The Macro Mondays theme for tomorrow, 11/7, is biscuits, or - on this side of the pond - cookies. These are one of the six varieties I bought to photograph. Luckily there is someone who will help eat them, to save me from myself… giggling.

Here's the second in the pair of "fence notes" I took last weekend at the Delaware shore. I was thinking they looked like quarter notes, with the shadows as musical bars. Yes, yes, that might be pushing the musical metaphor a little far ... but why not?

I just couldn’t resist adding Biker Santa again this year! He’s my favorite of all my Santas in a large collection, and I think some of you out there like him, too. Merry “Motorcycle”Christmas from the leader of the pack....
Honestly, we didn’t have much enthusiasm for a nice safe 90 minute hike with a few stairways and ramps in Postojna Cave, so we settled for the train in and out. All these different styles suggest dramatic changes in water flow over geologic time.
