Modified Diagonal Rib in STR Highway 30 Completed!
My daughter offered to model the socks for me and then refused to take the socks off for another day! They are so squishy! I made the foot a little bit long for me, although I could get away with wearing them, so that I could gift them. Meanwhile, we've both worn these socks, and now they're being washed!
I can't even keep up with how many pairs I've made so far this year. I think it's 7. And I've got 8 and 9 on the needles. OK, I checked. It's 7 and that makes only 1.75 miles knit! That's it! I've purchased more than that! But actually, 7 pairs is pretty substantial for the first 3 months of the year. I don't think I can keep up the pace, but will probably start carrying a plain stockinette pair for waiting or the beach.
Do you think the recipient will know that these are used? We had to give them a test wear, make sure that there are no bumps in them, don't you think?
