The Outrider, Inspired by the Shadows of the Empire comics.

This vehicle was in my head for a very long time, and it was time for a MOC of this model.

In the end it took me more than a year on and off building before completing it.

Actual building time around 20 hours or so. The variety on source material made it a bit difficult to grasp the "real" version. The good part of this is that this gave me the oppurtunity to freestyle a bit here and there. Hope you like it!

To be honest, the photo's don't really do the model justice, need to work on my photography skills :/

Another amazing custom set of armor from Hazel! All I can say is that these pieces are too much fun to paint! And for anyone out there who is a little hesitant, I assure you, atteempting to paint these extremely detailed pieces can only help to gain more skill! The armor is perfectly accurate as well as the backpack. The arms still move with the armor on even if you put BF vambraces on them as seen in my photos. The helmet speaks for itself and fits on perfectly and is very easy to get off. Not to mention the fact that Hazel has given everyone the oppurtunity to either leave the visor trans yellow, or paint it yourself. Great idea, and only extends the boundries of what these pieces can be used for. A must buy for any Hazel, Halo or custom lego fan for that matter! Keep an eye out for Pedro's post of when these become available in the coming days from his Bricklink store United Armory. Thanks Hazel, keep the awesome stuff coming!

Pictured is a still from a video I just caught at Willington Station in South Derbyshire on 26/02/20, of DRS/BR Large Logo livery 37403 propelling Network Rail Inspection Saloon 975025 'Caroline' on the 5Z02 (TBC but an eductated guess) Tamworth High Level to Derby RTC finale of its tour around the Midlands in the last few days. The train stopped at Willington to allow a staff member to alight as she lived in the village...allowing a golden window of oppurtunity, as the train was stopped when I pulled up and duly departed as I ran under the underpass!

In all the comotion of doing my exam, the flickrmeet and me playing with an iPad that isn’t kmine I completly neglected to show you my publication in Fonk magazine. My “Kabuki Scream” right on the frontpage and 4 pages of exposure of little old me ;-) So proud and so glad I got that oppurtunity. I wouldn’t mind getting more exposure ;-)

A few weeks ago national monuments were opened to the public. Since I live closeby to the Van Nelle factory, I thought that it would be a great oppurtunity to finally see this place. Unfortunately the terrain was way too crowdy for what I had in mind and the weather was pretty gray. The latter did not make the editing any easier. It feels like I didn't get the white balance right in any of my shots (more can be found on my website by clicking the link below).

Now this may not seem like a difficult shot , but this one, i guess was one of the hardest shots i took in 2006, the backlight was enormous, you know those after summer, low standing bright sunlight. It took me about 12 pictures to get this one right, with the mirror in the pool of water and the door opening not over exposed, i had to go as fast as 1/4000 ISO 100, f16 to really tighten the exposure. To get an idea of how this was like, i uploaded another image where you can see the image if it was just 0 EV and how much backlight there really was here. Imho this one really shows the power of HDR.

Shot at an abandoned part of Cockeril Sambre in Liege, one of the biggest iron industry plants.

BTW: CHEERS, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FLICKR FRIENDS!

2006 was an extremely succesfull year, i saw amazing things from oilplatforms to underground caves, castles to office buildings, and had great oppurtunities to shoot my stuff. I hope 2007 will be as good or even better for all of us!

Had a slightly different idea for this shot but i had just gotten off work and didn't want to go to a sketchy ass alley at 1am in the morning with all my gear. So in keeping with murder/jason theme for today my little brother jumped at the oppurtunity to " "stab" me. This shot is straight out of camera besides some post process in lightroom, it was done all in one shot no compositing done.

Not gonna lie, this is really just an excuse to use this picture I took...a while ago, and never got to use. Welp, I've found a use. It's also a nice oppurtunity to do a proper bio of my version of the Doctor, as I never quite got round to it.

This is the kinda thing I'm looking for in an entry. Of course, you could trade in the companions for a couple of villains. Or make a Tardis console room and put your Doctor in that. Right, I'm babbling, so I'll skip to the description.

So, this Doctor, the one in my series, has just come out of the Time war. He is approximately 900-ish years old and is in his 9th incarnation. since regenerating, he has a new lease on life, even if he is plagued by the demons of the time war. They will fade, hopefully. He's a fairly cheerful chap, always with a smile on his face. Unless someone threatens those he cares about. Then his smile turns to a frown, and his eyes burn with the fury of a thousand suns. In the time war he saw many die. Friends, family, innocent bystanders. But no more. e will never let anyone close to him get hurt ever again.

So, that's that. Have fun coming up with your entries, I can't wait to see them :D

Pole Dancer: Megumi Yuzuki / 柚月恵

Couple of months ago I had this assignment to take some profile photos of a pole dancer, this was the first time for me to shoot someone doing this type of dance, and we did some very interesting stuff together. Her name is Megumi Yuzuki / 柚月恵, and she is one of the best pole dancers in Japan, she is very professional and also very easy to work with. We have also done some other shoots after this one, but the result from them I will upload later! In this article I will explain the strobist setup of the edgy lighting I've been using for her, and you can see some of the photos below!

Here is the whole article about the shoot on my Website! Check it out! Here I will mention just a little about it. In this shoot after a talk with my model, trying to analyze her I decided to go with some edgy lighting, thus putting some emphasize on her beautiful body lines. So I decided to use my strip lights from both sides diagonally and shoot without any light from the front side. I think this really created some images that show in a really good way her body structure. Then after some shots with only the strip lights, I thought to put some life into the background, so here came the flash gels, on this shoot I used blue and purple, as you will see on the shots I've uploaded down in the article! And after setting that, it was just about to shoot, she was now posing that much as she was just doing it the way when she is dancing, so I didn't have to tell her a lot what to do!

So, what is actually the pole dance? Well, maybe from the influence of the Hollywood movies, but the pole dance still has the reputation of strippers in the night club. Actually it is getting popular as an excercise and something to learn, also it is gving you the oppurtunity to practice and enjoy spins, acrobatics, floor movement and others tricky things! She is teaching students from 16 to 60 years of age, so you can do pole dance no matter what age you are, and no matter what job you are doing! Megumi is organizing a party called PDN. It has a different theme every time, for example doing collaboration with salsa and samba dancers, capoeira, or even jazz and and other types of live music combined with pole dancing to create an interesting show, and deliver their concept. Approximately 20 dancers perform on each show, and they dance until late in the night. Pole dance is a way for every woman to polish herself as a beautiful woman in a healthy way. You don't need to look like a celebrity or have amazing acrobat skills of an olympic player to do pole dance, it can be practiced by everyone no matter of social status and age!

では、ちょっと日本語で説明も入れますね!

Just a little MOC I threw together to showcase Brick Afflictions line of "Coalition" products all of which will soon be available. The Silverback design is by Legohaulic and then converted by myself with a little Pecovam style. -And yes Tyler, I still have the original model on my shelf:-), this is one I built with the instructions.

-Yes I did cut, paint, mod, glue, and make blood effects on my COG Silverback. Custom LEGO is about artistic development not leaving closed doors of oppurtunities to make things look the way we like them too. I hope you enjoy the photo.

Hi guys !

I've uploaded all these 4 images in bulk as I got them all in one day, a busy one at that.

Next week I will be displaying some of my work for young kids as they wander around our sports hall with the interest of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. They will have to match up the photo to the insect infront of them, so it should be a lot of fun, and hence the many images I've uploaded all at once.

On a quick trip to some woodland by our university, I looked under some old rotten wood and stones finding Beetles, spiders, Larvae and some woodlice !

It gave for a great oppurtunity for some early Spring photographing and the quality with the £30 objective I have retained for all 4 specimens !

Got my Nikon M plan 5x ordered so should be here soon for even sharper images !

hola!

16.48: 2733 on the local train from Luchtbal.

Only a couple of passenger trains each day go around the curve to and from Luchtbal (rush hour specials).

This was the only oppurtunity for a passenger train on what is normally the freight lines.

Long since changed over to EMU stock, this loco service is now history.

2733 is still going strong in 2020 when I loaded this photo - but both the HLE 21s & 27s are due for withdrawal in 2023 and are not being fitted with ECTS.

New Year's day. Rapsani.

Have not have an oppurtunity to get out with the camera for a while, just shot this out my window for something to post.

Dark overcast skies so it's a little grainy.

Good news is that this Friday i am heading to Crater Lake for a full day of shooting with some stops for waterfall shots also.

Start looking for the pic's on Saturday, that way i can give you all a rest from my hummer shots.

The blue Nova which is for sale at a used car showroom.

'Overall very good condition apart from a bit of corrosion on the rear arches' I would call that more than just a bit... The car in my opinion is in ok condition and I would have bought it from the owner if the oppurtunity arisen. I can see this car sitting for quite some time as at £1795 its well overpriced.

I LIKE Neil Etasse's Model A coupe, and those arches finally became available in brown, so it seemed like the perfect oppurtunity to build a bitchin car.

Found this guy at 1:30P in my parent's backyard. What a treat, only my second time seeing one and my first oppurtunity to get a photograph

When I was in Harz, Germany I found a couple of these butterflies which was a first time for me. Not really spectacular or rare species but they have such a nice brown/white pattern, just had to have a nice capture of them. The weather wasn't great all the time so on the first oppurtunity with some decent light I went out.

Never noticed a butterfly turning his head, this one did and faced the camera several times.

This is Alex! I was fortunate enough to meet her and her brother Christian in New York a couple of weeks ago, and I am so glad I did. I have admired both of the Benetels for such a long time and the oppurtunity to meet them and shoot with them was an incredible experience. I really hope I get to see my Australian friends again soon, but until then I am glad just to say that I'm friends with two such talented photographers :)

It is never easy to grab a photo of North Yorkshire Police's traffic cars...... But every now and then an oppurtunity appears and has to be grabbed...... especially when one is parked on your workplace doorstep...... LOL

Along with a number of BMW traffic cars.... North Yorkshire also have a small number of Audi's such as this one. They also have some saloon versions but I believe they are used on ANPR work. YJ10HTD is an Audi A4 Avant Se Tdi Quattro Estate, and is seen attending a 999 call in Harrogate Town Centre

She is a stunner.....

A friend came over and took us her garden in the forest. There was lots of oppurtunity to play with my new camera!

The kitlens is quite OK. Even though it's only 18-55mm

I did almost drop my iphone in the water while bending over to make this picture

Well... They say god resides in magnificient homes. So they built amazing temples, gorgeous churches, fascinating synagogues, inspiring mosques...all over the world. But are we not a bit stupid to think that God is too big to fit into one temple....or rather even one religion.

We search for god in all of these places.

Yet we find no peace in our hearts. Maybe its time to start searching elsewhere. In everyday life.

God may appear in front of us. But we don't seem to see it, because we are looking elsewhere. If only we took some time to appreciate moments where God presents itself... Life would be different.

I saw this reflection in the street in Salzburg, outside the Demel Cafe. The rain had left a puddle of water, and the stunning St. Rupert's Cathedral was reflected in it. This reflection brought me so much joy, that I hardly felt the need to go inside the actual cathedral.

Our life presents myriad oppurtunities to realzie godliness. Do we take the time to soak it in? Take a moment to reflect about this.

Photographed with Fujifilm Finepix F10, Point and Shoot Camera.

Once again a testament that we don't need great cameras or great locations to make nice photos.

This first trip to Glacier NP was in late summer of 2015, when the whole state of Montana was on fire. Luckily it was a trip for visiting, and not for photos. Otherwise it would have been pretty disappointing. The smoke was so thick, you couldn't see anything. But, it did add a different feel to things, and forced you to notice the smaller details, rather than the bigger picture. But I'm more than ready to go back now, and check out the bigger picture! Lol

We drove through the night, and got to Flathead Lake just as the sun was coming up. Other than the morning we left, this was about the only time we actually got to see the sky. These aren't the best, most photogenic shots. But there were a few great oppurtunities, so these are the highlights.

“Sometimes oppurtunities float right past your nose. Work hard, apply yourself, and be ready. When an opportunity comes you can grab it.”

- Julie Andrews

A friend of mine gave me similar advice not too long ago and since then i've tried hard to apply myself. Some days are better than others but in these times finding steady work is not proving easy and you feel your self worth take many a knock back.

Still who can stay down for long when we are having such gorgeous sunny and balmy days : )

Ps. The balloon isn't photoshoped in :p

Personally, I prefer spotting next to the runway, because of the action and better angles for photography.

But sometimes I choose the photo oppurtunity on the Schiphol Airport viewing terrace; just for the fun and the diverent angles at the same spot.

Take-off/ landing/ rolling aircraft and all the action to get the plane back in the air, asap..

Unfortunately the heat/ APU-distortion is quite irritating, especially on cold days, but all-in-all you are able to take some nice actionshots from above, on the terrace.

Image is taken after the sun had set....been awhile I had an oppurtunity to work something out at night.

Just love the reflected smoke from the distance factory....

Today saw the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society's Easter running day - these days known as the Lincoln Transport Festival, encompassing heritage vehicles of all kinds.

I was proud be given the oppurtunity to take along one of our ex-Dubin Bus Volvo B7TL/Alexander ALX400's - a vehicle type which I'd asked for because it's something a little different. Neither of our two are DDA compliant, and so cannot be used on service work - and therefore aren't vehicles you can really ever get a chance to ride on... unless you happen to be a school child either on a school trip, or off to have swimming lessons; or are lucky enough to be a member of a party travelling as part of a private hire!

I took along DD99, which was formerly AV103 in Dublin Bus' fleet, new to the company in 2000, and originally registered 00-D-70103. It's seen here outside the old Barbican Hotel on St. Mary's Street, Lincoln, whilst working the 1230 journey from the Transport Museum - and is about to head back there.

A special effort was made by me to get the displays all programmed up for the day, and I'll hopefully be re-doing the full set of normal displays over the next couple of weeks.

Terracina, Italy. Not a good day for swimming and getting a tan, but easily an oppurtunity for different beach motives.

Oh, and the weather got better. ;-)

Having the oppurtunity to do a Ninjago MOC, I had to include a dragon. This is similar to the Wu dragon, but with some blue accents to give it an elemental feel.

that angle was just too good of an oppurtunity to pass.

The weather was not cooperative on this Tuesday evening and Cruise Night was canceled. None the less, a couple of people went ahead and showed up and took advantage of the oppurtunity to eat at a local restaurant.

This rusty 1934 Ford had an attractive and strangely gallant appearance as the light rain fell upon her skin that had seen many sunny days as well as many rainy days over the course of several decades.

Take a closer look...

Good morning all!

Last sunday I was up early, to capture sunrise in the polders. This resulted in many great shots. My previous upload is a good example of it. After I had enough of shooting landscapes, I decided to plug in the Sigma 150-500 for some bird photography and hiked on the North bank along the small river for about 4 kilometers, and during that part of the hike I had the sun straigt in front me the whole time.

Actualyl I didn't care at all, the backlight gave some great oppurtunities to photograph some birds in the reed in silhouet. The morning light was really beautiful because of the mist...

I wish you all a great weekend!

yesterday i had the oppurtunity to meet up with an old friend and try some portrait stuff with a model other than me. i had alot of fun and hope to be able to so this more often

The vehicle will transport the European Rugby Challenge Cup and European Rugby Continental Shield, staff, volunteers and the Newcastle Falcon’s official mascot Stephen the Seahorse to events between Friday 22 March and 14 April 2019.

Full moon taken a couple of hours before the eclipse. Thought I would have a practice run first :o)

Taken using two 2x telephoto converters on the 100-400 lens. No IS used.

edit: No luck with the eclipse....no red glow, and a touch of high level mist made for a disappointing phto oppurtunity :o(

Sunrise shot of Paterson, NJ as seen from the Garret Mountain view. I waited until the sun was high enough in the sky in order to catch the buildings soaked in the morning sun.

I've been a bit busy lately because I've been get everything ready for my first gallery showing on January 21st. I'm definately excited about the oppurtunity, wish me luck!

CEFX SD60 6014, very obviously a former SOO Line unit sits in the yard at JBS in Altoona. This was one of the units that came into town on NS 995 earlier in the afternoon, which I was unable to get a shot of, so the redemption oppurtunity was solid. October 22, 2017.

A prime oppurtunity shot of these three hansom fellows in lambing season 2011

For ages now, on my way to work, I've looked at the redundant gasometer and thought I should really take some pictures of it before it's demolished. Like the Nestles chimney, its one of those Salisbury landmarks from my childhood, that's going to disappear soon. My evening trip to Waitrose to take pictures of the Baron, gave me the oppurtunity to take some pictures.

Despite the awful weather i just couldnt pass the oppurtunity to snap this fine set heading back t'north! Massive thanks to the driver for the tones!
