Voor het diner op vrijdag 5 september in Wasigny moet de rode wijn nog geselecteerd worden. Martijn en ik hebben vijf goed aangeschreven wijnen gekocht bij Albert Heijn en we hebben in Wasigny, tijdens het Try Out Weekend ook de rode wijnen uitgeprobeerd, zeg maar ;-)
Op zaterdagmiddag, voor de barbecue en het voetbal, hebben we een kleine proeverij gehouden. De vijf wijnen hadden een jasje gekregen en zeven proefkonijnen proefden uit 7 x 5 glazen en knibbelden wat aan het stokbrood tussendoor. De bevindingen werden op een soort score-formulier bijgehouden.
Zoals ik wel een beetje verwacht had liepen de meningen hemelsbreed uitéén. Smaken verschillen nu eenmaal! Toch kwamen er voorlopig twee als favo uit de bus: de Bordeau en de Macôn.
This fugu restaurant (note the fishtank at ground level) was on Dogon-zaki on the way to the hotel. Fugu restaurants seemed to put special effort into their displays, from aquaria to 3-D signs like this.
[Note: Just discovered that I made a mistake - the word is Piazza not Plazza.
Apparently piazza now generally refers to a paved open pedestrian space, without grass or planting, often in front of a significant building or shops.]
The spelling on the fountain is "Plazza" yet many of the companies based here give their address as "Plaza"
