Rain-soaked streets and darkness - perfect conditions for a night shot of Wuppertal's monorail in action...

I captured this multi-ring glory from our plane as we were approaching Ushuaia, Argentina. If you look carefully at the inner shimmering ring on the right middle you can see the shadow of our airplane.

Per Atoptics of the UK, "glories are always directly opposite the sun... They are formed when light is scattered through backward by individual droplets."

The composition of this image was achieved IN CAMERA using an Apple iPhone 4S. Post capture processing was indeed done, but only involving the treatment of light and colour. By "breaking the rules" of the iPhone's panoramic function, the image can be skewed, splintered or fragmented into a multi-planarity that could, perhaps be called a form of "Millennial Cubism".

Upper Antelope Canyon is one of two slot canyons on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. There are multi-layer sandstones with various colours and shades, that through erosion have resulted in different shapes. This photograph was taken in a narrow slot looking up the canyon, with some parts sun-lit while other parts in the shadows. The multi-layer sandstones of various colour tones provide captivating wavy features.
