The real question was what kind of a macro can I shoot to capture the true essence of Pink Floyd's Ummagumma or even Echoes. I was thinking something with a standing wave but maybe a project for a later date.

 

I didn't think the PF thing was going to pan out and my attention soon turned to a little old phone I have. It's a nice old phone, it keeps the old piano company, they share dust. So, making it's debut as an image for Macro Mondays, Lockdown Song, Operator and accompanied by a Jim Croce song of the same name. You just can't go wrong with Jim Croce songs.

This is what happens when someone pushes the wrong button on an industrial oven to racks of plastic trays full of meat products. Instead of steam cooking the product, the operator selected roasting....at much higher temperature

It's the cool 'Mr Lincoln' hybrid tea-rose.

A smooth operator of the rose world with its enticing fragrance and elegantly shaped petals.

I finally figured out what bothered me about the operators I've made in the past. No camo on helmets or vests. It just didn't flow without it. So I painted some helmets and vests, and here we are, something I can finally be satisfied with

Picked up a Brick Warriors radio along with some other Brick Warriors gear at Brick Fair Virginia last weekend. I have to say that the radio works very well ! It is one of the better pieces BW put out with there latest ww1/ww2 wave of releases.

A restoration project I finished recently was an old late 1890s Cairns Senator aluminum helmet. I reproduced a metal helmet shield from an Operator (Chiefs aide) from the Los Angeles Fire Department and painted the helmet in the according paint sheme. The shield was cut and painted by hand.
