DON'T get between the Hawk and his prey!
-Thought he was finally fed up with me and was going for my face, he was just going after a squirrel behind me... too
close!
Got to work today & found this little note on my desk :) My funny lil coworker says since she won't dedicate herself to the project, she might as well contribute to it :)
I had lunch with Lily today. Who is Lily you ask? Lily - also known on flickr as Lola, is the winner of the most active member of the Peoria Flickr group. I was the most active member, but just a few weeks after she joined up she has easily surpassed me. She is just the kick in the pants the group needed and we mapped out the next eight years of direction for the organization.
Lily has only been in PTown for a few months - moving from the more scenic southwestern part of the US to humidity central. I did my best Phil Luciano on her - talking up Peoria by indicating mostly what it does wrong and where it has room to improve. As far as I know - she has not yet run back to the desert.
It was spectacularly nice to meet you. My best to you and your family - welcome OFFICIALLY to Peoria and thanks for letting me ambush you with a photo.
I am so allergic to mums but these didn't seem to bother. Lots of allergy headaches lately so maybe I need to let this be their last year? I planted them about 3 years ago, so it may be time anyhow.
gardeners note: this one didn't come back but the one across the walk did and is still with me in 2013 and I rooted new cuttings the spring of 2013
Asking price, $18,250
I love star notes and all that, but would someone really plop nearly $20K for a recent one dollar bill? Or is this internet hype to actually get more than a few dollars for this?
A part of my hands series. I wanted to show the diversity of hands and their status, and usage in our society. I feel that each of these photographs expresses an individual and together make a self portrait of our culture. I hope to continue to add to the series. They are also, in my opinion, best viewed in order from the book to the piano.
