How Is LVP Made?

The sheets are then printed to look like wood grain, and they’re bonded together with adhesives that are meant to mimic the properties of wood. It takes around 6 months to produce Lvp. Three layers are sprayed onto a spinning cylinder, which gets coated in resin before each layer goes down. After everything dries, the planks are sliced into different sizes. All of the finishing touches take place at this point. Planks can be polished or given a film finish before they’re packaged for shipping.
Luxury Vinyl Plank (Lvp) is more durable than hardwood flooring but not as durable as solid vinyl planks. It can be installed almost anywhere and on all surfaces.

This is a photograph from the Clane and Rathcoffey Parishes annual 10KM and 5KM Road Races and Fun Runs which were held in Clane village, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 19th of October at 14:30. This year's event follows on from the very successful staging last year (see link to photographs below). The organisers offer both a 5km and 10km race and the event provides an opportunity for runners, joggers, and walkers of all abilities to take part in the event. The 5KM has a particular emphasis on family entrants. There was a wonderful atmosphere around the Village as both races started and finished on the main street outside the parish hall. The directly out-and-back routes provided an opportunity for a fast time on a good course and made for a great finish line atmosphere as runners, joggers, and walkers crossed the line. Great praise must be extended to the whole organising committee who organised a very efficiently run event. The events provide some runners with an opportunity to have a final race effort session in the week leading up to the Dublin City Marathon.

Overall Race Summary and Logistics
Participants: There were about 200 competitors combined in the two events.
Weather: The weather was very changeable for all of the events. During the 10KM race there was a heavy rain shower around the area of the 6KM mark but this didn't actually fall in the town. There was a strong headwind against competitors in the 10KM on the return part of the course between 6KM and 8KM.
Race Course:
This summary includes information on both the 5KM and 10KM races.
Both races start in the same place - just outside the Race HQ on the main street of the town. The races then proceed north eastwards out the Dublin Road towards Straffan and Celbridge. Just after 400 meters the races take a left up a small local road and proceeds along this road until it takes a tight left hand turn at the end of the lane at Capdoo goo.gl/maps/aPo26 (Google Streetview). The route proceeds until it shortly meets the Clane-Kilcock Road - College Road R407 goo.gl/maps/SGcPa. Both races will divert into Clane Business and Industrial Park goo.gl/maps/EQMf0 . The 5KM turns around and returns on the same route to the finish. However the 10KM race continues (taking a left) back onto College Road. Soon afterwards it passes the famous entrance to Clongowes Wood College on the right the race takes the next left (goo.gl/maps/zUhrJ) and brings runners onto the road known locally as the 'Long Road' (R408 Between Rathcoffey and Prosperous) at this point goo.gl/maps/fHKr2. The race proceeds northward until runners meet the Clane Kilcock Road once again. With the exception of the partial run into the Industrial Estate the race returns to the finish on the main street in Clane via the same route as the outward part of the route.

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

Introduction and Welcome
Welcome to Glenwood Gardens. This wonderful park offers a wide variety of habitats for plants and animals to live and provides for passive recreation in the form of a walking trail.
The vision for the park originated with former Park District commissioner Sam Benedict and his wife Betty. The Benedicts donated an initial gift of 23 acres and in 1969, the Benedict family generously donated an additional 62 acres to create Trillium Trails Wildflower Preserve. The dream continued as Mrs. Mary J. Burchenal bequeathed 11.5 acres in 1993. The entire Burchenal family demonstrated its desire for the land to be preserved when it made the remaining acreage available to the Hamilton County Park District. Through the proceeds of a one-mill property tax levy, the Hamilton County Park District was able to purchase an additional 238 acres in 1993 and 1996. This property along with the original acreage has now become Glenwood Gardens. Together, Winton Woods and Glenwood Gardens form approximately 3,000 acres of green space. Through the generosity of the Benedict and Burchenal families and the support of the citizens of Hamilton County, Glenwood Gardens opened to the public in July, 2001 and will benefit generations in the future.
The mission of the Hamilton County Park District is "to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations". Glenwood gardens offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy and learn about the beauty of southwestern Ohio through interpretive signage along the trail. Naturalist programs are also offered on a regular basis. You can find a complete listing of programs in the most recent issue of Evergreen, available through the Cincinnati Enquirer or in the literature racks throughout the Park District.
History
Before becoming a part of the Hamilton County Park District, this land has played a major role in many people's lives. Thousands of years ago, the first people to inhabit this area hunted animals and gathered food produced by woodland plants. They left their mark on the land in the form of burial mounds and garbage pits. From these, archaeologists have been able to learn that these people had an extensive trading route. Marine shells, copper items, grizzly bear teeth, and other such exotic items have been found in other mounds in Ohio. Scientists have developed methods to determine what characteristics constitute a mound, so not every mound has to be disturbed to be confirmed. This is the case with the mound found on this property.
In more recent history, this are has been used for agriculture including crop production and cattle grazing. Prior to the construction of the West Fork Dam that created Winton Lake in 1953, the bottomland along the West Fork of the Mill Creek routinely flooded. The resulting annual deposits of flood sediment have created rich and fertile soils highly suitable for the development of a garden. Through the generosity of the Benedict family and Burchenal family, Glenwood Gardens is a place for present and future generations to share and enjoy.
College of DuPage Cosmetology students demonstrated their skills, offering free services April 20 on the Glen Ellyn campus as part of Beauty Week. Students offered free face mapping and consultations and manicures.

Tour #1: Arts, Innovation and Sustainability Tour of Central San Francisco
This 1.5 hour walking tour will be lead by James Hanusa, Green Economy Advisor for Stakeholder Forum and New Initiatives for Burning Man Project.
The tour will start at the award winning, newly built San Francisco Public Utilities Commission headquarters, key features include onsite clean energy generation, 100 percent waste water treated on site and advanced daylight harvesting.
The electric vehicle pilot project at City Hall will be the next stop with both car share and city vehicles in the program. We will walk through the planned Resource Conservation District at Civic Center on our way to UN Plaza passing the Federal Building, which is the first naturally ventilated office building on the West Coast since the invention of air conditioning. The building is also an example of how building design can help slash emissions of greenhouse gases.
We will proceed down the emerging arts and innovation district of Central Market Street visiting multiple local arts groups such as art and technology collective, Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, and cultural avant garde organization, Burning Man Project. The 5M innovation complex will be the next stop with short interviews with developer Forest City and leaders from resident organizationTechShop, Hub Soma and Intersection for the Arts. Our tour will continue through the Yuerba Buena Gardens area including the Center for the Arts, the SF Museum of Modern Art, including a quick chat with the W Hotel Manager about his building, which is one of the first LEED Silver for existing buildings in the world.
Our final stop is the gallery at the San Francisco Planning + Urban Research Association‘s LEED Silver headquarters.

The Pathways Hotel offered another snorkeling tour option: night snorkeling! Out of curiosity, we signed up.
This tour wasn't conducted by Beyond the Reef, the company that took us on our morning snorkeling tour. It was conducted by The Pathway Hotel's very own Steve.
Kevin, a retired commercial fisherman from Long Island, NY who's been living in Micronesia for the past 9 years, took us all out on a little green boat. We went to an area south of Colonia, near Woneeday Channel. It wasn't far from one of the snorkeling sites we had gone to in the morning.
"I took Steve and Tony out yesterday, too," said Kevin. "They caught 6 lobsters!"
