I like the way this new camera handles during tosses. It's taking some getting-used-to, with the different weight and body style/size - but the results are pleasing so far.

I can 'just' touch my first two fingers but cannot grip anything heavier than a handkerchief. Real, em, "handy" for a photographer..
I've returned from my latest trip, so back to the grind with a picture from what's now two trips ago. This is Eads, Colorado, one of those eastern Colorado plains towns with a population about 1/7th as high as its elevation. I don't think the train passes through Eads any more.
July 4: Caught a plane to Honolulu this morning, from L.A., then paid $40 to catch an earlier flight than we were booked for to Kauai. It's vacation--money is Monopoly currency now. (It really WILL be when we get to China....) This was our jet, which delivered us in 21 minutes to Lihue. Paradise! We'll be on Kauai ten days, then ten days on the Big Island: oldest and youngest, geologically. At our rental house are two movies: South Pacific (some of which was filmed nearby) and (inexplicably) French Kiss. I could see putting South Pacific on as background sound while we cook ono and opah....
You're crying shoulder.
Today was a really good day thanks to my good buddy Cory. Pretty much after I got off work, got home to an empty house due to the parents being out of town, I went to the avenue to meet up with him. Soon after, our friend Alysa came up and we proceeded to go on our customary adventure of hooliganism. We eventually made it to walmart, where we bought some playdo, a smurf plush, and some glow sticks. Afterwards we returned to the avenue and went to cold stone. Cory and I found it a good idea to blast music from the speakers and sing as loud as we could. This is actually a big step for me due to my insecurity with my singing. I had a lot of fun. Then we came to Sean's and drank and played halo.
All in all, great night.
Live hard, love harder.

I must admit I hate Orchard Rd. Too much shopping, too much same same.
Off Orchard there is Cairnhill and Emerald Hill where there are glimpses of some of the architecture from the early 1900’s, houses built by wealthy Chinese. Perhaps owners of the nutmeg, pepper and fruit orchards that gave Orchard Rd its name.
Even worse video than the last, but was only my second attempt. Should have just left camera running as missed first few seconds of take off! Now learning more about the video settings, especially the focus!
