Sorry! I’ve just been on the laptop (normally just on my phone) and found many uploads not showing on my phone!! Think there are re still a few issues with the Flickr changeover! Actually I became aware of it through -Macros on Monday. I don't post in the group because I don't have a real macro lens and the rules are very strict there. But I always find the topics quite good and I like to admire the results. "Checkered" - that's when I remembered, that there was something suitable flow around in my archive.

When I was at my sister's home this morning because Filou needed his eye drops, I noticed Sethi sleeping on my nephew's bed. My nephew was away visiting friends and Sethi obviously enjoyed the peace and tranquility. As soon as I pointed the camera at him he of course woke up. Sethi has a radar for cameras and usually makes sure you don't get a chance to take a photo of him but this time I was faster ! :)
Leo is 12 weeks old now and still at that age when the tail is a strange creature with a life of its own. I add one more capture in the comments, same cat but another tail. :)
This shot was taken the same day as the previous photo, however, I managed to catch the sun shining through the clouds and onto the hut. I’m not sure if the wind lifted it and I hope that no one was inside when it tilted .
Festive Coquette (endemic - male) - boast elegant, green cheek tufts which are tipped with white. During courtship these tufts are flared outward and the male bows his head before the female, exposing a patch of pale blue bare skin on his crown. Both sexes display a white rump band as do many others in the genus, but Festive Coquettes lack the rufous on the head. They inhabit humid forests, forest borders, second growth, and cerrado where they are usually seen foraging at flowering trees and behaving similarly to other coquettes. A younger male American kestrel (the one with spread wings in this picture) landed on an electricity pole and pushed the older one out.
I expected a serious fight but that's not what happened.
