Pewabic Pottery offers ceramics classes, exhibitions, showcases and sells pottery made in house as well as by artists from across the United States, and it offer design and fabrication services for public and private buildings. In addition to the Kavarna Coffeehouse vegetarian menu, the larger space allowed them to open Parisi’s Delicatessen, which specializes in gourmet sandwiches made with local artisanal cheeses and grass-fed meats. Their vibrant side-by-side businesses offer unique eating options in the Broadway District.

"the mill offers a vivid evocation of the workplace of a 19th-century miller."
A 19th-century flour water mill it's a Grade II listed building. A mill on this site appears to have existed from the early 13th century. Originally all the water for the mill came from the River Doe Lea which fed the Miller's Pond on the Hardwick estate. By 1762 the Stainsby Pond, fed by the Stainsby Brook, had been constructed and the water also fed into the Mill Pond which was situated the other side of the road from the mill. Water was allowed into the mill race by sluice gates under the road.
By the 1840s the mill had been become dilapidated and William Cavendish, 6th Duke of Devonshire decided it needed rebuilding and re-equipping. The mill was substantially rebuilt in dressed stone from the Hardwick Estate and fitted with modern machinery, including a 17 ft (5.2 m) diameter breast shot water wheel, between 1846 and 1850. It was in operation for a century until it finally closed in 1952. Up till 1865 the millers were members of the Saunders family who had worked the mill since 1689. Subsequently the tenancy passed into the Hitch family for the rest of its working life, the last miller being William Hitch.

This is the 35th year of the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon, which is run through the historic Georgian streets of Dublin, Ireland's largest and capital city. As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

Canang sari is offered every day to Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa as a form of thanking for the peace had given to the world; it is the simplest daily household offering. The philosophy behind the offering is self-sacrifice in that they take time and effort to prepare.
Canang sari has some parts, there are peporosan, ceper, raka-raka, and sampian urasari.[2] Peporosan or the core material is made from betel leaf, lime, gambier, prestige, tobacco and betel nuts. Material of peporosan is symbolize the Trimurti, three major God in Hinduism. Shiva symbolized by lime, Vishnu symbolized by betel nut, and Brahma symbolized by gambier.[2] Canang sari are covered by ceper (a tray made from palm leaf) as a symbol of Ardha Candra. Raka-raka is topped with sampian urasari, which are in turn overlaid by flowers placed in a specific direction. Each direction symbolizes a Hindu God (deva):
White-colored flowers that point to the east as a symbol of Iswara
Red-colored flowers that point to the south as a symbol of Brahma
Yellow-colored flowers that point to the west as a symbol of Mahadeva
Blue or green colored flowers that point to the north as a symbol of Vishnu
A canang sari is completed by placing on top of the canang an amount of kepeng (the coin money) or paper money, which is said to make up the essence (the "sari") of the offering.[3]

Introduction and Welcome
Welcome to Glenwood Gardens. This wonderful park offers a wide variety of habitats for plants and animals to live and provides for passive recreation in the form of a walking trail.
The vision for the park originated with former Park District commissioner Sam Benedict and his wife Betty. The Benedicts donated an initial gift of 23 acres and in 1969, the Benedict family generously donated an additional 62 acres to create Trillium Trails Wildflower Preserve. The dream continued as Mrs. Mary J. Burchenal bequeathed 11.5 acres in 1993. The entire Burchenal family demonstrated its desire for the land to be preserved when it made the remaining acreage available to the Hamilton County Park District. Through the proceeds of a one-mill property tax levy, the Hamilton County Park District was able to purchase an additional 238 acres in 1993 and 1996. This property along with the original acreage has now become Glenwood Gardens. Together, Winton Woods and Glenwood Gardens form approximately 3,000 acres of green space. Through the generosity of the Benedict and Burchenal families and the support of the citizens of Hamilton County, Glenwood Gardens opened to the public in July, 2001 and will benefit generations in the future.
The mission of the Hamilton County Park District is "to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations". Glenwood gardens offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy and learn about the beauty of southwestern Ohio through interpretive signage along the trail. Naturalist programs are also offered on a regular basis. You can find a complete listing of programs in the most recent issue of Evergreen, available through the Cincinnati Enquirer or in the literature racks throughout the Park District.
History
Before becoming a part of the Hamilton County Park District, this land has played a major role in many people's lives. Thousands of years ago, the first people to inhabit this area hunted animals and gathered food produced by woodland plants. They left their mark on the land in the form of burial mounds and garbage pits. From these, archaeologists have been able to learn that these people had an extensive trading route. Marine shells, copper items, grizzly bear teeth, and other such exotic items have been found in other mounds in Ohio. Scientists have developed methods to determine what characteristics constitute a mound, so not every mound has to be disturbed to be confirmed. This is the case with the mound found on this property.
In more recent history, this are has been used for agriculture including crop production and cattle grazing. Prior to the construction of the West Fork Dam that created Winton Lake in 1953, the bottomland along the West Fork of the Mill Creek routinely flooded. The resulting annual deposits of flood sediment have created rich and fertile soils highly suitable for the development of a garden. Through the generosity of the Benedict family and Burchenal family, Glenwood Gardens is a place for present and future generations to share and enjoy.

To extend the range of your pinhole lenses we offer a simple solution, the step by step extension of focal length to the normal and tele range. The extension ring kit, consisting of five rings, is mounted between camera and pinhole lens. With the selection of rings you decide on the extension and resulting angle of view. From light wide angle to tele-lens. The get the optical part right, don't forget to insert the correct pinhole aperture into the pancake lens. The offered kit includes pinhole apertures in three sizes.

Tour #1: Arts, Innovation and Sustainability Tour of Central San Francisco
This 1.5 hour walking tour will be lead by James Hanusa, Green Economy Advisor for Stakeholder Forum and New Initiatives for Burning Man Project.
The tour will start at the award winning, newly built San Francisco Public Utilities Commission headquarters, key features include onsite clean energy generation, 100 percent waste water treated on site and advanced daylight harvesting.
The electric vehicle pilot project at City Hall will be the next stop with both car share and city vehicles in the program. We will walk through the planned Resource Conservation District at Civic Center on our way to UN Plaza passing the Federal Building, which is the first naturally ventilated office building on the West Coast since the invention of air conditioning. The building is also an example of how building design can help slash emissions of greenhouse gases.
We will proceed down the emerging arts and innovation district of Central Market Street visiting multiple local arts groups such as art and technology collective, Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, and cultural avant garde organization, Burning Man Project. The 5M innovation complex will be the next stop with short interviews with developer Forest City and leaders from resident organizationTechShop, Hub Soma and Intersection for the Arts. Our tour will continue through the Yuerba Buena Gardens area including the Center for the Arts, the SF Museum of Modern Art, including a quick chat with the W Hotel Manager about his building, which is one of the first LEED Silver for existing buildings in the world.
Our final stop is the gallery at the San Francisco Planning + Urban Research Association‘s LEED Silver headquarters.
