The Garage in Burnsiville is a getaway for teens. They offer support to those who need it and many resources.Along with helping teens, they put on shows in their venue, many times oflocal, mostly unknown, musicians. On November 30, we went to The Garage and saw4 different artists. The main event was, or most known, was Chase Coy. Alongwith Chase Coy there was: Rival Summers, Unplug Stereo, Backseat Goodbye. Theacoustic styling of Chase Coy and Rival Summers could make any teen heartsmelt. Unplug Stereo and Backseat Goodbye played enriched tones and deepharmonization. All of the performances had an upbeat, positive out look to their music.
The atmosphere of the show was magnificent. The small size of the crowd made it so you were able to interactone-on-one with the artist. When one artist was done playing their set theywould come into the crowd and shake hands, and even bust out their sweet moves. The bands were so in touch with the crowd. They were even laid back enough totake photos with anyone after playing their set. The highlight of the night wasgetting up close and personal with Rival Summers. Our group was able to discusshow he got the oppurtunity to go on tour with the other musicians. The whole experience was filled withuplifting music, positive atmosphere, and friendly faces. It is a high quality venue for teensat a relatively low price.

Local Police Procession offered a procession of Tribute to Bristol’s own Gary Powell on Friday, March 2, 2018. As Pastor Sheets pronounced to the family and friends of Gary Powell on Fri. March 2, 2018, “This is not a funeral - this is a celebration of the life of a man who left an impression on everyone he met.” Family, friends and all whom he met in his journey on Earth learned a life lesson from him. His wife Linda Powell and his children, grandchildren and stepchildren will attest that he was also a well-loved man. He was the local Coin Man who could teach you something you didn’t even know that you needed to know. He was retired from the Bristol Police Dept., and he loved his old police car so much that he bought it when the Town sold it, and would drive it in the Homecoming Parade. At the family luncheon held Friday afternoon, the family raised their glasses of his favorite diet Red Pop in a joyful toast of love for him. Just the Facts: Gary R. Powell, Nov. 30, 1940 to February 24, 2018. He passed away at The Maples in Goshen, IN. He owned the Interstate Coin Exchange in Bristol and was a retired Reserve Officer of the Bristol Police Department. Memorial contributions may be given to the Bristol Indiana Police Dept. Reserves.
MSfit Opens For People Living with multiple sclerosis
Opening statement on landing page:
A young man’s vision and the collaboration between WSSU’s Department of Physical Therapy and the Gateway YWCA have come together to form MSfit, a free fitness and wellness program offered to people living with MS.
It was the brainchild of WSSU alumni and former WSSU employee Brian Murrill, whose mother Patsy Murrill is living with multiple sclerosis. She was diagnosed in 1995. She is a teacher at North Hills Elementary School.
"It's been a challenging yet rewarding experience seeing this program come together. I originally came up with this concept in January of 2013 to honor my mother. My original goal was to create a program that would directly address the physical and emotional needs of people living with MS,” said Brian. He said since then his organization has developed key partnerships with the Gateway YWCA, National MS Society, and the WSSU Department of Physical Therapy.
Here is his view of the future for the program. “Today we have three main objectives: the first one is to provide the MS community with a free fitness and wellness program that is designed to improve the quality of life of our participants and their families. The second one is to take the results from our program and share them with physicians to better understand the role fitness and wellness plays in managing MS. The last one is to create an opportunity for graduate level PT students to get hands on experience working with our participants. MS is the most common disabling neurological disease of young adults in the U.S. It is our hope to grow this program and improve the overall quality of life of as many participants as we can. When you support MSfit, you are empowering people to move beyond their MS by giving them the knowledge, skills, tools and confidence to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors, actively co-manage their disease and live their best lives through health and wellness," Brian said.
The MSFit clinic is a free clinic where screenings occur for multiple sclerosis patients, along with development of an exercise program, and education on the exercise protocol for the clients at the YWCA.
MSfit officially opened its doors to participants January 26th at the Gateway YWCA, in Winston-Salem, NC, from 1-5 p.m. Since MSfit announced the launch of the program in October, it has received an overwhelming response from potential participants.
Prior to beginning the program, participants are required to complete an initial fitness screening that will gauge their level of ability. The screenings were conducted by the Winston-Salem State University Department of Physical Therapy (PT).
Dr. Sara Migliarese, a physical therapy professor at WSSU, said, “The WSSU Department of Physical Therapy is excited about the partnership with MSfit. Our third-year students performed the fitness screenings and developed exercise programs for the clients with MS based on their abilities.”
“Under the supervision of DPT faculty, the students will educate each client on safe and effective exercise using the YWCA facilities, classes, and equipment. This service-learning opportunity will benefit the students, as well as the clients, and the WSSU PT Club is already involved in early fundraising activities to help support the MSfit Foundation and cover the cost of the YWCA memberships for the MS clients. WSSU is committed to the success and sustainability of this community service,” Migliarese continued.
As a part of their coursework, the WSSU Department of PT will return to the Gateway YWCA once a month to reevaluate participants and document their successes.
French postcard by Editions P.I., Paris, offered by Les Carbones Korès "Carboplane", no. 944. Photo: 20th Century Fox. Millie Perkins in The Diary of Anne Frank (George Stevens, 1959).
Millie Perkins (1936 or 1938) is an American actress and model. She is known for her debut film role as Anne Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank (1959), and for her supporting actress roles in the modestly budgeted Westerns, The Shooting (1966) and Ride in the Whirlwind (1966), both directed by Monte Hellman and co-produced by Jack Nicholson.
Mildred Frances Perkins was born in Passaic, New Jersey, in 1938. Perkins was working as a receptionist at a New York City advertising agency when she caught the eye of a visiting photographer. It resulted in a career as a model. By 1958, Perkins was an international cover girl. Her engagements took her as far as Paris. This brought her to the attention of Hollywood director George Stevens, who was looking for a leading actress for his next film after Audrey Hepburn and Natalie Wood rejected the role. Despite her total lack of acting experience, Perkins won out over 10,000 other hopefuls. At the age of 21, Perkins got the role of Dutch Jewish diarist and Holocaust victim Anne Frank in the biographical film The Diary of Anne Frank (George Stevens, 1959). This first film adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank won three Oscars and Perkins received almost universally excellent reviews for her portrayal of Frank, although the film was less of a box-office success than expected. She was signed by 20th Century Fox. However, her tenure at the studio turned out to be brief, prematurely ending in her suspension for refusing to play the lead in the bucolic drama Tess of the Storm Country (1960), which she viewed as a retrograde step in her career. She starred opposite Elvis Presley and Hope Lange in Wild in the Country (Philip Dunne, 1961). Joshua Logan personally selected Perkins for the female lead in the film Ensign Pulver (Joshua Logan, 1964), but the film was a failure. Perkins would not appear in another mainstream film release for almost 20 years.
Millie Perkins' career contained a few more peaks. In 1966, Monte Hellman directed her and Jack Nicholson in the off-beat Westerns The Shooting and Ride in the Whirlwind, which both have since acquired a certain cult status. Perkins appeared in another cult classic, Wild in the Streets (Barry Shear, 1968), for which her then-husband Robert Thom had written the screenplay. In addition to film roles, she continued to act in theatre and model. After the birth of her children, she limited her professional activities. She starred in the psychological Horror film The Witch Who Came from the Sea (1976) produced and directed by Matt Cimber. The film was written by Robert Thom, Perkins's then-husband, who was undergoing extensive medical care at the time. Thom's hospital bills had become a financial burden for the couple, so Thom devised the screenplay for the film, for Perkins to star. On television, she made appearances in television series like Knots Landing (1983–1990) and fourteen episodes of Any Day Now (1998–2002). In 1983, Perkins returned to feature films to play Jon Voight's ex-wife in Table for Five (Robert Lieberman, 1983). She then played 'mother roles' for the next 20 years. She was Sean Penn's mother in the fact-based film At Close Range (James Foley, 1986), the mother of Charlie Sheen's character in Wall Street (Oliver Stone, 1987), the bereft Jewish mother in the thriller The Chamber (James Foley, 1996), and Andy García's mother in The Lost City (Andy Garcia, 2005). In 1990, she also played Elvis Presley's mother Gladys in the television mini-series Elvis (Steve Miner, a.o., 1990) a biopic of the star's early life with Michael St. Gerard as Presley. Millie Perkins retired from screen acting in 2006. Perkins was married twice. Her first marriage to actor Dean Stockwell between 1960 and 1962 ended in divorce. In 1964, she married the author Robert Thom. They had two daughters, Hedy Thom and Lillie Thom, and remained married until Thom died in 1979, although they had separated several years earlier. Perkins later had a long relationship with actor Richard Bradford until he died in 2016.

" We offer you this beautiful steel engraving of JAMES B. ANGELL. He was born in the town of Scituate, Rhode Island, on the 7th of January, 1829. He entered Brown University, as a Freshman, in September, 1845; from which, in 1849, he was graduated with the highest honors of his class. For two years after graduating, he was engaged in teaching, and at the same time, in studies privately pursued according to his own tastes. In 1851 he went to Europe, where he spent the next two years in study and travel. From his foreign residence, he was recalled to take the chair of Modern Languages and Literature in Brown University. This position he filled with the most gratifying success till 1860. During the last two years of his professorship, he had written many of the leading articles in the Providence Journal a newspaper which has always been marked for the high order of its editorial ability. In 1860 the chair of the professor was resigned for the chair of the editor. Hon. Henry B. Anthony, having been elected United States Senator, offered to Mr. Angell the entire editorial care of his newspaper. This position he accepted, and held for six years. He conducted the Journal during the period of the civil war. It was among the most uncompromisingly loyal; it never faltered in its support of the Government. When, however, in 1866, the Presidency of the University of Vermont was offered him, the earlier and stronger love for academic life prevailed; he resigned the editorial position, and, in August, 1866, was inaugurated President of the University of Vermont. It is in itself a marked tribute to his abilities, that, at the age of thirty-seven, he should have been called to preside over this university, to succeed the men who have adorned its presidential chair. While in the State of Vermont, few citizens were more widely and favorably known; his native State had not forgotten him; his Alma Mater gave him her highest degree, that of LL. D., in 1868; and selected him for the annual oration before its alumni at the commencement in 1869. In 1871 he resigned his position in Vermont to enter upon the more arduous duties of President of the University of Michigan. The prosperity of the University under his charge is indicated by its material growth. The number of students enrolled, in 1878, is twelve hundred and thirty. The general library, the chemical laboratory, the various museums, and the astronomical observatory, have all been greatly enlarged. The number of elective students in the literary department has been multiplied. The courses in the departments of medicine have been extended from six to nine months. A school of mines, a department of homeopathic medicine, a department of dentistry, and a commodious State hospital in connection with the schools of medicine, have been added."

This three-day conference is offered in the Group Relation tradition which offers a unique opportunity to study the conscious and unconscious dynamics involved in how groups organize themselves and interact with each other. This conference is not a passive learning event that relies upon lectures. Instead, the learning is experiential. Participants study how leadership, followership, authority, task, boundaries, and roles operate in the different group experiences they enter during the conference.

Stretching two and a half kilometres across the waterfront of this small town, the White Rock Promenade and its adjoining 1,500 foot pier which is built into Semiahmoo Bay are the areas most popular attractions. Starting from the east near the crossroads of Finlay Street and Marine Drive the Promenade moves westwards alongside notable landmarks and locales such as the White Rock (for which the town is named for) and the Museum and Archives in the old train station and culminates at Bay Street and Marine Drive.

The train tracks are still operational and every so often trains come through this seaside town - be sure to look both ways before crossing the tracks when walking to the promenade.
The White Rock Pier and Promenade offer many activities, attractions and historic buildings and areas to enjoy. It is well worth the trip to enjoy a day or a few hours on the shores of this beautiful town on the edge of British Columbia

Homeopathy offers a long term cure to acne problems. It is because homeopathic medicines target the root cause or triggers factors of the disease thus gives a long-term cure
As discussed above the excess of androgen hormone in blood plays a major role in acne formation.
The excess of androgen hormone secretion is caused by many triggers. Though we know during the teen age more androgen hormone is secreted, but there are many things which stimulate to secret more androgen hormones
The major factors that trigger more androgen hormone secretion are various unhealthy emotional states a person passing through in his life
There are various emotional states a person go through during his life time such as grieves, anger , agony, anxiety ,fear, depression etc
When anybody suppress those emotions like suppress the anger, suppress the grieves, suppress his desire, those all directly affect on the neuro-endocrino-immune path which disturbs the harmonious function of endocrine and immune system.
So in case of acne the more androgen hormone secretion also has the same causative factor. So the more androgen secretion is somewhat related to suppression of various motional factors of the patient in the present or past life.
More androgen secretion means more sebum secretion. More sebum secretion means more acne formation
So to give a long term curative effect it is highly required to consider all of those emotional factors of the patient which are somewhat relates of its developments . Hence the treatment basing on those emotional suppression can help to maintain a normal and healthy endocrine function.
Only the homeopathy treatment that target the different types of suppression of emotion and thus helps to regain back the healthy endocrine function and thus maintain healthy physical state.
For various emotional suppression there are different homeopathic remedies. So in homeopathy there is no fixed medicine to all acne patient as because there is not a single emotion expressed by all people.
Thus a homeopathy medicine is selected on the basis of the individual’s emotional picture that has been suppressed in past life. The other key symptoms are also taken under consideration to select a suitable medicine for that patient. This medicine can only able to give a long term cure to this acne problem. It is called the constitutional homeopathy treatment.
Besides that the acute condition of acne like the pain, inflammation, swelling that are well treated by proper homeopathic remedies.
Homeopathy treatment not only give a long term cure to acne but keeps the person as a whole healthy.

We were on board the boat of the North River Lobster Company and took off from Pier 81 just before sunset. The boat traveled along the Hudson River towards Lady Liberty and back. It was already night time when we got back. We were blessed with a cloudless autumn day after the rain that morning. Manhattan looked beautiful at twilight as well as in the early evening with its lights all aglow. There was a nearly full moon over the clear sky to add to the beauty of the trip. This is a photograph from the 3rd annual running of The Lough Lene Gaels Hurling and Camogie Clubs New Year Road Challenge which was held in Collinstown, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Sunday 11th January 2015 at 13:00. There were two races on offer today - a 10KM road race and a 5KM road race, fun run, and walk. This is one of the first road races in the midlands of the New Year 2015. As this was a community orientated event families were especially welcome in the 5KM race. The race was organised to raise funding for the development of the GAA pitches for the Lough Lene Gaels Hurling and Camogie Clubs. Overall this was a very successful event with a very large field of well over 300 participants in both races combined. The great local effort was exemplified by a very big local contingent from Collinstown and neighbouring areas.
The 5KM race was an out and back course on the Collinstown to Fore Road. The 10KM was also on an out and back course with a deviation between 2KM and 7KM for the longer race. There were several tough hills but an equal amount of down-hill. There was a bitter cold wind on the backs of participants of the 10KM for the first half of the race which unfortunately turned to become a headwind for the return stretch to the finish. The turn around on the course for the 10KM came at Doyle's Pub [goo.gl/maps/WxPSy - Google Streetview] at Glenidan. Refreshments were served afterwards in the Lough Lene Inn where the prize ceremony was also held.
Due to the inclement weather and poor lighting we had to, unfortunately, delete a lot of our photographs as there were very many blurs and fuzzy pictures. However, we have an extensive set of photographs from today's events on the following Flickr Photoset Page: www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157649832542838/

We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs
We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?
The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.
ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.
Creative Commons aims to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!
Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets
I actually met Jeff at a family fundraiser event in Cape Coral selling cigars for Rocky Patel with Kevin Robbins, who later offered me a job as the staff photographer of the "World Famous" Cigar Bar. Needless to say, from our love of cigars and the cigar industry, there was no doubt in Jeff and Jen's mind that I would be the one to photograph their upcoming wedding.
These two are not just clients but good friends of mine. They are soooo cute together and I wish them so much happiness for their future together. They will be married 12-11-10, I can't wait.
check out more photos in their album on my new facebook page, be sure to "Like" my page as well! Thank you!
Learning center offers Native American students new technology
By J.D. Long-García, jdlgarcia@catholicsun.org
November 20, 2008
BAPCHULE — There was only one member of St. Peter Mission School community who was unsure about the name of the new Joe Garagiola Learning Center — Joe Garagiola himself.
“Joe fussed about it,” Franciscan Sister Martha Carpenter said. “He said, ‘Nothing is named after me except my oldest son.’”
Garagiola — a former Major League Baseball player who’s known as “Awesome Fox” by the school community — eventually agreed on the condition that “Where every child is a gift” be included in the center’s name.
More than 300 people were on hand for the Nov. 2 blessing of the new facility. Led by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted, the community gathered for prayer and thanksgiving.
“This center is a real homerun, Joe,” the bishop said during the blessing ceremony.
St. Peter students joined in thanking Garagiola, singing “This Man is Our Joe” to the melody of Woody Guthrie’s classic “This Land is Your Land.”
But the former ball player wasn’t the only one honored.
“We have never said as often as we should how thankful we are for the Franciscan sisters,” said Fr. Edward Meulmans, a retired priest who serves Native American missions in the diocese.
He said the students pick up the Franciscans’ loving spirit of service when they come to the school. The sisters create an environment that marries prayer with education, he said.
“The learning center, along with the church, will be an important building for us for years to come,” Fr. Meulmans said.
The five-year project replaced the school’s tiny library with the 5,125-square-foot learning center featuring a lab with 30 computers and a 12,000-volume library.
