Canon Xti and off camera flash using the Pocket wizard mini and flex. Canon flash was the 430Ex II

Captured the shot just fractions of a second after take off from the bench, impressive wingspan and demonstration of power as it powered away locked its eyes on to its handler.

May 29, 2015 - A lucky group of Native American students from the Havasupai Indian tribe are preparing for a white-water rafting trip to learn about the Grand Canyon. They were selected for this trip and I was so excited for them! After watching the excitement on their faces as they set sail I really want to do this trip one day as well!

This shot was taken right off our back deck! It was very impromptu so the lighting set up was very simple. I used one sb900 to the front left of the subject fired through an umbrella. I purposely underexposed the background about a stop.

Carving her way off of Oceana's Runway 5, this Sunliner Super Hornet was one of four that participated in the weekend airshow.

The fact that these are actual fleet jets & pilots adds a whole separate dimension of "coolness" you don't get at other events.

Crivvens! I must have been a hell of a lot stronger when I was young!

Well, if I try this once a week for a year I might be able to get to the end. Interesting & beneficial experiment.

(I decided against swinging along the bars holding a remote shutter trigger between my teeth, so I used a 10 second shutter delay. It was meant to show me swinging along from bar to bar :-)
