My mum has a lot of awesome lens filters and I happened to find out that they work on a lens that I have access to (the 50mm 1.8)!!

Last week a mystery package arrived in the post. It was from an old school friend, who had found an old Hanimex 110 Micro "toy" camera while having a clear out. There were still 7 exposures left on the film, and he also included and unused cartridge (develop by 08/90).
I finished the film off in the somewhat dull January light, and developed it in the Tetenal C41 kit. I sent my friend the scans of his 22 year old images, this is one I took this week. There are various signs of age related degradation, such as mottling, increased grain and colour shifts, but I enjoyed bringing some old memories back to life. For this one I used a novelty multi-image lens made for use on a mobile phone camera.
Our holiday was meant to include 3 cities, but during our last night in Cardiff, I was sick with a migraine. Matt and Sophie said good bye after breakfast and headed back to Rugby, but I was too ill to join them for breakfast.
After checking out, Tim drove us to Gloucester, where we had to pay the extra £10 to check in at their Travelodge early - it was either that or spend a couple of hours feeling ill in the car, in a multi-storey car park!
I never recovered enough to go out, and all I got to see of Gloucester was the hotel room, with a view of the multi-storey car park - as shown in this photo! We were supposed to stay for two nights, but we all agreed it would be best to check out a day early and just head for home.
Once home, and when I'd recovered enough, we decided to make a complaint about this Travelodge. Tim and JJ had gone down to breakfast on their own, and said the service was awful - it wasn't that busy, but they still had to ask for plates and food and other things that were missing, and the member of staff didn't have a very friendly attitude. We saw the same member of staff when we asked to check out early, and this seemed to be a big inconvenience to her. Tim had had to look for the bell to ring for service, as there was no one at the counter, and the bell was behind the counter, on the desk - which looked as if they didn't want to be disturbed! There was no compassion shown, and when she asked why we were leaving early, Tim told her it was because I was ill (which I think was pretty obvious), and nothing to do with the hotel!
We were left with a bad feeling - the other two Travelodges had been wonderful, particularly the one in Bath - but this one was lacking in customer services skills! We composed an email listing our dissatisfaction, and eventually were given a voucher for £60 to be used within 6 months. Initially we thought we wouldn't get the opportunity, as we'd already booked 2 nights in London in September (for our 30th anniversary!) and it was already paid for. But then, I thought, as we will be off for the week, we'll have another night somewhere, and take JJ - so we will be spending a night in Bournemouth too, which has cost us just £30!
Anyway, sorry to go on so much! Just thought it was a story worth sharing! This is the last photo from our week away - thank you for sticking with it! ^_^

St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom) is the most important Catholic Church in Vienna. It has a multi-colored tile roof with a diamond pattern and two tall towers. It is the most recognizable symbol of the city.
The church was dedicated to St. Stephen, who was also the patron of the bishop’s cathedral in Passau. The church was oriented toward the sunrise on his feast day of 26 December, as the position stood in the year that construction began.
St. Stephen's Cathedral was severely damaged by fire in the last days of the Second World War and virtually reduced to rubble. But with seemingly everyone lending a hand, the cathedral was rebuilt in just seven years: the emblem of Austria and symbol of Austrian identity had risen once more from the ashes.
There is usually at least 2-3 or maybe more routes depending where, but there are usually 2 areas that have routes to go to the 2 areas, but they all take a different way, like North Greenwhich-Bexleyheath(422,486,132) Not much here to say other than this (422) is the slower route out of all of them.

i went and got my hair de-bulked today. this is the prior to picture. this is au natural, which is how i usually wear it. only i don't know the last time i went a day without a ponytail.
i think i like the new do, though i always find something not quite right. i also know in a month it will look just right. i just have to wait it out and get used to it.

It was a great surprise for me to see this here, in this submarine a long time ago I came very close to being killed. It was in refit and I was doing work on the boat, slipped in the conning tower and got a serious injury, a large cut about a foot long. Oh well ancient history now and I am fine.

It visited more than 53 ports in 12 different countries and was under the command of more than 25 commanders during its long career. A major part of this career was under the patronage of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).
