The first rear-engined deckers in the NIBS fleet were Daimler Fleetlines including a pair of dual-doored examples with Alexander bodied from the City of Oxford fleet in early 1983. It would last here until 1992.

This Dennis Dart SLF joined the NIBS fleet later in December 17.

NIBS buses weren't allowed to run any of their vehicles on the shuttles, but being deprived of an Olympus ride was worth it to finally catch this elusive Roundabout Dart. I always seem to snap it, bus is rarely available for rides. It was an enjoyable trip down to Basildon and the bus is pretty nippy - I look forward to seeing it at future events!

A caramel filled chocolate buttermilk cupcake topped with dark chocolate ganache and cocoa nibs! Another win for the chocolate lovers!

An eager diner bumped this tasty morsel and it was cracked open with sweet caramel oozing forth. I didn't know if I wanted to use this photo for that day's dessert but I liked the cupcakes trailing off into the distance and how else would you know that caramel was _really_ inside there? :)

These shortbread cookies are the perfect accompaniment to a pot of tea. You can find cacao nibs at Trader Joe's, or online at www.amazon.com. While cacao nibs are a bit pricey, their flavor is very intense - so you don't need to use as much. And when you consider the benefits of consuming these:

MOOD BOOSTING: Cacao contains natural chemicals that promotes heightened sensitivity and euphoria

NUTRITION: This ancient superfood is full of antioxidants, minerals, amino acids, and nutrients. It is considered an energizer, appetite suppressant and metabolism booster

They are practically health food! :-)

The recipe is on he blog.

Step 2 after the cacao beans are roasted is making them into nibs and voila= cacao nibs hot off the press :)

Connexions LX08ECW operating the PH8 Otley - Menston. This bus takes a convoluted route via Burley in Wharfedale covering sections which are largely unserved for the school flow. Between the morning and afternoon school it operates Otley local routes and then finishes with a 940 to Holt Park, nearly a 12 hour day for the bus. Great last three letters of the rego !

Another shot testing out the cheap (as in giveaway) clip-on macro lens with my Samsung Galaxy Note5.

I tend to title my shots with the first thing that comes to mind... in this case 'His Nibs' usually refers to someone full of themselves, but in researching the word, it turns out the old English roots could also refer to a quill pen... who knew?
