On average, 16-28 year old Japanese person spends 7 hours a day staring at his/her phone or tablet. It's so intense that they rarely see the outside world from the gaming and texting. This has proved to be a good oppurtunity for the perverts who take photographs under teenagers skirts. Actually, the fine for this act was just raised from 500 000 yen to one million, or a year in jail. Yes it a problem. Only in Japan.
I actually took this shot a couple of weeks back but used a different one for the week, I just didn;t get the oppurtunity to get out today as I had hoped, This shot isn;t to far off of what I would have found today after another good dump of spring snow. We had at least 6-7" of that nice wet white stuff, with supposedly more coming on Sunday.
Should add that the sun was just finishing up burning off the fog when I took this shot,
HFF everyone

I have been wanting to play around with combined different different nature concepts together for awhile. It's something I definitely want to explore more and more with in my post processing and something I have some ideas around.
I shot this image on a sort of whim. Another thing I want to work on developing. Previously, I found myself being lost when I was traveling and would explore different locations to shoot new concepts at and it was always frustrating not being able to come up with a concept on the spot to shoot. I want to be able to create and create as much as I can especially when I find a surprise oppurtunity too.
It's always a growing and learning expierience being an artist which an amazing thing. You can always keep exceling and exploring.

Is on the first day of Spring.
Yay! It's finally Spring. My favorite time of year.
Cheero recently came out with the Revoltech Cheero Danboard and I had the great oppurtunity to photograph it. I love the details they put on the Revoltech Danbo to match their Cheero Danboard battery.

Went for a drive to beachy Head so got out my camera for a photo oppurtunity.
The clouds looked fantastic and were moving slowly so got out my B+W ND110 filter for a lengthy exposure to blur them.
This is an exposure of 80 seconds which gave the clouds a nice effect.
i decided to leave this one in colour and boost the saturation as the blues and greens looked really good.

Thank You for all your Favs, views and comments.
I kind of found this theme hard since there was not much oppurtunity for modeling. I also wanted Mariposa to stand out and not blend in with the rest. I hope this works! I also gave her naturalish make-up to make it feel more like a slumber party :)
I shot this out on a whim yesterday. My intention was to just go out and get shots of the clouds that were forming for stock and because of how awesome they looked. I ended up creating this concept after seeing awesome the light was out on location after arriving there.
I have been trying to practice coming up with a new concept on the spot so when situations like this arrive I can sucessfully create a new image. It's been difficult in the past to do this when you have a sprung up oppurtunity to shoot but I think being able to create this image and do it sucessfully was a good start to be able to start putting that into motion.

Well hello Flikr, its been a while!
I am really not sure why I have stopped posting here. Maybe there is a limit to the amount of social media one can curate!
Well I have some time so thought lets post one of my weekend images on here and see if you all still remember me!
A double visit over the last twelve hours to this hill in Wiltshire which involved two steep climbs in less than twelve hours with four hours of sleep in between! The weather had forecast light winds, no rain and a decent chance for a sunset. What we got though was strong winds, horizontal rain and no sunset! Good ole British weather! As predicatable as Donald Trumps brain!
But with bad weather comes good photographic oppurtunities and this spectacular rainbow combined with some late evening light made for one of my favourite images of the year.
well worth a soggy bag and no sleep!
The Eurasian Jay is a very beautiful but also very shy bird.
And it's a very clever bird. I was hiding some nuts for the Squirrels in the tree trunk.
They soon discovered this and came in to grab their share.
That gave oppurtunities for some flight shots.
From a hide, on base tripod with gimbal head.
Have been away working a lot recently and my mother has been really poorly
not had much time for flickr
I would like to take the oppurtunity to wish all my friends and contacts a very merry and happy Christmas and a peaceful healthy prosperous new year
take care of you and yours everyone
catch up with you all in the next few days
Okay, I will admit my get up and go in regards to photography appears to have gone on hiatus recently. Apart from a couple of local misty woodland visits I have not had the urge to get out with the cameras at all. I guess as part of the creative process this is something everyone goes through from time to time, peaks and troughs of enthusiasm. As a landscape photographer that focusses mainly on woodlands its a bit of a funny time of year while the anticipation for the autumn (that’s Fall for you Americans) and the spectacular colours it brings is tempered by the still mostly summer greens that are currently about in my local patches. Also the weather here has been pretty trash-although thats just a poor excuse really as weather is a key ingredient in landscape photography-and my depression hasn’t been helping either. But, BUT, I had an oppurtunity on the weekend to maybe reignite the excitement thats been lacking recently. During my customary “drive home from work on a Saturday chat” to Dave he mentioned that his sunset/sunrise predicter app was saying there was a 78% chance of a rocking sunrise on Sunday morning. My weather apps were also hinting strongly that this was the case with little low cloud and lots of medium ond high cloud forecast. Now, being a woodland photographer sunrises are not really in my boathouse but as I also love coastal photography I decided to pick a spot on the south coast to photograph and I settled on the Cobb harbour wall at Lyme Regis ,ahem, just under an hours drive from my home.
I crawled out of bed just after 4am on Sunday, plenty of time to get the life juice that is coffee down my neck and engage my brain, which nowadays seems to take forever to catch up with the body! I made sure all batteries were charged, SD cards were in camera and shoes were on the correct feet. I left the house with the plan to get to the cobb about 30 minurtes before sunrise (6.40am). I loaded up the car, checked the sat nav and it said it would take an hour and sixteen minutes to get to my destination and I had factored for just under an hour! DOH! Now, what i’m about to tell you I do NOT condone you do ok? I was ready to give it up and find somewhere more local but the stubborn side of my brain tapped me on the shoulder and quietly whispered in my ear “You can make that time up” followed by a conspiratorial wink and a little tap on the nose with a forefinger. So, harnessing my inner Colin Mcrae and praying to whatever deities were up at this time of the morning that I didn’t hit a deer, I sped off, pulling a rather cool drift out of the car park (in my head) and set the engine to warp factor 1.5.
Well, I made it in just under an hour and Mcrae would have been proud of my car control skills. I have to say the I don’t drive my cars hard but the Puma handled the country roads admirably and with full confidence. With a bit of a jog from the car I was on the cobb for 6.40am just as the light show of the morning sunrise started to kick off.
I had the gap on the horizon and some lovely clouds scudding by at pace!
As you can see from the image above there was a bit of a chop on the sea and a pretty hefty breeze too. I was constantly having to wipe my lens clean as spray kept…spraying over the camera and the odd gust was rocking me on my feet so kept one foot firmly pressed up against one of my tripod feet to prevent it disappearing over the edge. Its a shame I didnt apply the same care to my Nisi ten stop filter! I decided to try a long exposure image and as I attempted to put the filter on the end of my lens I dropped it! As this was me it didnt just drop onto the floor at my feet but landed edge on, proceeded to roll UP the sloping top of the cobb and threw itself over the edge to land on the stone flagons of the lower part of the Cobb 15 ft below. I was convinced it was smashed to bits or at the very least badly scratched. I headed for the “steps” (a set of stones that stick out about a foot from the wall), gingerly made my way down them, looking for all the world like some kind of giant baby making its first attempt to tackle stairs! To my surprise and Nisi’s credit though the filter was completely undamaged! They certainly build them tough! I then renegotiated the steps back to my camera and tripod which I had laid flat in case a gust of wind took it the same route as the filter and hastily recomposed to continue shooting. And boy it all worked out fantastic in the end.
It was without doubt one of the best sunrises I have seen. Well, technically it wasn’t actually a sunrise but the predawn glow. About thrity seconds after I got this image the colour was gone and it turned into a flat grey sky. It just goes to show how fleeting these scenes can be sometimes.
I hung around on the Cobb for another ten minutes to see if any colour would return but that was it sadly. Still, I was happy and had a wander up and down the beach for an hour before heading home, slowly, a happy bunny and with a large chunk of my mojo restored!
The Outrider, Inspired by the Shadows of the Empire comics.
This vehicle was in my head for a very long time, and it was time for a MOC of this model.
In the end it took me more than a year on and off building before completing it.
Actual building time around 20 hours or so. The variety on source material made it a bit difficult to grasp the "real" version. The good part of this is that this gave me the oppurtunity to freestyle a bit here and there. Hope you like it!
To be honest, the photo's don't really do the model justice, need to work on my photography skills :/

HBW everyone! I'm not gonna lie..i'm pooped. This is just a little diddy i put together while taking a break from editing client photos...Hope everyone is well. I'll write more of a description when my eyes aren't burning due to lack of sleep!! Night everyone!
Edit: So..i just got this hella rad news! I'm going to be shooting this awesome band Sally Jayne on the 20th! I've been in talks with Marc the lead guy and we are both very pumped about this oppurtunity! These photos are going to be used for their promtional stuff and for their tour next spring! To say the least, I am excited! YAY! WOOT!
So..i have some ideas for shoots and such..anyone wanna throw some more my way????
Autumn is looking like its going to peak a wekk or so earlier for me this year typically. The last two years I booked a week off at the beginning of November and was too early. This year i booked the last week of November off and its going to be too late lol. You cant make it up...
Still, if the storms ease off I have a chance of getting some good colours still andphotography would be boring if it was easy, right?
In other news, I am off to London this weekend for the British Photography Awards ceremony as I was shortlisted in the landscape category this year. I really do not think I am winning it as some of the other images in my shortlist are pretty wild, but it will still be a great experience and a good oppurtunity to network with others passionate about this hobby of ours.
I did manage to get out this morning and headed over to Stourhead, where the colours are just stunning at the moment. The lakes was still and the reflections were looking stunning when i arrived but.........somehow i managed to leave all three of my camera batteries at home! DOH!! Still,I had my drone so sent that up instead and got some lovely images from above including one that I am quite excited to share.
Anyways, enough of my ramblings for another week or so. Adios!
They had a feature on the news yesterday in which they showed us how to freeze a soap bubble. I thought it would be fun to try and get a picture of one. Yesterday was prohibitively cold, but this afternoon it got up to a balmy 10 F with minimal wind chill, so I decided to give it a try. It took several attempts, but I finally caught a bubble and kept it on the ring long enough for it to freeze before it could break. There was a little bit of a wind so that made it
challenging. It froze in only about a minute. I was hoping for a spectacular macro of the ice crystals, but it was hard to focus. I didn’t have a lot of oppurtunities for repeated shots as the wind picked up and blew it apart, and this is the result. It was very fragile. It was fascinating to watch it freeze. It would have been nice to have an assistant so that I could take pictures of it while it was freezing. A picture of the unbroken soap bubble is in the comments.

Overcast evening at Painted Hills, OR. This group of hills doesn't get much attention from most visitors since this is a couple of miles drive further than the main and more attractive painted hills. But this gives me oppurtunity to present painted hills in a different angle.
I put a note on this last September with my details on I was would really like to buy it if the oppurtunity arose. 2 hours after the owner called me to thank me for the note and that when the time comes to sell the car I would have first refusal.
I have been checking the MOT status of this because I knew it was due in March and I kept wondering would that be the time when the owner would contact me? I checked the MOT site today and noticed that it failed on corrosion to the rear suspension mounts today, 20 minutes after me finding that out the owner called me! He said sadly it has failed its MOT and he has another car now so he thinks its time to sell so if I was still interested to come and view so I went this evening, it really is a cracking little car and it has been in the owners family from new, over the past few years he has aquired a few spares for it as he knew in time they would become hard to get ahold of! It does need some money spending on it and a lot of hours put in polishing that paintwork and tidying the car but I can see the potential so we agreed on a price and a deal was made.
As soon as that red Fiesta has sold I can go and collect it and let the work commence, I cannot wait.
We hiked up a mountain, just behind me, because we thought to get a great view of the castle from above. Unfortunately we took a wrong turn and the hiking path ended after about 2 hours without even one oppurtunity to photograph the castle - the trees were blocking the view...
Info
Hochosterwitz Castle (German: Burg Hochosterwitz, Slovene: Grad Ostrovica) is considered to be one of Austria's most impressive medieval castles. It is situated on a 160 metres (520 ft) Dolomite rock near Sankt Georgen am Längsee, east of the town of Sankt Veit an der Glan in the state of Carinthia. The castle is one of the state's landmarks and can be seen from about 30 km (19 mi) away on a clear day.
The site was first mentioned in in a 860 deed issued by King Louis the German of East Francia, donating several of his properties in the former Principality of Carantania to the Archdiocese of Salzburg. It was then named as ‘Astarwiza’, its name being of Slavic origin. In the 11th century Archbishop Gebhard of Salzburg ceded the castle to the Dukes of Carinthia from the noble House of Sponheim in return for their support during the Investiture Controversy. The Sponheim dukes bestowed the fiefdom upon the family of Osterwitz, who held the hereditary office of the cup-bearer in 1209.
In his book Change the Austro-American psychologist Paul Watzlawick renders a popular tale of the siege of the castle by the troops of Margarete Maultasch ("Mouth Bag"), Countess of Tyrol from 1335 to 1363. According to legend first noted by the medieval chronicler Jakob Unrest and later by Jacob Grimm, Margarete, cheated by the House of Habsburg of her inheritance claims to Carinthia, invaded the duchy; her forces were however deceived and withdrew when the garrison of Hochosterwitz slaughtered its very last ox, filled it with corn and threw it over the wall, pretending it still had so many provisions in stock that they could be used as projectiles.
In the 15th century, the last Carinthian cup-bearer, Georg of Osterwitz was captured in a Turkish invasion and died in 1476 in prison without leaving descendants. Hans, cup-bearer of Osterwitz was the last remaining survivor of the family. He had a substantial debt owing to the Emperor and was forced to give up the deeds of the castle to pay his debt.[3] So after four centuries, on 30 May 1478, the possession of the castle reverted to Emperor Frederick III of Habsburg.
Over the next thirty years the castle was badly damaged by numerous Turkish campaigns. On 5 October 1509, Emperor Maximilian I handed the castle as a pledge to Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg, then Bishop of Gurk. Bishop Lang undertook a substantial renovation project for the damaged castle.
About 1541 German king Ferdinand I of Habsburg bestowed Hochosterwitz upon the Carinthian governor Christof Khevenhüller. In 1571, Baron George Khevenhüller acquired the citadel by purchase. He fortified to deal with the threat of Turkish invasions of the region, building an armoury and 14 gates from 1570-1586. Such massive fortification is considered unique in citadel construction. Because of the 14 gates, each equipped with different treacherous methods of guarding the path, local legend maintains that the castle has never been conquered and that any of the attacks managed to get beyond the fourth (Engelstor) gate.
i was taking pictures of the sunset when a family coming nearby ...and the father was playing with his son ...and i know i just cannot lose this oppurtunity away ..the moment was perfect ..the silhouette , the sunset , the colours ...for me the love of the father to his son strengthen this moment ....

Got the oppurtunity to photograph this beauty today... Thank you Ashayana for the oppurtunity to capture you
Visited Mats vd Brand and couldn't miss the oppurtunity to shoot the 1:11 Lego M3 with its 1:1 counterpart.
Das historische Rathaus in Wernigerode mit seinem unvergleichlichen Baustil.
Ich hatte leider nur diesen eine Abend und ein paar Zelte und ein Auto standen im Weg, dennoch auf jeden Fall ein Bild wert.
The historical town hall of Wernigerode, a absolute unique building. Unfortunately there were some tents and a car infront of the building and this evening was the only oppurtunity, but still worth it to take a picture.

I've always admired everybody else's picture like this one and i wanted to have one badly, so i used the oppurtunity i had on this one sunny Sunday. Unfortunately my "better" tripod which i bought a month ago broke, so i had to use my old clumpy one, but luckily it stood firmly.
Your personal and constructive Comments and Critics are always welcome and well appreciated. Thank you very much for dropping by and leaving a comment or fave. My apologies if i can’t visit your stream right away, but i’ll definitely drop by, as fast as i can.

As with a lot of photos that I take while riding my motorcycle ... I usually see an oppurtunity and have to turn around to go scope out the shot...this is an old ranch with about 250 cows...so when i got off my bike in my motorcycle suit,black...and started walking to the fence line, i started a stampede..lol... i would have been scared too.Thought I would miss the shot cause the cows were going to ruin the scene....lucked out! most ranches have more money into the barn than their homes....
Digging into the archives as i havent clicked any pics since my trip to Aspen. This was taken this year during annual Tribute to light on 9/11. I was looking for good vantage point after taking pics on brooklyn bridge with the lights and there i saw this couple. While everybody else there was in awe of the lights, these two were just in awe of each other. I am usually shit scared of taking candid photographs of strangers, but which photographer would want to miss such an oppurtunity to capture a beautiful moment. So i place my tripod in front of them and quickly took some shots and moved ahead to click some more pics of the lights.
Never lose an oppurtunity of seeing anything that is beautiful.....
Welcome it

The Speckled Hawk-owl, also called the Oriental Hawk owl (Ninox punctulata) is a small owl at 20-17 cm. It is a reddish brown hawk owl with a white-spotted head, back and wings, a white throat patch, black facial disk, and white eyebrows.
This owl is found mainly in Indonesia and lives mainly in forests near streams, open woodland, and cultivated regions with scattered trees. It is mainly found below 1100 meters, but is occasionally seen at up to 2300 meters above sea level. It is fairly common throughout its range.
Note: Rexita got her name because she was first named Rex. They thought she might be a male when she was a baby. They had to fix that real quick once they discovered that she was a female.
It's late after getting home tonight from the zoo and downloading all the photos but I just had to post these photos of this most beautiful owl. It's the first time I had an oppurtunity to photograph this owl so I was so happy that the photos turned out nicely. The bottom two are of her and her handler. Hope you all have a good nights sleep. Sweet Dreams!

Whilst taking shelter from the rain, I not only stayed dry but as an added bonus I found some great photo oppurtunities inside this barn/outbuilding.
Not a bad way to say goodby! This one was taken on my last morning in South Australia last year in March. I chose to stay in Port Elliot on the Fleurieu Peninsula for one last night before I headed further East and sadly left the state. During my time in South Australia the Fleurieu Peninsula turned out to be a photographers playground and I took every oppurtunity I had to drive down there from Adelaide, staying for sunset and sunrise.
Went up to the Enchanted forest at the weekend for their penultimate show of the season. It was brilliant, I highly recommend it. Great lighting synced with music and about a bazillion photo oppurtunities.
there are so many cliche sayings about being young. It's crazy how much oppurtunity and possibility I have at this point in my life. I can do anything I want to do and be whoever I want to be. so for me the beauty of being young is that I can shape my future to be even better than I could ever imagine. 11/52
Sorry I haven't been around much...haven't had the oppurtunity to go out photographing lately. With my older one back to school full time which I pick up for lunch everyday & my little one going to preschool a few times a week in the morning...doesn't leave me much time to go out exploring.
These Cosmos flowers were taken near my home in front of an art gallery/studio.
Hope you are all doing well...wishing you a great week! :)))
oh im not going to pretend to be some hardcore train bomber that breaks into yards (full respect to them though) its just that the hostel i was staying at was right next to a train station that kept a load of trains in garages but also some where just parked outside and it seemed like too good an oppurtunity to miss
i did lots of tags on the trains and there should be some more photos to come but i also attempted to paint a straight letter piece on the side of one but ran out of paint half way through hahaha
The best action of yesterday's G1 minor storm probably got covered by the clouds, managed to get at least something, waiting for new oppurtunities.
As much as Iove the idea of the new App-Controlled Batmobile (Set 76112) It just doesn't look like a Batmobile. Not really. Which meant it was the perfect oppurtunity to MOC it up.
So, using the 1989 Batmobile as inspiration, I present - The Chibi Batmobile.
And yes, it's a lot of fun to drive.
