Taken last night from Weehawken.

A view from the Empire State. NYC

New York City skyline (& Hudson River) just after sunset, as seen from New Jersey. A little bit of the best of both worlds, with the red/orange afterglow from the sunset at the same time as the light show that is the NYC skyline at night.

This shot is from August of last year.

You belong in a posh hotel with fresh flowers in the lobby

or a high rise office overlooking other skyscrapers

overlooking people overlooking

the gritty ground scurrying about

as if each minute mattered.

You belong in a fancy condo elevator

that never gets stuck.

Or behind a well dressed receptionist with a fancy pen.

You belong at the very top.

Still, exceptionally lonely.

You belong in the pages of a glossy magazine

filled with flashy ads for expensive perfume.

A magazine about magazines that are magazines

for the very rich who don’t want to read any articles

on climate change.

You do not belong in an art gallery

or the wall of someone who actually cares about art

Someone who knows that real photography

isn’t just something good

but something that captures the human spirit

and connects us more.

You belong in the trash bin.

But, I’ll still keep you just for now.

No promises for the future.

You better be careful. I’ll throw that magazine out.

Took this one Monday night.

Taken the same night as the previous pic.

Taken from Weehawken earlier tonight.

The clouds were fantastic the morning I took this shot.

After some time had passed. I came back to the spot to photograph the scene you see here. This is from a series of photos that I've shot at different times and with different lenses. Shot with my A7Riii paired with my 50mm F/1.2 GM

Taken around 30 minutes ago.

Icon Chrysler Tower in Manhattan seen in the background makes it's powerful presence known.

An iconic shot of the New York City skyline taken front the top of the Rockefeller Centre.

The view from the Top Of The Rock is so amazing and it's one of my favourite places to visit in New York.

This is one of my favourite shots with the city skyline, cloudy skies and the sunrays shining through, hope you like it?

Midtown Manhattan activity on a cold winter afternoon.

Although similar shots have been taken a million times, I like this one. The light of the setting sun is nicely reflected on the high-rises along the FDR. Brings up all the good memories of NYC.

Sunrise over the New York City skyline, as seen from New Jersey.

One more from the other day.

From a little over a week ago.

This photograph was taken with the 3rd lens I brought to my trip the Sigma 85mm F/1.4 DG DN Art. As you can now see the George Washington Bridge closer along with the New York City Skyline. Which photo from which lens did you like the best?

Look for the video on YouTube. My name there is NJPhotographer62.

It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream.

Amazing puddle reflection sunset of the Manhattan Bridge and Downtown as seen from Brooklyn.

If you want to get a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge & Lower Manhattan try the Brooklyn Bridge Park. The park spans 85 acres of the East River waterfront in the Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo neighbourhoods of Brooklyn and is a great place to visit.

Taken from the Weehawken waterfront.
