It happens every year they bury their nuts for safety. What they still have not noticed is the Jays sitting watching in the tree who then come and dig them up.
I love nuts of all kinds especially almonds and cashews. I can't stop eating them once I start especially if I have an ice cold beer to wash them down with. Almonds are good for your heart right? Happy Macro Monday.
Macro Mondays Savory or Sweet
I like savory and I like sweet but both together are the best!!
I make my own mix using raw, salted and glazed nuts and throw in a little dried coconut and some dried cherries. My go to snack!

This little fellow lives in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the ultimate haven away from the city’s chaos, which consists of 1,017 acres (1,589 square miles) of public grounds, thus being about 20% larger than Central Park in New York, to which it is often compared.
White Breasted Nuthatch interesting fact: a nuthatch’s foot has one big toe (the hallux) that faces backward, while its other three toes face forward. They are able to walk head first down the trunks of trees by moving only one foot at a time while the hallux toe on the other foot holds firmly to the bark.
I’ve never seen as many Nuthatches as I have in the last couple of days here in Wales. I may have to upload more.
I don't have much backstory for this one, except that I used my Canon Speedlite flash with a diffuser, something I rarely do. I prefer to work with natural light, but this seemed a good occasion to get some practice for this technique. Other than that, this is a pretty litteral interpretation of #Nuts, Macro Mondays' theme for May 3, 2021.
Happened to find a bag of nuts and bolts in the pantry. I have no idea where they come from, although when I look around our apartment at the number of IKEA type furniture I can only hope that they're legitimate 'extras'.

The day before yesterday for the first time Sue B. Lime (my new and marvelous power chair) and I took The Regency bus. I needed a small some-thing at Home Depot. Well, walking I never saw much of the store ~ it's so huge! Now that I can drive/ ride around, I had a ball exploring! In the coming days you'll see several pictures I took! What fun!
Many thanks for every kind comment, fave, your words of encouragement, and the inspiration of your fine photography,
my friends! You make my day every day!
Macro Mondays: In-A-Row
Three nuts in a row. I found these lying on the ground while out walking this afternoon. The goal was a high key look, and the nuts have an interesting pattern, however the coloring is a little bland. I have no idea what kind of tree thay come from.
The image is about 6.5 cm (2.5 inches) square.
After taking that photo I bought nuts .He thought because of taking his photo I was buying that.so he refused.

Main light was a Smith-Victor LED ring light. I used two CTO gels in front of a small LED flashlight and aimed it from behind the nuts, camera left. Another small LED flashlight had two perry sky blue gels in front of it, and it was aimed behind the nuts, camera left.
