Part of a road trip from Niagara Falls to Key West - taking the long route close to the Atlantic, so here passing through the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

This is part of an ancient ritual called "Pwo", were people become initiated to become eventual master navigators. Here women are prepairing a traditional earth oven to cook taro.

Dactylorhiza x mixtum (Dactylorhiza fuchsii ssp. hebridensis x viridis). The hybrid between the Hebridean Common Spotted & Frog Orchid on the macho air of the Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Now in full flower.

Chillin out on the front porch of some museum exhibit
