Rochefort-en-Terre is classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France and a Small Town of Character in Brittany.
The Breton city of Rochefort-en-Terre gives an impression of homogeneity despite the diversity of architectural trends expressed there: half-timbered houses, Gothic style buildings, Renaissance residences, classic hotels, 19th century architecture... It is the stone, omnipresent here, which forms the link between these different testimonies of History.

The title is in sanskrit..It means 'here, there, everywhere' simply to mean 'the omnipresent' :)

Playa of Tengradin, Noja, Cantabria, Spain, 12th Oct 2012
In the photo tour in Cantabria the weather was definitely not on my side, especially in Noja where I had little chance to photograph because of the omnipresent rain.
However, a couple of days later it went well; here's the first shot of the beautiful Tengradin di Noja Beach.

Like the wind above Akota Nui, the Le-Akotan are fleeting, yet omnipresent, in nature. They drift across the land, seeking fulfillment before their passing. As such, they may be found in virtually all parts of Akota Nui- living all manner of lifestyles. The largest settlement of Le-Akotan is that of Le'kainga, a large village perched upon Ga'maunga Peak. It is here Lenua resides.
Lenua tends to the young Le-Akotan, helping them prepare for their journey of self-fulfillment. The beginning of this journey is christened by the Ceremony of the South Wind during which the young matoran leap from the side of the mountain and glide off to parts unknown. While Lenua takes satisfaction in training the young matoran, she is haunted by an indiscernible emptiness. It was upon meeting the young matriarch Galia that she had discovered what she truly yearned for.

I don't know why I'm drawn to that nuclear powerplant so much. Maybe it's its esthetics, combined with its enourmous sight and its omnipresent white smoke on the horizon... and there is of course that beautiful reflection...

Katowice-Nikiszowiec used to be a coal miners settlement in Upper Silesia in present time Poland.
Before WWII, it used to be a part the Great German Imperium, called Katowitz.
Ovens in houses were coal powered,.. therefore, the black smog was omnipresent.

At May 21, 2011 ŽFBH 661 307 helped the omnipresent electric locos of class 441 hauling freight trains over the Ivan Pass summit. About noon 661 307 runs downhill to Rajlovac / Sarajevo with a loaded coal train from Ploče over one of four bridges near Tarčin.
As usual the red-shouldered balckbirds are aplenty at my favorite migration site. But, this year this little yellow beauty seems to be everywhere. Half a dozen nests so far without really looking and they are all occupied with busily incubating parents.
Asbury Park was broken down, falling apart 30 years ago. Then its cheap elegant housing was discovered by the gay community in NYC, who bought up a lot of property and fixed it up which provided a lot of the impetus for the rejuvenation of the city. AP has had a strong gay community ever since. This first weekend of Pride Month, the boardwalk was filled with happy couples and the omnipresent rainbow flag.
Walking along one of the canals in the beautiful Belgian city of Ghent, you may notice, if you look up the high brick wall on the other side of the street, this dark menacing sculpture.
There is no info on what the sculpture name is, or who the sculptor was - at least not on the wall. I could find nothing worth attention about it on the Internet either... yet I think I know what it is about. Isn't the trumpet the Angel holds in his hand one of the seven trumpets sounded to cue apocalyptic events, as described in the Book of Revelation? I think it is, considering that just over 100 years ago, in the midst of the World War I, a new kind of weapon, mustard agent, was deployed in the field, not far from the city of Ypres located less than 50 miles west of here. (Yes, there, in Flanders fields where the poppies grow). Thus begun the infamous era of chemical warfare... Isn't the Angel wearing gas mask to protect himself from it?
Since then, humans made an impressive progress in inventing creative ways of killing other humans. I think this unsettling image is not just about the past. Yes, it is about Remembrance - but it is also about today, and the future. Angels of Death are mostly invisible - but omnipresent. They are waiting for opportunities to blow their trumpets. Remember that.
P.S. Thanks to Hans Holt who let me know that the statue is called
De Zuiveringsengel, and it has been created by Tom Frantzen.

The Symbol Jewels Of Ion - Sacred Geometries - The Stygmat by Daniel Arrhakis (2023)
A new mystic series "The Symbol Jewels Of Ion - Sacred Geometries"
The Symbol Jewels Of Ion - Sacred Geometries (*)
Symbols and sacred geometries in the Mystical World of Ion whose meaning goes far beyond the visual representation or its dreamlike character.
They materialize a mystical power that unites human qualities with a conscious and omnipresent universal spirituality that reigns over destiny, matter and time.
The Stygmat
Stigmata (Ancient Greek: στίγματα, plural of στίγμα stigma, 'mark, spot, brand'), in Catholicism, are bodily wounds, scars and pain which appear in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ: the hands, wrists, and feet.
A mark of disgrace associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person.
In the Mystic World Of Ion the symbolism of this geometry is a little different, the red blood is the intrinsic strength, the hereditary character, the courage to face adversity, the base of the calyx of a flower that extends vertically to its stigma, to the light, to the green of hope and redemption.
The chalice delimited by two juxtaposed hands that pray and face with faith, adversity, the stigmas of ignorance and misunderstanding.
In the center, the blue sky, faith renewed after the storm, the sweet home you return to at the end of the day, the temple that awaits and welcomes you, the water that quenches your thirst.
In the Mystical World of Ion, far from being a stigma, Stygmat geometry is the representation of strength, faith, courage and, above all, resistance in the face of adversity.

The Lotus Temple Delhi, India
This is one of the most famous and most popular buildings in India. However it was only inaugurated in 1986. The temple lies south of New Delhi and has a unique and impressive design in the shape of a lotus flower, India’s symbol for peace, purity, love and immortality.
The Lotus Temple is an impressive building that consists of 27 elegant flower petals. The closer you get, the more impressive these enormous petals look. The Lotus consists of 3 rows of 9 petals. The first 2 rows point up and reach 34 metres at their highest point. The 3rd row curls outwards, giving the temple a sense of openness. The petals are used as awnings. As the lotus grows in water, the flower is surrounded by 9 ponds, also in the shape of lotus petals. The rays of light that shine through the domes and the roof, illuminating the white walls, create a magical ambiance.
The 28-year old Canadian architect Fariborz Sahba was given the honour of designing the Bahá’i temple. He travelled to India for inspiration and spiritual guidance. During his trip, Sahba realised that symbols play a very important role throughout the country. The lotus flower in particular was omnipresent. In addition, he learned that other religions also embrace this flower as a symbol of spirituality. So he chose not only an elegant design but also a symbol that is a perfect match for a welcoming religion.
The elegant details in the design made the construction of the marble Lotus Temple quite a challenge. Up to 800 people worked for 10 years on the construction. There was even a school and day care for the children of the workers. One of the last tasks was the ceiling. A decorative golden plate was placed in the heart of the lotus flower, at the highest point of the structure. The plate includes the name of Bahá'u’lláh, founder of the faith, engraved as a symbol of unity. The combination of the gold and light that pours in through the windows create a magical ambiance. Interesting fact: even the Bahá'í followers from Iran who were imprisoned for their religious belief, worked in prison to earn money to contribute to the golden symbol of this temple. The hard work paid off: the Lotus Temple has been hailed as a 20th-century masterpiece.

After a hiatus of nearly four years a revenue passenger train returned to the end of the line in downtown Newport Rhode Island when the Mass Bay RRE's Narragansett Bay Special made a round trip over the entire thirteen mile length of the Newport Secondary.
The train consisted of two GE centercabs, Newport and Narragansett Bay Railroad numbers 14 and 66 and the five car regular dinner train consist.
The former still dressed in yellow paint is a GE 80 tonner built in July 1941 as the 5th of the model off the production line. Originally numbered GE 14 it worked at the company's Schenectady plant until being sold and rebuilt in the late 1980s to serve at Northeast Utilities' West Springfield power plant. However, after coal and oil fired units 1 and 2 were shut down in 1999 the locomotive had no purpose. It sat on site there for more than two decades until the NNBR purchased it in 2023 and shipped it to Fall River on a flat car and then had it trucked over to the island and set back on the rails and put back into service.
The latter is freshly repainted into the very attractive paint scheme featuring colors that pay homage to the state of Rhode Island and the omnipresent sea. It wears a newly applied logo for the Grand Bellevue Dinner Train for which it is the regular power. A GE 65-tonner, it was built in 1943 and was most recently numbered USN 65-00566 where it served with a sister unit at the Portsmouth Navy Yard until being replaced with a trackmobile several years ago. In 2024 she and sister unit USN 65-00308, two years her junior, were purchased by Eric Moffett and turcked to Rhode Island with the the 65-00308 being assigned to the Seaview Railroad freight operations at Quonset Business Park.
The trailing cars are:
Generator Car former USAX 89657 built by St. Louis Car Company in 1952 for the US Army as a kitchen car, then later served Amtrak as a baggage car.
Theater Dining Car Atlantic Rose built by the Budd Co. in 1946 as a 46 seat coach for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad as car number 220. It served on the famed Champion and passed to SCL and then ultimately Amtrak before being sold in the 1980s.
Kitchen Car Bellevue Clipper built by the Budd Co. in 1948 as a 52 seat coach for the Seaboard Air Line Railroad where it served on the famed Silver Meteor. It passed to SCL and then ultimately Amtrak before being sold and gutted and rebuilt into a modern full service kitchen in 1987.
Dining Car Aquidneck Spruce was also built by the Budd Company in 1946 as a 54 seat coach for the Pennsylvania Railroad as their number 4051 and originally assigned to pool service on the Champion to Miami in conjunction with the RF&P, ACL, and FEC railroads.
Diner Lounge BC-30 is a Budd RDC-3 built in 1956 for the Pacific Great East Railway. The self propelled car was one of seven the railroad bought which passed to BC Rail and remained in daily scheduled passenger service until discontinued by the province of British Columbia in 2002. It and sister BC-15 spent a couple years on the short lived Wilton Scenic Railroad in New Hampshire before coming to the island in 2007. The car is in the process of being remodeled into a dining car and bar with the headlights and horn operational and used as a shoving platform from the cab.
After first shoving right to end of track in downtown the train reversed direction and headed north 2 1/2 miles to Piers where 66 was cut off and moved to the south end for the train to operate pull/pull for the rest of the day up to the north end of the island and back. Now back on the move, they are seen in this going away view crossing Burma Road northbound at MP 3.3 which would have been about MP 26.7 as measured from Myricks and the junction with the New Bedford mainline back in PC and early CR days.

Chawri Bazar Road in the heart of Old Delhi, one can feel the smoggy dust in the air that seems to be omnipresent in this city.
This is the Stag Gallery. Created at the end of the 19th century, this Renaissance style room, with its coffered ceiling, was used as a reception and dining room. The Duke of Aumale received the artistic and intellectual elite of the period in this room every Sunday. Hunting, the favourite pastime of princes, is omnipresent in the decor. 8 tapestries adorn the walls: they were woven in the 17th century in the Royal Gobelins Manufactory, after a famous 16th century hanging: The Hunts of Maximilian.
At the end of 1905, the industrialist and collector André Thyssen commissioned Rodin to produce a marble version of this assemblage. The sculptor entrusted his secretary Rainer Maria Rilke with a note for the work, to which the poet gave its title, linked to the myth of Isis, omnipresent in fin de siècle symbolism: "...Her face, tilted in the shadow and whose inflexible features seem illuminated by the brightness of the adolescent's flesh, remains nevertheless immobile, like the body in its ancient enigmatic pose of the sphinxes. The veil that flows from the head and back of the goddess gathers heavily on her breast concealing the secret of her prodigious and indifferent fecundity."
Five minutes shy of two hours exactly after getting this shot: flic.kr/p/2mGBFxj I returned to the same curve near MP 5 on the Finger Lakes mainline to watch road train GS2 curl past headed back west home to Geneva. Alas by then the gorgeous sunlight had become filtered as the clouds moved in hinting at the rain to come that would be omnipresent all of the following day.
Leading the train are consecutively numbered GP38-2s 2002 (blt. May 1966 as a GP40 CN 4005) and 2003 (blt. Jan. 1967 as a GP40 MILW 154) dressed in sharp 'lighting stripe' paint that pays homage to the New York Central heritage of the old 'Auburn Road.'

Here's another from my time out following the Mass Bay RRE's Narragansett Bay Special which made a round trip over the entire thirteen mile length of the Newport Secondary. The train consisted of two GE centercabs, Newport and Narragansett Bay Railroad numbers 14 and 66 and the five car regular dinner train consist.
She is coupled to diner lounge BC-30 which a Budd RDC-3 built in 1956 for the Pacific Great East Railway. The self propelled car was one of seven the railroad bought which passed to BC Rail and remained in daily scheduled passenger service until discontinued by the province of British Columbia in 2002. The car is in the process of being remodeled into a dining car and bar with the headlights and horn operational and used as a shoving platform from the cab.
Pretty little number 66 brings up the rear crossing Willow Lane at the intersection with Depot Street so names because this is where the Portsmouth depot once stood here at about MP 9.2 which would have been about MP 20.8 as measured from Myricks and the junction with the New Bedford mainline back in PC and early CR days.
This was once named 'Coal Mine' station for the deep underground anthracite mines once located here. Anthracite coal was mined for more than a century from 1808 to 1913. Between 1867 and 1883 the coal fed the Taunton Copper works which operated a smelter adjacent the mine on Arnold's point off to the right. In latter years the mine site was the home of Kaiser Aluminum which operated from 1967 to 1987 and was the last major rail customer on the island. Today all the land which is still zoned heavy industrial has been redeveloped into luxury condominiums. The centerpiece of that development is The Tower at Carnegie Abbey rising in the background. The 22 story tower opened in 2009, and at 242 ft it is far taller than any other structure anywhere on the island. It is built exactly on the footprint of the former Kaiser Aluminum plant's extrusion tower where coated aluminum wire was produced and hence fell under the zoning variance for the former manufacturing facility.
