We took a road trip down to the Outer Banks in North Carolina for vacation. I made some random stops on the way down to make photographs of abandoned buildings and things being reclaimed by nature, as well as various images taken during our vacation.

Loc Outer Harbour, Great Yarmouth

The new Outer Harbour is coming along pretty well. This is all the land that has been reclaimed, previously the sea used to lap up against the railings you can see at high tide. Still nowhere near finished though. Alot of concrete to be poured I'd have thought.

yea, space was pretty cool.

It was my first mission, so I guess that one is always the most fun.

Just visible beyong the pier is the rock wall being gradually extended into the sea, to form the northern boundary of the Outer Harbour. This is looking north from Gorleston Pier. Dump trucks trundle out to add granite boulders to the wall.
