Meet John AKA Extra Medium, I met John in person a few weeks ago when he came down to the studio to hang out with me and Doug. I have been following John's work for awhile and I am a HUGE fan of him as well. His wedding, and his car work is AMAZING, definitely must check his work out. John does not take self-portraits (it is a rarity) and he was kind to let me take 1, literally only 1, shot of him without his alter ego "Disco J". John is an awesome person and is always willing to lend a hand when you need it. He is very giving of everything he knows and will not hesitate to send you a good word when you need it the most. He lives in Ventura County and loves to photograph, for the love of photography. He loves God and some of his work is really uplifting! I got to spend a few hours with him, talking, sharing beliefs, shooting, watching him work. I was awestruck that night hanging out with two of my favorite flickr photographers. I am happy to call them friends and brothers!

Disco "J" on the other hand is a party animal!!!!! That guy is NUTS!!!! He loves his disco ball and carries it around wherever he goes. He loves the 70's and you better not say anything bad about The Bee Gees, cause he will lay the smack down. You will not find a an afro that size anywhere in Ventura, his golden locks are all naturally homegrown. He lives for Studio 54 (he has a mock up set in his living room), and will bust a move anywhere and everywhere. If you have not met Disco "J", then you have no idea what your missing!!!!!!

Enjoy,

Hector

A few weeks ago I did a shoot for Florida State University's fashion magazine, Clutch.

The idea they had was a fight club theme, which I had been wanting to do for a while.

This shot was the last one of the night, and honestly, one of my favorites.

The release party for the magazine was last night, so now I am finally allowed to upload some of the photos which rules cause I am so excited on them.

Anywho,

Hannah Gordon is a Coral Springs High School student in my photo class. I decided to bring my AlienBees to school on Friday and we ended up doing a small shoot on the softball field. Im pretty satisfied with the picture and the way the lighting came out. Zack took care of all the post processing work, such as removing phone lines and garbage from the field.
