Let's get this party started!
Neat item from my collection! This is a mock-up Micronaut package from Palisades' Toy Fair display, during the first marketing for their second series of Micronaut repros.
This is a color laserprint of the basic package design with a vintage Galactic Defender's photo added to it, glued to black foam core, with a hand-cut bubble stapled to it. A hole has been roughly stabbed though at the end of the J-hook area, so it could hang on a peg in the Palisades display booth.
No product was available, so this is all they had to show!
Package mock-ups are rather common at Toy Fair. They make for very curious items.
