An imaginary outer space village to be
inhabited by humans seeking refuge from the polluted Earth. They
include the effects of totalitarianism, surveillance, quarantine and isolation, and environmental issues of pollution. The work satirically draws
attention to the waste generated everyday by the seemingly ... benign act of consuming a beverage. Lights will
illuminate the sea of cans, which may be accompanied by video commenting on
conspicuous consumption.
A magnificent vista of both the West and North Face of Mt. Kailash
Mt. Kailash is the holiest mountain to Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon people. It is located in remote Western Tibet. I have been fortunate enough to visit this mystical place in 2010 and 2011.
These photos are from September 2011, on my second kora (circumambulation) around the mountain - this route takes 3 days for most foreigners, and passes truly awe-inspiring scenery.
These particular photos were taken during the September full moon; it is said that koras during full moons are equal to 12 times around the mountain.
Mt. Kailash, Western Tibet

I am looking for people who want to take the inner and outer journey to this sacred place; please contact me if you are interested.
A holiday added onto the end of a work visit allowed us to visit Callanais Stones, Arnol Blackhouses and Gearannan Blackhouse Village. Returning on the ferry from Tarbert also gave us chance to visit the Isle of Harris Distillery - quite impressive all round trip!
