Morning light on Low Great Knott up near the Kirkstone Pass earlier today.
While having a wonder around the Kirkstone Pass yesterday I spent a wee while looking for compositions etc, so came back this morning hoping for the right conditions.
I was hoping to get the early morning light hitting the flanks of Low Great Knott, but had to stand around for a couple of hours waiting, and eventually the light broke through the clouds giving me this view.

This 17:th century mansion is all about symmetry, with a long alley leading up to the big gates and staircases framing the main facade. I took some photos like that but ended up liking this side view even better.
The two Brookies I caught yesterday morning. The biggest was caught at 5:35am and the smaller at 7am.

I was at Harrison Hotsprings this morning before the sun cleared the mountains. It was quite windy and cold but I spotted 3 Horned Lark near the Lagoon.
The view from our cottage, on the first morning of our stay on Mull - needless to say, we were a LOT later leaving the cottage than we had planned...
