Well, people are finally living in the building on the left side of the pic. According to the local paper they are going to build a park behind the stop sign. The only good thing to come out of all the building in my opinion is.....now they keep the lights on along the walkway down there so I might try going down there at night again.
Experienced one of the most amazing moon rising last night while I was having a walk over the riverfront near Hoboken.
Got the chane to meet Tom Fruin and shoot his original NYC watertower overlooking the Manhattan Bridge and Lower Manhattan.

The South Street Seaport is a historic area in the New York City borough of Manhattan, centered where Fulton Street meets the East River, and adjacent to the Financial District. The Seaport is a designated historic district, and is distinct from the neighboring Financial District. It is part of Manhattan Community Board 1 in Lower Manhattan, and is bounded by the Financial District to the west, southwest, and north; the East River to the southeast; and Two Bridges to the northeast.
It features some of the oldest architecture in downtown Manhattan, and includes the largest concentration of restored early 19th-century commercial buildings in the city. This includes renovated original mercantile buildings, renovated sailing ships, the former Fulton Fish Market, and modern tourist malls featuring food, shopping, and nightlife.(Wikipedia)
Here she is backing out tonight. Got down there at 4:30. She was supposed to leave at 5:00. She left at 7:45. Grrrrrrr!! Got some good shots though so it was worth the wait!

Already 7 years since my last visit to this spot. Had to revisit with my current gear for some fresh shots. 🍺
Sunset over the skyscrapers and rooftops of Manhattan looking south towards One World Trade Center (1 WTC).
(Excerpt from my New York photography book [info below])
We stood there,
your hand in mine,
as the skyscrapers
dotted the horizon
like nervous heartbeats
syncopated in time
to the city's nervous
energy.
And as the sun caressed
our faces
with its warmth,
our hearts
skipped together
over the buildings
towards the horizon
infinite and full
of life.
