A Girl And Some Tunes: The Girl With The Unchained Tragedy
John Coltrane - Blue Train
www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjRbmtrDJI4
She is an artist singer. She lives in the 50's. She's in love with a very mysterious man. She waited for his call all day.
The phone finally rings. She picks up and hears her man with a serious weird tone in his voice. She is mistrustful of him, many times in the past he told her lies.
But this time he seems serious. There's something in his voice that makes her understand it is a matter of life and death.
He has done something wrong, very wrong.
He does not say he will never come back, but she understands as she hangs down the phone that she will never see him again.
The evening comes and she have a show to do. She dresses up for the spectacle, but she feels doing nothing but drinking.
She starts drinking slowly, but soon she does not know if she's in state of sadness, dizziness, or even drunkness...
Another episode in the "A Girl And Some Tunes" series. Stay tuned there's more pics to come.

As she picks it, a weird light starts to shine from the book. The night seems to suddenly fall, and she starts having a bizarre feeling.
Now she's transported into a different world, suddenly wearing a new outfit.
She sits and starts waiting for something to happen.
But she hears some strange voices calling her. So she stands up and starts searching where thoses voices are coming from.
She puts the book down, and she looks everywhere.
She notices a dim light somewhere in the back of the woods and she stares at it...

Oh, and that's not actually absinthe... I'm still saving that for a special occasion. It's just creme de menthe with a little water.
Having not picked up my camera in [what seemed like] ages, Kailey Sue and I planned a last minute, spur of the moment session.
"Where are we going to shoot?," she asked.
"I'll call you in 45 minutes. Be ready to shoot," I texted back.
Within the 45 minutes, I packed the car while pondering some possible locations within Cookeville. After a little bit of wondering around, I stumbled upon on Dogwood Park. I had used Dogwood Park for sessions years ago, but that was before the city expanded the park with this wonderful paved walking area and fountain. It may have been a hastily planned shoot, but I couldn't have asked for better results.
strobist: 1 White Lightning x1600, camera left, diffused by a Mola Demi with stacked Opal and PAD diffusers. 1 White Lighting Ultrazap 1600, camera right, diffused by a Paul C Buff Large Foldable Octabox. 2 Quantaray shoe mount flashes, camera left and right (behind subject, rather high), bare. Monolights triggered via Cybersyncs; shoe mount flashes triggered via optical slaves. Monos powered via Vagabond IIs. A B&W circular polarizer was used. Also, an 86" umbrella was actually shading the subject from the setting sun (90 degrees camera left).
