Sometimes, when I'm out hiking and photographing, I don't take the time to really look at the photo I just took. This is one of those times. Didn't realize that the lens cover was in the lower right of the photo until I saw the photo on my computer. Usually I do a pretty good job of making sure it doesn't dangle down when I have the camera pointed at the ground. This time, I guess I forgot! I still like the pine cone and leaves.

Another photogenic Havana auto

but there goes the guys camera!

It seems that a frogs have been laying eggs in puddles that would very soon dry up, leaving these little guys stranded. just thought it would make for a crazy bw!

Next time I need to keep both hands on the steering wheel!

This fencing is forever getting bashed which is probably a good thing as it stops drivers from going over the edge of the curved entrance road and falling over the drop there, about 1m.

This is at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary Out-Patients and Emergency Depts and a fence was not in the original plans when it was constructed many years ago. The fence was installed after accidents caused by drivers failing to negotiate the tight curve there.

This is yet another case of planners coming up with a design which on paper looks good but in practice don’t really work all that well!

Not exactly how this family outing was supposed to go. Fortunately no one was hurt, except for a slightly bruised ego.

Title suggested by the wonderful exchange between Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum in the original "Independence Day." : ))

The company accidentally put in two figures. I'm not complaining though, free figure!

I was standing in the parking lot and I spotted an Anna's Hummingbird. I quickly shot at the same time as a noisy truck with it's backup beeper sounding. I had no time to check my setting before it fled. 1/8000 is quite fast but I would have been better helped by upping my ISO. It did stopped the wings though.

Maybe it would have been a good idea for this astronaut to double check his carabener...

Also, maybe it would have been a good idea for me to double-check the deadline for RogueOlympics, because I missed it by about 15 minutes.

This would have been an entry for round 2 with the appropriate theme word of "Oops!"

Fuji Pro 800Z (expired 2008, shot at 400)

Shot some expired Fuji Pro 800z in 220 format and apparently there was no backing paper (or very thin paper) so that every time I opened the window on my Kiev 88 film back to see how many photos I had left it exposed a bright circle in the frame. At first I was disappointed but now I have come to really like some of them! Funny how that happens. Take care, everyone!
