A mixed bag of images from a typical Sunday stroll around Blackpool.
My 1st outing with my new FujiFilm X100T.
I had a Black X100T but wasn't keen on the colour so I sold it and got a silver, now I'm happy.
Our tour guide and a young man who portrayed a factory worker offer guests Hershey Kisses as passengers leave the trolley. The guy in the white hat also portrayed Santa Claus and a an historic female character as he boarded and exited the trolley along the route, for wardrobe changes. I couldn't get a clear shot of him wearing a bonnet, but it was wonderful.
ODC. Discovery. I found this little area of public land off some gravel roads. When I got out of the car and walked down to the river - an eagle flew off. I am excited to come back as it gets colder to try to photograph the eagles.
In the last 24 hours Mr Lucky and Mary have travelled by taxi, plane, and the London Underground. Now they are at King's Cross. When's the next departure from Platform 9¾?

Dirtbag Challenge 2017! Some rule changes this year: double the time, double the money, TRIPLE the FUN! You get 2 months to build a chopper (no Harleys) using $2,000. And, unlike those other bike shows, you have to RIDE the bike. 100 miles to the secret campsite. Gather round the campsite with your friends. Then a 100 mile ride back to the judging site, where the riders pick the winners. From the founders:
“The Dirtbag Challenge started as a reaction to the increasing perception that a custom motorcycle had to be expensive. There is a belief that custom bikes are the exclusive right of rich pretty boys and media personalities, rolling around on cookie cutter motorcycles that cost the same as a small family home. The Dirtbag Challenge is a low rent chopper build-off, featuring real world bikes for riding in the real world. More than that, at the heart of it is a need to do your own thing, to break away from the same old mainstream ideals.

Vivitar 285, 1/16 power, bounced off a sheet of paper to the rear.
I'm interested to see what advantage I can gain from using an additional strobe.

Prince George's Metro Station, MD. I grabbed this really quick before someone could complain about me shooting in a metro station. I know how panicky they are since 9/11.
Lift off of STS-126 Endeavour as it blasts off on the last night launch by a shuttle before its retirement in 2010.
Edit: Turns out it wasn't the last night launch.
