Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon
We were so lucky that the first snow of the season had fallen 2-3 days earlier. Prior to that, the mountain had been quite brown.
What an incredible view from the top of Mount Washington. This is a panoramic shot of several images stitched together. Took me a while to figure out how I wanted to process this photo but I think this one came out pretty well.
Sorry for uploading some shots earlier and then deleting them, after looking at them, I didn't really like them as much as I thought I did. It's just one of those days I guess.

I can't believe I took this photo over three years ago. Lately I've been spending more time in the archives either re-processing past photos or trying to figure out why I skipped some photos previously. This one fits into the latter category. I suppose I was irritated with myself for cutting off the book-ending trees, but as I was scrolling through my archives earlier this afternoon it didn't bother me much. Or at least it didn't bother me enough to diminish the good things I captured in this one. Maybe you'll disagree. :) Or maybe it was the excessive light pollution from Portland and Hood River. Either way, I'm finally posting this thing. Thanks for checking it out!
Short walk along the Skyline Ridge in Wellington, New Zealand. Finishing at the top of Mt Kaukau. Pretty windy day for it.
First light of the day tries to break through the clouds over Mt Ida and the Travellers Range. The prominent cliffs and columns of the central highlands are made of Jurassic dolerite. This shot was taken from the southern end of Lake St Clair which is Australia's deepest lake owing its depth of 160m (or 525 ft) to its glacial origin. Unlike mainland Australia it is believed that Tasmania experienced four phases of major glaciation with a single ice cap covering about 4,000 sq km of the northwestern part of the central plateau along with other smaller isolated ice caps and valley glaciers. During these glacial periods sea levels were low enough to open the Bassian landbridge connecting Tasmania to Australia with grasslands and scrub heath found across the area where the Bass Strait now lies. The Road to Mt Kosciuszko has some stunning views. It's incredible to think humans have built path ways in the most hidden areas in the world. I can only imagine how amazing it must feel to be the first to adventure into an area where no one has been before.
It is very dry in Colorado. I have never seen such clouds in this state. So they were totally unexpected when I went there for sunrise shooting. I have to say that the real view was much better than this image.

Mt. Pulag is considered the 2nd highest mountain in the Philippines, next to Mt. Apo of Mindanao with only a few meters difference. It is considered as one of the most beautiful National Parks in the Cordillera Area. Mt. Pulag is typically different from the rainforest mountains in the Philippines because of its open area (no trees mountain). It also has its distinct characteristics of changing color on different occasions and season. During the dry season, Mt. Pulag is brown similar to the chocolate Hills of Bohol. During the Rainy Monsoon season, it will vary from light green to rich dark green rolling plains, almost similar to a well maintained golf course. Local People believed that is was, and is a play ground of the gods.
