For this is a project I had to design graphics for an olive oil company based out of Georgia. My group had to develop the packaging and graphics. We selected a square glass bottle and I developed the graphics.
I used an oak tree (because its Georgia's state tree) that wraps around the bottle. The idea is to make it flow around the bottle. I used the company's logo and brand colors. The gray section is the front panel of the bottle.

I created a group of Characters for one purpose, but client decided to use them as symbols on their new kid's cosmetics line.
This is one style of packaging, hanging blister card.
The main purpose of packaging has always been to make the #product secure when it is being shipped. But the scenario is not the same now. Packaging, now, is also meant to provide a marketing benefit by promoting your brand. In the end, you will be able to increase your sales.
When we talk about packaging of the items which need to be #shipped, security is the first point of concern. For this purpose, you can use corrugated packaging which is capable of providing amazing shock resistance. And there are certainly some ways corrugated packaging can help in increasing your sales. Some of those ways are worth mentioning in this regard.
Corrugated packaging supports preservation
In most of the cases, the main purpose of packaging is to ensure better preservation of the items which are being packaged. This week I received a lot of packages. Most of them were either textbooks or something school related. I really like getting things in the mail. Theres a little excitement you get when you see the thing you just bought and you get to open the packaging, even if it is just a textbook. Plus there's those few days of waiting to see when your package comes, adding to the excitement. Getting packages is not a huge part of my life by any means, but I find it important. It can be that small thing that can change a day.
I found out that my school offered Adobe Lightroom 4 for free, so today was my first day playing with it again. I haven't used Lightroom in a few years, and I wish I had some more time to relearn everything today, but I will have to save that for later.
