Are they nuts?
Are they fruity?
Well, they are both, did some shopping and there are some lovely foods around, I thought this one so good looking I bought it, ... to photograph= double pleasure, afterwards, you enjoy your prop and eat it! Hihi.
It is a tray with roasted hazelnuts, dried cranberries, blueberries, Sicilian pistachios, blanched almonds, sour cherries and mulberries.
Bon appetit, perfect for the season.
Wishing you a lovely day and thank yo for all the comments, M, (*_*)

Macro Mondays: Nuts
This scene is 2.5 inches across.
It may not look like it at first glance but this wheel is huge. Almost 5 feet in diameter. Very surprising indeed.
This tree is of a very unusual species - the long slender branches are drooping like willows, always weighted down by all the nuts
I had nuts in my left hand and camera in my right. Great fun!
The large aperture of the Nikon 50mm f/1.4 works well here. I love the selective focus. I think this shot is all about the eyes.
See all the soil on his/her nose! That's because they take the nuts, bury them in the flower beds, and then come back for more. Very sensible, but gets soil all over the nose. I had little soil marks in the palm of my hand later, from where these little noses had been rubbing, while the little mouths were taking the peanuts. Great day. Trust me to go all the way to London and spend all my time with squirrels.
I'd like to thank the Dutch couple who gave me a handful of peanuts. Thanks, if indeed you are Dutch!
This is one of my favourite shots. Every time I look at it, it makes me smile, and I remember how much fun it was having this squirrel look straight into the camera.
I went to the National Portrait Gallery too, which is only a few hundred yards away from the squirrels. Kept going from one to the other. Can't work out which is my favourite.
Happy Squirrel Appreciation Day! And thanks to Flickr friend smiles7 for making us aware!
And Happy Fence Friday, too!
