The Outrider, Inspired by the Shadows of the Empire comics.
This vehicle was in my head for a very long time, and it was time for a MOC of this model.
In the end it took me more than a year on and off building before completing it.
Actual building time around 20 hours or so. The variety on source material made it a bit difficult to grasp the "real" version. The good part of this is that this gave me the oppurtunity to freestyle a bit here and there. Hope you like it!
To be honest, the photo's don't really do the model justice, need to work on my photography skills :/
The storm I refer to is because of what I shot after this photo. I walked around the corner from my house on the way back to work. I was proud with some good photos and walked to the road. Blocking my path was this old chinese bus which I thought was a good photo oppurtunity. The photo didn't come out so well as I was too close and was running late for work. The driver seemed distressed about something and he signalled to me. I kept walking as I thought he was angry for taking a picture of his old as hell bus. He got out and he was wearing a military uniform. He motioned to me spouting Chinese about god knows what. I thought maybe I was going to get acosted again, like earlier when I was taking a picture of the moon apparently nearby a army base! So anyway I showed him the photo and he asked me to delete it (maybe because it was so bad). And he seemed happy. I walked to work and a few minutes later a car screetched up and another army got out shouting like crazy at me. He took my photo and he was questioning me! I told him I didn't understand and I continued to work. He followed me all the way to work untill I took him to see my boss. He demanded the camera to see the images. I told them no way is he touching this camera! So we downloaded the images onto a nearby computer because he didn't believe I didn't have the picture anymore. So we downloaded all the images onto the computer and he started seeing how much of an asshole he was being. He sulked away from the computer when he realised he was wrong and muttered a muted sorry and went on his foreigner bashing ways! The outcome of the story was that I have to be more careful of what I shoot from now on, as the military base has many interests in the area. The original photo was of a 50 year old bus with two elderly passengers!! I couldn't believe it. The sensitivity of the confrontation was due to three Taiwanese spies having being caught last week in the same area. The chinese translator refused to translate my parting comment to the officer saying "when's the last time you saw 007 taking pictures of a bus with two elerly passengers 20 metres away in broad daylight?". I don't think this is the last I'll here of these guys. And thank god they didn't link me to me giving a finger to a military vehicle earlier this week.... fun times in China...
Hope you enjoy this pic. It's with my new lens! I love it!
I was lucky enough to be given the oppurtunity to shoot at a new, amazing hotel in Colorado. The Black Monarch is a dark, curiosities, eccentric themed hotel that is a one of it's kind. It used to be a casino, brothel, and saloon back in the Gold Rush era, so as you can imagine, with all these unqiue qualities combined, I had such a fun, creative time shooting there. I felt so fortunate to be allowed to literally explore the whole space and shoot wherever we wanted to.

Headed over to Bexhill as the seafront there has an abundance of photo oppurtunities.
Thes shelters have so much character and I've been after a shot of one for ages.
This is a 110 second exposure with me sitting in the shelter having a ghostly presence thanks to the LE.
It was quite refreshing doing a LE where the sea doesn't dominate the picture but I would have loved to see more of a streaking sky for extra drama.
I increased the vignette to encapsulate the shelter.
For this picture I pressed the button on my cable release and locked it in position with bulb mode activated then just walked over and sat down, at the end of the exposure I got up and released the button, simples.
I got a few funny looks as my camera and tripod was left in the middle of the pavement and I was sitting in the shelter hidden slightly for a couple of LE pictures.
As you can see I'm getting better at colour correction.

Pole Dancer: Megumi Yuzuki / 柚月恵
Couple of months ago I had this assignment to take some profile photos of a pole dancer, this was the first time for me to shoot someone doing this type of dance, and we did some very interesting stuff together. Her name is Megumi Yuzuki / 柚月恵, and she is one of the best pole dancers in Japan, she is very professional and also very easy to work with. We have also done some other shoots after this one, but the result from them I will upload later! In this article I will explain the strobist setup of the edgy lighting I've been using for her, and you can see some of the photos below!
Here is the whole article about the shoot on my Website! Check it out! Here I will mention just a little about it. In this shoot after a talk with my model, trying to analyze her I decided to go with some edgy lighting, thus putting some emphasize on her beautiful body lines. So I decided to use my strip lights from both sides diagonally and shoot without any light from the front side. I think this really created some images that show in a really good way her body structure. Then after some shots with only the strip lights, I thought to put some life into the background, so here came the flash gels, on this shoot I used blue and purple, as you will see on the shots I've uploaded down in the article! And after setting that, it was just about to shoot, she was now posing that much as she was just doing it the way when she is dancing, so I didn't have to tell her a lot what to do!
So, what is actually the pole dance? Well, maybe from the influence of the Hollywood movies, but the pole dance still has the reputation of strippers in the night club. Actually it is getting popular as an excercise and something to learn, also it is gving you the oppurtunity to practice and enjoy spins, acrobatics, floor movement and others tricky things! She is teaching students from 16 to 60 years of age, so you can do pole dance no matter what age you are, and no matter what job you are doing! Megumi is organizing a party called PDN. It has a different theme every time, for example doing collaboration with salsa and samba dancers, capoeira, or even jazz and and other types of live music combined with pole dancing to create an interesting show, and deliver their concept. Approximately 20 dancers perform on each show, and they dance until late in the night. Pole dance is a way for every woman to polish herself as a beautiful woman in a healthy way. You don't need to look like a celebrity or have amazing acrobat skills of an olympic player to do pole dance, it can be practiced by everyone no matter of social status and age!

Nepal is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of bio-diversity due to its unique geographical position and altitude variation. The elevation of the country ranges from 60 meters above sea level to the highest point on earth, Mt. Everest at 8,848 meters, all within a distance of 150 kilometers resulting in climatic conditions from sub-tropical to arctic.
This wild variation fosters an incredible variety of ecosystems, the greatest mountain range on earth, thick tropical jungles teeming with a wealth of wildlife, thundering rivers, forested hills and frozen valleys.
Within this spectacular geography is also one of the richest cultural landscapes anywhere. The country is a potpourri of 101 ethnic groups and sub-groups who speak over 92 languages and dialects. Nepal offers an astonishing diversity of sightseeing attractions and adventure oppurtunities found nowhere else on earth. And you can join in the numerous annual festivals that are celebrated throughout the year in traditional style highlighting enduring customs and beliefs.

It was a year ago today I saw the Nova in Sainsburys car park and ceased my oppurtunity to put a note on it which paid off! I still cant believe my luck with this car, I honestly thought I would never see it again. The previous owner said when I showed her the photos from 2014 of the car it was obviously meant to be.
I have spent a lot of money on this car and it is getting to the point where its more than what the car is worth but I dont care, this is a keeper so I am not afraid to spend money on it like I have with previous old cars.
I have done around 800 miles in it since May, most covered between then and September time and only covering about 50 miles in recent months as I dont want to use him in the wet and when there is salt on the roads for obvious reasons. I would like to attend some shows with it this year as original Nova's are becoming so few and far between now.
This year I want to get a new clutch put in it, all the brakes renewed as going by the service history its only ever had the pads changed in 29 years! I am going to fit the alloy wheels soon and am hoping to get some original mud flaps for him as that would be the icing on the cake. I want to get the bottom of the doors repaired and also the n/s front wing repaired or renewed then give the whole car a thorough polish as in areas its fading.
If the oppurtunity ever arises to visit Bodnant Gardens in North Wales then take it,the place is stunning
"Last week was incredibly stressful for me. I'm sure you all know the drama that went down last week and it totally threw me off and made me incredibly tensed all week. But last week Dezmin Dykemyker stepped WAY out of line and she pushed me to the limit - I'm sick of her acting like she owns the damn place and she totally embarassed me both in her photo and at elimination when she got a higher place than me despite what she did. This time, its time for me to get my full revenge...
So, we found out that we were gonna go to Las Vegas this week which was super exciting as I've never been before but also the fact that it was the perfect oppurtunity to humiliate Dezmin! We found out as soon as we landed that we were going to all be walking in a Vages-inspired fashion show challenge. I was the last to hit the catwalk - right after Dezmin - and I had the pleasure of standing next to her heiness as she constantly moaned and complained about her outfit and makeup. What she didn't know was that I loosend the buckle on one of her stilettos right before she was about to hit the stage. As Dezmin had walked down the runway and was returning she 'suddenly' slipped and fell flat on her face. Being the professional model I was, I HAD to keep the show going and proceeded with the fashion show despite Dezmin lying on the catwalk like a squashed bug.
Deadless to say, I won the catwalk challenge and totally impressed the designer that were sat in the front rows! However, Dezmin? Not so much."
Sorry about this being a little late! I hope thats okay?

The most beautiful sunset I've ever seen.
My last night in Marseille: it was a very reluctant goodbye, an emotional moment due to this moving sunset and the
fresh memories of the wonders I had the oppurtunity to admire on the natural reserve of the Frioul archipelago during my trip.
Frioul archipelago, Marseille (France).
The Frioul archipelago is the limestone shadow off the coast of Marseille and is made up of four islands: Pomègues, Ratonneau, If and Tiboulen.
Original floral species flourish in the site’s arid microclimate. In total, 200 plant species can be observed and some are protected. Many seabirds also flock to these islands including the yellow-legged gull or “gabian” in Occitan.
The sea bass farm on Pomègues island has been recognised as the number one organic farm in the world.
The archipelago is part of the Calanques National Park and is a protected site where you can experience the real Mediterranean.

Went along to Brighton last night to get some pikkies but decided to throw myself down some stairs along the seafront and sprain my ankle instead lol.
But thanks to the power of embarrasement I got up after landing on my tripod and camera bag and quickly hobbled off with my wife fussing over me with worry.
Anyway no wanting to waste the oppurtunity of getting some pictures I carried on getting a few shots I'm really happy with.
This was taken in the play park which my daughter was playing in using the playpool to get a slightly wobbly but cool reflection.
The sun had gone down but there was still some nice colour left in the sky.
I flipped the image to put the reflection at the top to give a sureal feel to this shot.
Also thanks to my flickr contact photojunket for his advice on using the high pass filter as I had my settings way too high which oversharpened my pictures.
i have played with the settings being more moderate and as you can see the effect is much more natural and pleasing in this picture.
Thank you for all your amazing comments and support on my pictures, you are all great.

This structure stands in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ on the Hudson River across from lower Manhattan.
The shed is connected to the west side of the CRRNJ Terminal building. Trains would pull into the shed and the passengers could get off and walk through 3 buildings, protected from the elements. They would then board a ferry and continue their trip across the Hudson River into lower Manhattan.
The terminal and shed was built in 1889. From 1890-1915, tens of thousands of daily commuters would travel by train and than ferry to and from the CRRNJ Terminal. Ellis Island immigrants increased this traffic by several thousand each day. For these immigrants the CRRNJ Terminal was the "Gateway to America."
By the 1950s. the opening of the Hudson River tunnels and bridges to NYC and the decline of immigration brought an ending to many of NJ's railroads. The CRRNJ Terminal closed its doors in 1967 due to bankruptcy. In 1968 the terminal and waterfront were purchased with state and federal funds. The terminal was restored and turned into a State Liberty Park in 1976.
I loved visiting this place for the first time on Saturday. There were so many photo oppurtunities, the day was beautiful! I just cant understand how I have never visited this place being that I have lived in NJ, mostly my whole life. I only live about 20 mins from this gem. I will be making many more trips here in the summer thats for sure!

I've never really realised how awesome Hangry is and how lucky i am to have her <3 she's almost at the brink of breaking her knee, but she's so gorgeous :DDb
There was gorgeous lighting today, and Kumiko couldn't pass up on an oppurtunity like this one! You can see how awesome her hair colour is, and, i admit - everyone needs atleast one Hangry.... ;DDb
I'd also love to thank everyone for the recent feedback on my photos, it means alot and my dolls are flattered *waves*

I had alot of fun and laughs with the crew painting this one, and some how managed to use white in all aspects of my piece(3D, fill, outline ect.) on a white background. show up then blow up!

Thanks to Creations for Charity the hallowed story of the Gypsy Queen squadron has another chapter...
What's the story you ask? It all started years ago when Stijn built the MATSF-5000E Superbanshee II SE which was gifted to none other than Keith, who in turn honoured Stijn's gift with an epic build - the Gypsy Queen, You are cleared for Launch.
Which, was in turn homaged by yours truly with Operation Oscar as my launch pad to try to bribe voters at every convention with my FrogPODs (it didn't work).
So I finally got to not only meet Mr. Goldman and partake in one of his epic layouts, he but gifted me one of the Gyspy Queens.
The last, would be donated to C4C - where it would be up for grabs by anyone.
... but what fun would that be? Plus it'd be a horrible way to end the story of the Gypsy Queens....
Instead, I seized the oppurtunity to dictate where the last Gyspy Queen would land...
So now I have two.
I don't really need two.
I just need one.
So where will the last one go?
Someone will get a nice Xmas present.

Why not make some kid's christmas better too? There are plenty of awesome mocs in Creations for Charity store, so why not make your holidays, and some kid's holiday that much brighter?
i realise that when you buy fruit for a school project to photograph, it's obviously also a calling to take a photo of one of them to use in your 365. especially strawberries :P

i've not had them in so long and they were DELICIOUS nomnomnom. i wish i'd "expanded" this. i love the bokeh those trees create - no matter how annoying they are in the summer when youre trying to enjoy the sun
and i just want to take this oppurtunity to thank all of you
you're all so supportive and encouraging every single day, even the days where i give nothing back. i apologise for the times i dont have time to reply to fms (lololol), comments and such, as i really should. but i have to say i absolutely adore what everyones done today - it is all seriously gorgeous. (my favourites are gonna soar tonight, ha)
so thank you :)

after beeing not underground for a month i took the oppurtunity to visit at my off-day the wieliczka salt mine near krakow with their their immpressive underground cathedral carved out of salt .
I decided to take one of the last chances this year to do some bike-photography. I think it's the best time of the year for that, because the colors of the autumn leaves are really great and warm.
I used my Yongnuo YN-568 to brighten the biker. I switched the camera to FP-Synch (or HSS) to be able to shoot at 1/800s. I also used an orange lighting gel filter on the flash because without that the light of the flash would have destroyed the warm look. It was the first time for me to use one of those, but it's a simple trick I've read in a book. I think there are lots of oppurtunities to use gel filters and the whole set with many different colors was really really cheap.
This was captured on the way down of a mountain called "Hohe Möhr". It's in the south-west of the Black Forest and it was the first time I've been there. Really worth a visit.

A continuation to the "W for Waterfalls series", this is the landcape series from this months weekend trip. In terms of photographic oppurtunities, this was the best trip till date to Munnar and surrounding hills. For landscape, I played around with CPL filter a lot. Rain, rain, rain - giving me an oppurtunity to do lots of chorse and clean out my iphoto - here is a shot from a few months ago - will be at least 6 months before we get the lovely warm sunsets again
First shot of the year and I wanted to use the key to symbolise the opening of a new year. Often people use this time of year as a starting point for new resolutions and other changes or pursuits that they wish to adopt come january 1st. So often we get caught in the same routine and hum drum but we all have the oppurtunity to make subtle changes, no matter whether you believe in resolutions or not. I am a believer in the Humanist perspective and the idea that you can open these doors and unlock your own potential if you have the desire and will to make the changes in your life.
A capture I still had in stock from that great photowalk in Gent with Erroba and Michael Rathmann. Now I can't make good captures of a church, so Erlend asked if I would test his fish-eye lens. Since we both use Canon, the lenses are interchangeable (thank God for that!). I am not a fish-eye addict, but open to every technique in photography I couldn't pass at such a great oppurtunity. I learned that using a fish-eye is very hard to master, since composition is very difficult. From the 30 captures I made with Erroba's lens, this is the only one I like.
Take a look at my Gent set to have an impression of the day.
Week 6
I just got an Instagram. Yes, finally. I am a bit late. But, follow me on there for behind the scenes goodness and details into setting things up, creating props, and other odd parts of my life involving photography. Follow me here!
On to the shoot, this location just had the concrete foundation floors poured two days ago so I took the oppurtunity to shoot in it before it started to get filled up. It was pretty awesome that I got to luck out and get to do this. It took about five hours to set everything up and wire the lights to power about sixty feet away. The bottles took the longest part because I got a bit OCD about it. I washed them most out, filled some with water, and left other dirty. Then, I sprayed water all over the ground and called it. I finished up pretty late in the evening. My favorite part of this entire thing was the morning after when someone from a bar across the street told me that people were asking what was going on in the tarped barn across the road because it looked like a scene from Dexter. They told the people it was just me shooting pictures obviously but I thought I would have thrown some red paint on the walls for good measure had I known I was being a spectacle.
Last weekend I planned two photoshoots, but both models cancelled :( So I took the oppurtunity to check out my medicinal clay ;) It was pretty hard to focus right @ f/1.4
Yongnuo 460 through small octabox camera left.
For ages now, on my way to work, I've looked at the redundant gasometer and thought I should really take some pictures of it before it's demolished. Like the Nestles chimney, its one of those Salisbury landmarks from my childhood, that's going to disappear soon. My evening trip to Waitrose to take pictures of the Baron, gave me the oppurtunity to take some pictures.
Okay this is her last photo entry Yesss!~ Im done with them all Thank you so Much Avery(Daniella ) I dunno I researched for her name^ thank you for this oppurtunity and this is my first comeback competition and it still is unbelievable that we made it in the finale thank you!:Dmuch love from Me and Keira.

K:Oh thanks for the question I am actually wearing a one of kind Diane Von Furstenberg piece she made it exclusively for me.and its Couture.
G:"I must say your working this outfit amazingly you look like a Goddess yourself,So lets get to the questions,Did you get along with the other girls in the house?"
K:Me and Allison Ashwood talk to each other but the rest Im not actually fond of the others because I have this shy personality that I had since I was a child.
G:"So whats this BNTM experience for you about?"
K:I cannot even describe this. This one is my first and actually at such a young age It still is like a dream come true for me(smiles)..
G:What can you say about Alicia being part of the final 2 with you?
K:As I have said I dont have that much friends in the house but Alicia is such an amazing model her photo's are clean and inspired. And I am happy to be in the final 2 with her although I wish I made friends in the house. But I guess Its just because that I am more focused in this BNTM rather than being friendly to everyone".
G:"What where your favorite and not from the photoshoots that you did?"
K:Hmmm(thinking)My most favorite is Colorful Close-up that theme which I got number 1 and showed another side of me but most them are my faves to add old fashion models too but probably my least is the Bling beauty shot I dont know I just know that photo was not worthy for first place and my placing that week was in the middle. But I must say the finale themes are the ones that I love~.
G:What can you say to your supporters who rooted for you and voted since from the start?
K:They are all amazing people~First of I think my look relies on the pretty side and Im happy when I see their comments on my photo's,especially how they voted for me shows their love and support I really wanna thank them(waves her right hand to her fans).
G:"So if you get the chance to win this and be part of W.agency's Diamond model lineup(winners) what will you feel?
K:That would be a dream come true ( smiling and amazed)But I think what I learned from this competition is an award or cant be defined for me, if I win this Im sure am gonna be one Diamond model. But it still is blur for me because Alicia is great contender also.
G:ohh Gurll have some faith in yourself and I'll see you in the finale?Dont let your supporters down and make them proud(cheering up Keira )
K:Thank you I do actually because of them and I hope my photo's where enough to impress you guys in so little time~Thank you for this interview:) (Keira says thanks Gillian , snapped more photos for the paparazzi ,fans too and then headed towards the premier of BNTM's finale episode)
Hope you all like this~ Keira sported platinum blonde this time and I made her Long Gown and notice the shoes I got a way to make them like these hehehe;)
Forced to evacuate becuase of Irma I had the oppurtunity to spend few days in Fairhaven, close to Bellingham. I was really missing the mountains and the woods and this short trip has been so refreshing for my mind and my soul. I hope I can visit this place again.
Yes, four Red signals in a row, so eloquently displayed against the back drop of a beautiful Morning has broken Red Sky. Oh, what a wonderful World in which we live, we are so fortunate to have been given the oppurtunity to see God's wonderful creations. May all waring nations laydown there arms and expel the hatred in their hearts, so that the only Red that they see is of a beautiful morning or evening sky or beautiful Fall Colors and not of a red rage directed toward his fellow man and come to the relization that our time her is but a blink of an eye, why waste it in a rage of Red.

Hi everyone! I was away this weekend visiting family in St-Catharines, Ontario & got the oppurtunity to go out photographing. How wonderful it was to finally have something new to shoot...:))) This bird portrait was taken at the "Bird Kingdom" in Niagara Falls, Ontario. What a neat experience it was to have birds flying all over the place...free as can be.
Happy Monday everyone...will try & catch up with you all asap! :)
Could the tide be any further out, could the sky be any grayer, could the cloud be any thicker. Light was none existent! But, i was on the beach with my camera, so I made the most of the oppurtunity!
he is not allowed to come close, touch feel, or hug during working hours...abba is reserve like most of the abbas ..and puttar is shy. They sell kheer ( rice pudding) in the main bazar of rang mahal. on my request to come close to each other and fit in my frame...they did not miss this oppurtunity to show and feel the love they have for each other. father son love is even more complicated in our society.
Ladakh - The erstwhile Kingdom nestled in the Western Himalayas was also known as the “The Hidden Kingdom”, preserving its beauty and its culture for ages from the outside world.
Today, Ladakh is among the most visited places in India, no more hidden but yet, well preserved when it comes to its traditions and cultures - the very aspect which makes Ladakh very special for me to visit again and again. More you explore, more you find. After about 8 trips to this magical place, finally I earn the oppurtunity to capture the stunningly beautiful and very detailed 'Ladakhi Costume'.
Hiring a local, making them wear compormised costume catering to tourists doesnt appeal to me. Which is why, exploring, meeting and socializing with locals for a week at forgotten corners around Leh got me the good fortune of capturing this image which truly fills my heart.
About the costume :
Robes in yak wool and silk, capes in brocade and goatskin, woven scarves and shawls, silk and felt hats, embroidered pants, fine felt sashes with beads woven in, shoes with nambu & tigma tie & dye work, woven pangdens or aprons and jewelry accessories in red coral, white shell & blue turquoise, all came together in a harmonious fashion - Design perfected centuries ago and remains so till date.
What catches my eyes the most is the PERAK - The Head Dress. The perak is a status symbol for a Ladakhi woman, her wealth and position are shown by the number and quality of the stones decorating it. Turquoise is the perak's dominant element. The full perak is worn by a married woman as her most valued possession, turquoise stones acts as a form of old-age security. Draped over the top of a woman's head it looks like a raised cobra poised to strike. Resemblance is made stronger by the two black wool ear flaps worn at each side of the head.
Featured here is the most elegant and beautiful - Chamba, who is a resident of a little vilage called Chochutt.
