Just before 8am, the golden glow shining down 5th Ave from the East was pretty amazing. I grabbed my camera for quick shot from my desk before it disappeared. I had my nifty 50 on so this isn't the greatest but you still get the idea of the warm sunshine streaming through the city center

This Red-bellied woodpecker put on a show squawking between several cypress trees at Caddo Lake State Park. None of the other morning birds gave us many photo opportunities.

While on an after-breakfast walkabout through the woods on a foggy day, my girlfriend and I came to a clearing.

One of my favourite trees, this oak, left standing out in a cultivated field - long may it last!

I was out at 7:00 a.m. today for my daily walk, because temps are expected to soar to 97 degrees today (36 C). It was still cool and pleasant.

Somehow I managed to get up early this morning. I just made it onto the hills in time before the sun disappeared completely.

Beautiful morning light falling on this snowy owl. She sat and relaxed for 30 minutes before finally flying off.

Catching the sunrise on Mesa Arch.

Morning autumn sun lights up a roadside maple not far from home ... it's lovely to get out and drive the sideroads in fall.

The second morning we drove along the lake just as the sun was comming up.

Morning therapy.. getting up a bit earlier before work and heading down to the ocean to get a couple of shots before work. plus its winter so its peaceful and quiet. nice way to start off the day.

There isn't anything quite like a Summer morning. It is hard getting up and out there but man is it ever worth it!

It was a misty morning, the rays of the rising sun flooded more and more the new day with light.

This created such a beautiful and overwhelming mood, that i wanted to capture it .

I really struggled with my camera adjustments, but under the helpful guidance of a friend this is finally the result i got - as closest to the feeling as it was possible for me.

I'm looking forward to your opinion from an emotional as well as from a technical point of view :-))
