The Misadventures of Pippa & Debbie ♥

🎵 Music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSA-yHzkvP8&list=RDQSA-yHzkvP...

The Palm View Motel pool looked wonderfully peaceful.

Guests were quietly sunbathing, someone was reading a newspaper, and an inflatable pink flamingo drifted lazily across the sparkling blue water.

Everything was perfectly calm...

...until Pippa arrived.

She had been at the motel pool for exactly eleven minutes.

The manager already knew her name.

"PIPPA!"

Pippa stood on the diving board staring across the pool.

"My handbag!"

Debbie was laughing so hard she could barely hold onto the edge.

"I told you not to put everything on the flamingo!"

"It looked stable."

"It's inflatable."

"So are tyres."

"Cars manage perfectly well."

Debbie stopped laughing for a moment.

"I don't even know how to answer that."

Pippa pointed dramatically towards the flamingo.

"My shoes are on there!"

"And your handbag."

"And my towel."

"And your sunglasses."

Pippa looked at Debbie.

"How do you know everything that's on there?"

"I watched you load it."

"You could have stopped me."

"I tried."

"No..."

"You said..."

"This should be interesting."

Debbie started laughing again.

A little boy appeared carrying a pool net.

"I'll get it!"

Pippa pointed at him.

"Thank you!"

"Finally, someone responsible."

The motel manager folded his arms.

"Lady..."

"That boy is eight."

"He has a net."

The boy reached towards the flamingo.

The flamingo drifted farther away.

"Other side!" shouted Pippa.

The boy ran around the pool.

"Left!"

He changed direction.

"No..."

"My left!"

Debbie covered her face.

"Pippa..."

"Stop directing him like an airport."

The elderly man lowered his newspaper.

"Twenty cents says the handbag goes in."

The motel manager looked at him.

"Thirty says she does."

Pippa turned around.

"I can hear you!"

Suddenly the boy caught the flamingo with the net.

"I GOT IT!"

Pippa clapped her hands.

"YES!"

The flamingo tipped sideways.

Her handbag slowly slid towards the water.

Pippa gasped.

Debbie stopped laughing.

Everyone watched.

The handbag reached the edge...

...and stopped.

There was complete silence.

Pippa smiled triumphantly.

"See?"

"Everything is under control."

A shoe quietly slipped off the flamingo and splashed into the pool.

Debbie exploded with laughter.

"MY SHOE!"

Pippa launched herself from the diving board.

The motel manager threw his arms into the air.

"NO HORSEPLAY!"

"I WAS RESCUING PROPERTY!"

The manager pointed furiously at the sign.

"You've broken three pool rules!"

"I've only been here eleven minutes!"

"Exactly!"

Debbie swam over, still smiling.

"Pippa."

"What?"

"You know you're already wearing sunglasses?"

Pippa touched her face.

She was.

She slowly looked back towards the flamingo.

"Then..."

"...whose sunglasses are those?"

Debbie looked towards the elderly man.

The elderly man looked towards the flamingo.

"My wife's."

There was a long silence.

Pippa quietly handed him the wet shoe.

"Would she like this instead?"

And that was how Pippa and Debbie were politely asked to leave the Palm View Motel pool...

Pippa carrying one wet shoe.

Debbie still laughing.

And the inflatable flamingo...

...receiving the only invitation to return.

Crazy Tuesday: #Water

A funny note! After taking pictures of puddles near my apartment and getting wet (it's finally raining today); I didn't like the pictures I took. Then I thought about some water drops on some paper, mirror, plastic, etc inside my house. I tried several times and it seems my mind wasn't quite awake yet. I put some water drops with a spray bottle on some iridescent paper and click. But I didn't like them either. Nah! I wiped them off with my hand and these drops remained diagonally and well...cute... here they are. 😊

Thank you so much for the visit and comments!

I really appreciate it!

hands in pocket

walking in the park

with the book under his arm

whistling low

i lit a cigarette

I didn't think about the studies

and was always with a friend

talking about the future

I would have liked to see you

wait for you at the exit

Ask yourself: "what are you doing beautiful?

are you coming with me to the cinema?

arriving, you arrived

I looked at you straight

then i gave you a name

I called you... tenderness

arriving, you arrived

and we were thinking

I was cheering up

and very soon, I kissed you.

and one morning

while I was waiting for you, in the usual cafe

on a white napkin... I drew you

I drew you.

The same procedure every year. Two applications are required to fly a drone in Thailand. A kind of driving licence or personal licence from the CAAT and a specific drone licence from the NBTC. Both applications require a lot of paperwork, forms have to be filled out and uploaded, photos with serial numbers, entry documents, an insurance confirmation, a residence address. If all goes well, the application to the CAAT has already been approved before the trip and so the application can be submitted to the NBTC with the entry stamp on the day of arrival. Ideally, processing will take less than half a day and you will then be sent a transfer order. The fee is 224 baht including bank charges. In the end, you have two certificates that allow you to fly a drone legally. I wouldn't do it without the certificates, because if the worst comes to the worst, you are covered, especially in the event of an accident.

Note to self--it doesn't work to be lazy, leave your ND filters in the truck, and hope to combine discrete frames in a Photoshop stack to get smooth flowing water (this is a stack of 14 frames).

Right near to our hotel at Khao Lak there was a plastic pier at the beach and it remind me to another location at Krabi especially a stay at Railay. So it inspired me to take this photo upside down by my Mavic 3 Pro. Also it reminds me to a song by Apache 207 with the title "Boot" with really funny and self ironic lyrics.

Thanks for your visits, comments and group awards!

Thanks for the congratulations on the explore.

Blue tits are still a real challenge for me... compared to that, kingfishers are almost "slow" ...

Note to myself: practice, practice, practice...

Very soon, we are moving into a house with a wonderful big garden, so I will hopefully have the opportunity to practice there more often ;-)))

It was really time for some GOOD news - at least at the end of the year ;-)))
