This scene had me screeching on the brakes during an early morning jaunt while visiting the area.....

Have a pawsome day everyone, be cool, stay safe.
The view from my window last Thursday morning. Obviously I wasn't home in Vienna (high mountains around Vienna only occur in James Bond films). I was visiting friends in the far west of Austria, and the mountain range is the Alpstein, which form the eastern edge of Switzerland.
The foggy morning weather at that time had perfectly suited the quiet and calm riverside landscape.
One of my older photos, a picture of a part of Macau, taken from a hotel window.
The sky was really something this morning. I didn't realize a flock of geese was up against one of the clouds until I posted this photo.

The morning mist rising from the plain is wrapping the peaks below.

I am not religious at all, I believe in good and bad and that is it. In my opinion religion has caused most of the problems in the world..
However, when there is a natural display of beauty as there was this morning I can't help but wonder if there is a guiding hand after all.

Snowshoeing-by-headlamp.
You plod along.
Wondering what's lurking beyond your beam of light.
Too quickly, the sky begins to change.
You race ahead, trying to catch all the marvellous shades of blue and red; ever brightening.
Where to point the camera! :)
I enjoyed this solo morning so much, I'm taking a group of 8 up there tomorrow!

This is my neighbor, and he always gets up really early in the morning to do some fishing. As the matter of fact, he was fishing whole day yesterday. I had some shots on his net-fishing, and I will process and share with you all later. Those will be quite amazing. The exposure on the shots like this one are always tricky. Hope you like it.

Trees on a rocky peninsula catch the first morning sun at a Yosemite National Park backcountry lake.
There’s nothing like have the time for a slow morning wandering the perimeter of a forest-lined Yosemite backcountry lake. We camped at this one for something like four nights back in 2014, when a group of us spent a week in the high country making photographs. Each morning, well before sunrise, it was down to the shoreline wander and photograph.
I love photographs of trees in back-light, but there are some challenges. The obvious one, of course, is that you are pretty much guaranteed to be shooting almost directly into the sun. But second challenge is that the scene between camera position and subject is often in the bright sunlight, even if the background is pleasantly shaded. Photographing on a lake can help with this issue since the water helpfully reflects that shaded background and is hardly affected at all by the direct light, aside from a bit of extra illumination of anything that happens to be floating on the water.

From our recent trip to the Sawtooth Wilderness. I was up early this particular morning, hoping for some nice light and color, but the storm clouds from the night before were still clearing out and blocked most of the color. The scene was still very peaceful and nice.
I'm pretty mixed on the shot so I'd love to hear what you think.
